Camo- America's away colors
@Samuel L Jackson, that was beautiful. *wipes single, 'Merican tear*
@Samuel L Jackson, How can you tell?
@Samuel L Jackson, I've never been more proud of myself
@Samuel L Jackson, I like that.
I'm a volunteer for the HONOR FLIGHT OF WEST CENTRAL FLORIDA and we just sent 80 WWII veterans to DC so they can see their memorial. It's such a blessing to see their faces and have a huge welcome home for them. We close the airport just for them. Please like us on FB.. They deserve it!! And if your in the area come and support us by volunteering!! Thank you! And thank a veteran!!! And GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
@JohnnyG22, My grandfather went on the honor flight! He said he loved it!
I'm sure this will be ill-received because this comment is not clever or funny. I'd like to point out that the United States was in no way a "champion" of either World War. In WWI, the U.S. Entered the war very late. They entered in 1917 when the war ended in 1918, providing enough support for victory over Germany. In WWII, the United States emerged as the dominant Allied nation, but could not possibly claim victory in WWII. Britain and Russia contributed substantially to the Allied victory, and deserve their due credit. To label the U.S. as a champion would be severely misplaced. I'm a Social Studies student teacher and could not resist. I apologize for my rant, but a little education never hurt anyone.
@Pony Slaystation, heheh. Its ok. I'm a history buff student. I just ranted as well. Anyone like us can't resist. Its also funny because in history we are starting world war 1.
@Pony Slaystation, lol dont worry, the only people that actually believe the US won the world wars are Americans. theres no point arguing.
@Pony Slaystation, THANK YOU. If America's army bumped into Eastern front German army, it wouldn't even have been a challenge. This, and their arrival was slightly surprising so they ran into much less resistance than there could have been.
@Pony Slaystation, I love you. People like you give me home for this god forsaken Country.
@Pony Slaystation, concerning WWI, yea that's pretty much it. But it seems like you completely ignored or forgot to mention America's involvement in the Pacific during WWII. Had we not intervened who knows what Japan would have done to the rest of Asia?
@Sexy Homunculus, I still struggle with that. "WW2" usually refers to the resistance against the nazis, which took place in Europe. Japan, thousands of miles south east and in its own completely separate war with china, decides to attack the us, who were also not even involved in the war against the nazis at this point. So the us's intervention in japan was basically part of a separate war.
@Pony Slaystation, America entered both World Wars late, but it was mostly in the interest of major allies like Britain, and America was usually the most well off out of the participating countries after the war, due to entering the war late and knowing how to operate a wartime economy very well. So in a way America did come out on top in both wars, but that's because it's used some dickish tactics to do so, such as under-the-table arms dealing, and atomic weaponry. So... 'merica?
@Pony Slaystation, I find this ironic that I'm reading your comment while in AP History.
@Pony Slaystation, it's true that we may not be called the champions of world war 1 by any means: entering late, providing a few victories to "seal the deal" so to speak, we were a major factor that broke the stalemate, and shortened the war into the time constraints we know it has today. As for WWII, I believe we can be called the champions in a way. It was our aircraft and what have you that kept the UK from falling to the Nazi bombardment. Russia would not have even been able to repulse the Nazi invasion if it wasn't for the Allies opening a second front in Western Europe, which in fact was mostly fought by American military forces. Given the UK did there part here as well, the sheer proportions were highly in favor of the Americans in terms of troops and vehicles. So while no one can truly be called a champion of war I believe it was American military might that secured victory in one if not both engagements.
@Pony Slaystation, I like this guy
@Pony Slaystation, doesn't matter still won
@Pony Slaystation, WW1 I'll let slide, we just kinda jumped on the pile in that one. But the Allies would of lost WW2 without America, they get there due credit but don't try to take away America's. Without the USA we'd all be speaking German and Japanese.
@Pony Slaystation, hope you had fun explaining that to a bunch of 11 year olds.
@Pony Slaystation, And Canada was along for the ride? No! Canada took Juno, if anyone doesn't know about that I suggest checking it out its very neat!
@Sexy Homunculus, America single-handedly defeated the Japanese in the Pacific, yes. But in Europe, the U.S. had a lot of help.
@Pony Slaystation, So saving Frances ass I guess wasnt due mostly to our soldiers? And besides the fact that we single handedly won against Japan.
@inmyass, but Japan was a member of the Axis powers and thus allied with Germany. When we declared war on Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor Germany declared war on us, thus causing us to fight on two fronts
@Pony Slaystation, To be honest, the Soviets made the most sacrifices for the victory, with more casualties than all other nations combined, and yet America still treated them like sh*t after the war. Also, America ended the war by killing over 100,000 innocent civilians.
@Pony Slaystation, I kinda assumed it meant we were on the winning team but yea your right
@Pony Slaystation, umm Germany wasn't the only enemy in world war 2 we not only provided enough support to win against Germany we also won the entire battle for the pacific from the Japanese. I think that two front war classifies us not only as champions but as Hero's.
@Sexy Homunculus, aah. Still, that war front was a separate thing, with a different cause, and didn't really have any implications for what was happening in Europe. It just happened to involve a country that was allied with Germany. But even more still, it might have been a good thing that the us stopped Japan, 'cause why the hell were they trying to take over china?
@Pony Slaystation, thank you as an American i can say im tired of people saying that any single country won the war! Two countries that deserve a bit more credit are France and Canada; French never stopped fighting and gave the US some of their first weapon bluprints to actually have good enough guns to fight in a huge war like that and Canada supported every front
@Pony Slaystation, True, but they are part of the allied "team". A punter in football gets the same title as champion as does the quarterback if they win the Super bowl. This picture only represents one player, but every player on the team is a champion.
Hey guys! When I went to the land of the free a while ago.. I saw freedom flavored candies.. After just the crest of them on my tongue I felt a rush of freedom and that's my story of liberty..
Didn't even click on the photo and immediately started to sing "AMERICA, FXCK YEA"
My roommate has a shirt with this. It is the greatest shirt ever!
Oh for goodness sake, can we just agree that several countries helped out in/to win the war(s) and get on with our lives? Not everything has to be about a country's bragging rights, especially when it comes to war.
@flippincatturds, Oh for goodness sake, can we just agree that several people wanted to laugh at/create funny joke(s) and get on with the funny? Not everything has to be about a jokes' bragging rights, especially when it comes to jokes.
@Ray Narvaez Jr, but they actually believe this half the time...
@Ray Narvaez Jr, I'm talking about the people in the comments, not necessarily the picture alone.
I'm sorry but f**k this post. As an American actually familiar with WORLD history. This is a gross overstatement. Russia and the UK did way more to win WW2 than we did. Russia took Berlin. The UK was right beside us storming Normandy. And WW1? Don't even get me started...
In WWII Canada successfully completed every mission we were given. Winston Churchill also once said "if I had British officers, American technology, and Canadian soldiers he'd rule the world. Think about those facts for a second.
Therefore Britain is also back to back world war champions
@TittySprinklesUK, so is Canada
@Brothers shadow, and India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the rest of the commonwealth
Just ignore the other wars and occupations that America wants to forget and your good! I'm looking at you banana wars!
My brother has a shirt that say this and he always wears it. He's a marine stationed in Japan.
You know how we keep getting notifications on our smartphones/devices? Wouldn't it be great if we could get NOTIFICATIONS whenever there are new picture UPDATES in Funny Pics?? Or is there already something like that?
@Krewkatziol, this has been suggested a lot but I got to say, with Stuckpixel's upload system it would get kind of annoying getting a notification every 2 hours especially at night
@HappyCommunist, that's true and unfortunately night is at different times around the world!
@Krewkatziol, yay international community!
ATTENTION EVERYONE! I know the identity of one of the downvote trolls currently plaguing our community! It is none other than The Top Comment. I had a hunch so I clicked on the troll's name and found a very long string of dislikes, interrupted only by his liking of his own comments. I just thought is would be important for you all to hear this. Thanks for reading.
Yes, because though Britain was fighting for years before you came in, and the Soviets handed Berlin to you on a silver platter, clearly you did all the work.
@Patrick Stewart, in the pacific we did a lot of work
@Patrick Stewart, damn straight. We came in and sealed the deal.
@Patrick Stewart, That's like saying Colin Kaepernik handing off to Frank Gore for the winning TD. You may have put the work in but America finished.
@Patrick Stewart, and we did D day and were supplying England for the years before we entered. Also how did Africa get recaptured? Yeah USA did a lot of work during world war 2
@Patrick Stewart, Glad you see it our way!
@Patrick Stewart, shut it or we'll drop a nuke on you. By the way, you wouldn't happen to have any oil in your country, would you?
@Scruffy da janitor, you "did" D-Day? It was a coordinated assault, there were other beaches besides Omaha. Exactly my point.
@Patrick Stewart, yeah Beitan was fighting for years... Then we came in and, boom, FREEDOM!!!!
@Patrick Stewart, they would have lost if it weren't for the americans both times. Thats why we came in late. Because the allies were getting their ass handed to themselves on a silver plate. And in WWI nothing was happing because of trench warfare. And the concept of no mans land. So yes this picture is very accurate. We won the war for the allies both times.
@wCARROLLav, you came in to attack the Japanese, Hitler was an afterthought. The allies struggled for two years, and then suddenly, RIGHT after Pearl Harbor, you're here "to help us out"?
@Patrick Stewart, how did England help the USA take down Japan?...
@Patrick Stewart, ass
@Patrick Stewart, although america did you know pretty much handle the pacific front and helped out britain when they had to hide because they lost so much land already. Also D-day pretty much was the turning point for who would win and the Americans did a lot on that landing first and taking out major nests. But they couldnt have gone in without help from their undervalued allies always there for them: the French. The French actually gave them specs for their first guns otherwise they would've been going in with winchesters and revolvers. The designs were flawed but their help advanced America wnouhh to fight in the world war. And Britain's pilots singlehandedly kept a significantly larger enemy at bay while surrounded. And lets not forget friggin Canada who played huge roles aupporting every theatre, spending 22 billion dollars and going through from almost the start of the war to the full end, helping cutoff German lines and ensuring inevitable retreat. So yeah.
@Patrick Stewart, yes it was coordinated and about half of the troops were American and the other half came from about 10 different countries altogether
@Patrick Stewart, seeing brits post things like this just makes me think "somebody's still mad about our revolution and the war of 1812...." lol
@Patrick Stewart, look I see your point but there isn't any reason anyone should be going on and on about this. The only ones who can claim bragging rights are the bada$$es who went to fight for our country's in the first place.
@Patrick Stewart, instead of a long comment proving why you're wrong, I'll just say this about the US, we put the team on our back
@Patrick Stewart, it's funny pics not a Ph.D dissertation, your grammar rules have no power here
@Patrick Stewart, tbh I agree with you, when I went to America some guy said that if it wasn't for the Americans us British would be speaking German yet he had never heard of The Battle of Britain
I have seen people wearing shirts that say that and I want one so badly
Just a random rant, but my iPods apps kept crashing, so I deleted EVERYTHING on my iPod. Probably not the best choice, but I think it's fixed.
*Merica home of the brave, brave enough to chow down on a triple burger
@NONSENSE, I understand its just a joke, and a somewhat funny one at that, but all of these America jokes are just getting annoying. I mean, we as a country and as people have overcome so much and were one of the first to fight for freedom
@NONSENSE, and democracy. We should be proud to be Americans. And yeah sure, some of us are fat and lazy. But there's so much more to America, things that need to be celebrated. And are we perfect? Hell no! But we try pretty damn hard and I feel like that's worth something
@ForeverFred, dude calm down, yes it was a joke, and if you didnt know, in america obesity is the number one or two cause of death next to cancer which is why i put this comment, i know some of you are offended, so im sorry.
@NONSENSE, and no im not making this up
Without Canadian troops, containing essentially troops with the best people from all over the world, the world war would not have been won. U.S. can stop taking credit, it's disgusting. The WORLD, besides the French, fought those Nazi bastards and won. Note that Canada didn't have to conscript... You did. You know why that is? Because we don't have a grotesque amount of patriotism to not give a F!@.
@TeaEarlGreyHot, and BTW, we were in the war before you. We have less population and yet trained the air forces of Britain, Australia and New Zealand. We also gave you, the unites states, over 4 billion dollars to help you during the war while never borrowing or being repaid a cent. So instead of hiding behind patriotic pictures of Eagles and flags, how about having respect for the other nations that also made winning the war possible, while taking huge casualties. Take away Canada or Britian or Australia or the wicked fighters from Scotland, Ireland and surrounding UK, the war would not have been won. So have some class and stop posting pictures like this.
Title shared with the British. Germans... U jelly?
I'm high as sh*t right now and I just won back to back BONG CLEAER CHAMPIONSHIPS
There's a downvote troll amidst us.
Lets not joke about wars people died its not funny.
@Toby Smith, Why are Jew so serious? Just get Auschwitz it Anne be Frank about it.
@Toby Smith, don't worry. They probably don't care.
@The Law of Murphy, dat username, you son of a b!tch
@Major Sanity, if you tell the truth no one will like you.
Err nope, learn some history americans
Where did MACWE go?
I'm american and even though its meant in agood way this pic really isn't. America was a huge contribution to both war efforts and winning the war but european powers also helped a huge amount once america joined in ww2...ww1 on the other hand was primarily the remralization of french and british troops by the americans to help drive out the germans. Anyway...history rant is over now.
America. Bout to start WW3
Pff screw the country leaders sending young men to fight to death while they poped the champagne and go it on with hookers. No country should be proud in participating in war. Thats why I have more respect for canda than usa who spends a crap load more than they can spend, screwing my generation and using tax money in military crap
USA: Back to back Vietnam losers twenty years in a row
My mouth spits sh*t.
I saw freedom flavored candies once..
We're the best!
In 9th grade, I saw a kid wearing a shirt with these words on it. I was surprised....
As for World War 3, well I guess we'll just have to see
How long does it take a picture to upload?
Anyone else hate it when someone comments and you read their comment after they changed their username and someone else replied to them and it's super confusing? Come on people, keep your usernames. Embrace who you are.
They were delicious with freedom!
