Dat be true bill Cosby... wait a tick... That's Louis nvm
@TitanActual, Where do people say "wait a tick"? I want that to be a thing where I live!!
@ThatNiceGuy, they say it in Austin Powers. Soooo...
Louis ck is my most favorite comedian. Ever.
They don't get it because they are better. It's because they are willing to work for much lower than you will work for. IE: below min wage
@Sir UberDarkAardvark, IE: illegal
@TKyrozan, so we all basically decided to tell em they were done as far as working with us and we'd pay em their cut of the last couple jobs they worked on and help em get a bus ride back to Oklahoma. We all pitched in a little and got jimmy the Cherokee a bus ticket and Scott stayed in Knoxville and ended up roofing for a nation wide roofing company aspen...for about 2 weeks until ehh
@TKyrozan, so in my opinion based off my personal experiences not something I picked up from the media which is were many people get taught what their "opinion" is "supposed" to be on Mexicans, (whether illegals or not to be honest) I believe most people that have been in a contractor type setting dont look at Mexicans as someone I can pay half the rate oc minimum wage and they won't be able to do anything about it. I believe that most of the people hiring them look at it the same why I do which is if I hire a Mexican there's probably a 95 percent chance whatever we agree his pay will be I will actually get my money's worth (95 because there still are some lazy Mexicans people a people anywhere). Where hiring a native born American boy especially if they are white or black its about a 50/50 shot that they will actually want to pull thier weight vs the entitlement plague that to many Americans have and thinj just for showing up somewhere they should be rewarded. And that 50/50 goes
@TKyrozan, down usually to about a 90/10 if you a, or multiple Mexicans on the crew that not even necessarily are making more but even if they were US CITIZENS had been doing whatever trade is to be done for 20 years they think well I'm a REAL American because I was born here and I deserve to be psyed better all the Mexican did was have ti go through a long process of oriving that he wanted to be an American and take some history test that I probably couldn't even pronounce correctly and they are in my native tongue which you should have to learn if you want to come here and if I go on a vacation to your country you better learn it before I get there get there to because I'm a real American based on the soul fact I wad born here so no matter how screwed up some think and they could be a rapist murderer but when it comes to Mexicans lookin for work here we don't need that kinda scum in our country
@TKyrozan, if they are white though its ok to do whatever it takes to get the last iphone 5 even if you have to punch an 8 year old in the troat it's ok because you're a "real" american and it doesnt matter if u weren't born here you're here now and at least you're not Mexican
@Sir UberDarkAardvark, the way fhat you put your comment makes it sound like Mexicans are just going around trying to steal jobs and I have never seen anything remotely close to that. And I dont understand how people get mad at somebody for working andvdoing something that either they wouldn't do or would want outrageously high pay and they would rather sit on their as$ and draw unemployment instead of swallowing their pride and getting out and getting a Job its called a job not a fun they dont have them just so people can have a hobby to do I guess its easier to say somebody stole my job than it would be to say they gave if to the other guy that was truly grateful to have it because he will now be able ti help his family who is 3 thousand miles away and he hasnt seen in months because he's been out doing what the few real men that are left do don't think you are to good for any job if it helps take care of your family even if its shoveling horse crap it's an honest living and as long
@Sir UberDarkAardvark, you dont give them a reasin to be mad at u ie bitching about pay and how you're treated like crap anybody could come up and offer to do your job cheaper if your boss sees how your grateful for the work he gave you he wont take it away
@Jg20, I didnt say mexicans, nor does my comment imply mexicans. I was explaining why the picture was wrong. I also never said I was mad about it. You dont have to go comment from comment and assert your 2 cents..
Or maybe it's because they can be paid far less than they have to pay you?
@Lover of Waffles, No they don't. Minimum wage exists for a reason.
@TKyrozan, often it will be getting payed to do a set job and in those cases minimum wage doesn't even come into play. Its getting payed for a service not an hourly wage.
@TKyrozan, that is the way I like to be payed if it is a situation it will work. IE; if I'm roofing a house and agree I'll be payed $100 for tear off and $250 put back then I know that short of me just not finishing the job I'll be payed $350 no matter what. When I am payed like this my wage depends on how hard I work. If I bust as$ and get it done in a 10 hour day I just made $35 an hour.
@TKyrozan, on the other hand if it takes me 5, 10 hour days to get it done then I end up making just under the national minimum wage. Working like this or paying employees like this is perfectly legal and minimum wage doesn't come into play because it can change from week to week or day to day depending on the emloyee and their work ethic.
@TKyrozan, roofing is the main workplace that I have worked with foreigners most of them were Mexicans and a couple were from Central America, one guy Gabriel was a full naturalized citizen. The others were pretty close to half and half legal and non legal or had a legit green card it just might have been a family members or something along those lines. Gabriel spoke fluent English and Spanish and a couple of the other guys new enough English we could communicate.
@TKyrozan, we were all making the even money and there was 2 other white guys working with us and one guy that was Cherokee. And one thing that I can tell you is that no matter how we were getting paid or how hot is was the Mexicans that were on our crew worked their assez off even Gabriel who was the one who got us most of our jobs and had roofed 20 years. About 3 weeks before I left to go back to college and leave Knoxville the hail storm had came through, all of us decided that one of the other white guys and the Cherokee guy weren't pulling their own weight because for about two weeks every house we got was hourly and they would do anything they could to try and make the job last longer than it needed too. We normally had at least two if not 3 jobs going at the same time we usually had a guy per every 6 or 7 square so if it was a little 25 square house we were doing and both of them got on that house together the other two guys ended up doing about 90 percent instead of 50.
@TKyrozan, this is by far my longest rant ever on here it just pisses me off when I see people that have not directly been affected by working immigrants and have absolutely no idea what they are talking about and just repeating what the heard on a news station or something somewhere else and thought huh that was a good two paragraph article so now I hate anybody that is willing to do whatever it takes to feed their family...well only if they're wetbackz trying to make enough to get at least one meal a day for their children....
Getting a part time job is so hard... You don't even know guys, you don't even know.
@KiritoSAOHero, I have a part time job. I do know. It was easy to get. Don't be lazy about applying to places and following up and you will get a job pretty quickly.
@Hitlers HiLiter, I have applied to everywhere that I'm allowed to work, as well as posting my resume online, it could just be my town or the fact that I'm only 16, but I'm not being lazy...
@KiritoSAOHero, I got one when I was sixteen at a convenience store. It was pretty easy to get. Put in your app, call and check on it in a couple of days, and if you get an interview, dress up. Dressing up was a lot of the reason I got a job. Oh, and if you are in school, get your counselor to help you with practicing typical interview questions; it helps a lot.
@KiritoSAOHero, "17 or older to use the app"
@KiritoSAOHero, i applied to a ton of places and only got called for 2. I had no prior experience and i got hired by the fast food guys. Putting in an application is doing the bare minimum. Put the application in and go back and talk with the managers. Following up is key and keep going back. It's the only way
@Tali Zorah nar Rayya, I know I've said this a billion times already but I really facking love your username.
@Gabe NeweIl, haha thank you :)
@KiritoSAOHero, I work full time and last year I picked up a part time job it took me two days to find it. You are not trying hard enough.
@Tali Zorah nar Rayya, agree with Gabe. Favorite character of favorite series.
@Hitlers HiLiter, you act like your surprised people just click they are older than 17
@Hitlers HiLiter, have you seen the pictures on here? Most are guided towards 12 year olds and below now
@KiritoSAOHero, I've been having the same deal, only I'm 17. And I've been doing it ever since I turned 16.
@KiritoSAOHero, my first job was/is being a lifeguard. Its pretty awsome and pays good, most have schedules that you choose for yourself. You could probably take the red cross course and then apply for a job in that
@The STD, this might be the first time that I've ever heard of an std wantinf to SAVE someones life
@The STD, Life guarding/ camp counselor was my first job. Great experience.
Ha! This is funnier than when jimmy Carr made the joke like 5 years ago badoom chh!!! Hahahhahahahhahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahah.....
Oh so you have a Master's Degree!? *gives job to unqualified foreigner*
Good thing I don't need to worry about that yet
