The whole country is so weird, which is why I will be traveling there shortly
@theBANANAMAL, I visited japan before I liked anime and I was like this country is so freaky. Now I'm like OMFG I HATE YOU PAST SELF, WHY DIDNT YOU BUY EVERYTHING ANIME.
@theBANANAMAL, I lived there for 6 years from being a navy brat. Going from Florida to Japan was a big change. My first three years in Japan was like a vacation. I always went on tours and visited almost every aspect of Japan. From their more cultured ancient styles to their new modern styles, it was a blast. If you have the time like I had, use it to the fullest. You will have the greatest time of your life.
@theBANANAMAL, Don't get too close to an octopus..
@theBANANAMAL, Same here. I love their modern weirdness and their old culture. I feel like I was Japanese in a past life.
Does anyone else wonder why japanese manga characters have oversized eyes?
@The Last Airbender, Why not?
@The Last Airbender, Mostly because people find large eyes cute. Like on babies and puppies and stuff. However, you'll find that a lot of serious manga characters don't have such big eyes because they want to be taken seriously.
@Rin Nohara, and then there's Brock....
@The Last Airbender, the exaggeration of certain features and the exclusion of others denotes the importance of those particular features. Eyes are, so to speak, "the windows of the soul" and are generally the way emotions are best expressed. The size of eyes may also indicate something about character. For example, very large, almost oval eyes, might denote an innocence or kindness whereas more triangular and smaller, sharper eyes denotes a sort of experience, distrust, or strict disposition. Read Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics for a better grasp if you're actually interested. It's quite fascinating.
It even has missiles for the glory of Japan.
This is a highly specialized form if Japanese intimidation strategy--they know that death raining from bulbously adorable anime eyes strikes terror in American hearts.
Wow, this really helps if you're trying to target a specific person...
I will be going to Japan in a few years.
I've never been happier.
@Destroyer of Food, done that. It's awesome Japs are literally so nice! I'm a nice person(nicest one in my friend group) and they just blew me away. Even in Tokyo no one litters, everyone is polite, and they love Americans! I got pulled over 3 times as a 12 year old to be taken pictures with!
@AlterPro, I guess they don't mind that we blew them up a bit a few years ago...
@HammerGames, wow. Such education! Much knowledge.
@HammerGames, they like us cause of the aid we have given them in past years. From tsunami to nuclear plants...
@AlterPro, So that means we relayed our sins?
@HammerGames, yea and a little more.
@HammerGames, there never can be a way to repent for what America or any other country has done in war, but time heals wounds and new generations forget
For anyone who hasn't seen the documentary called The Invisible War I highly recommend it. That is all
@Bus Full of Kids, not quite, but that would've made it much happier
@Dr Professor Man Man, does it have anything to do with The Invisible Man?
And also, her helicopter probably turn into a robot
dude im joining the japanese air force
BUT! It's a manga version of her, so now she can never lose it :)
Thats my daughter!
I saw this a while ago on tumblr. That character is just a mascot, and that girl isn't a pilot.
Her name isn't censored. Lets troll her.
I love japan the shows and food are amazing not to mention there culture
"You guys are idiots, they're gonna be looking for army helicopters"
If I could have a Manga decal I would choose Phoenix Wright cuz reasons.
