I live in Toronto and my family and I were without power for two days. We kept food out on the porch. It was okay for the most part, but some people still don't have power. It's been almost a week with minus temps in the teens. My neighbour's tree has a branch dangling off it that's just being supported by the ice. My brother almost had a tree branch the size of a bench fall on him as he went to work. And cause of the ice, a 75 year old man in the neighbourhood was struck by a car and killed. Thanks goes to the utility workers out there still from here in Canada and those that came from Michigan. And prayers out to those still in the dark.

Was skyping my grandparents, who live near Kingston Ontario, on Boxing Day. They and my uncles had agreed that each of them would clear a foot of ice from the driveway (I assume they mean that they would be going along a foot at a time, not that the ice was that thick). Six hours later, and they hadn't done any of it because my cousins were going to be visiting and my grandparents and uncles were going to guilt them into doing it for them. Ah family
I live in New Brunswick and this is literally us right now
