Okay, I'm not trying to be one of "those" Americans, but most people that I know are normal weight. It is a very rare occurrence to see someone this big where I live in America
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I agree there is nothing average about this man.
@ndhera, except, oddly, his cholesterol
@TheSmashingPumpkins, Yeah this is pretty rare. We're not the most healthy nation, but we aren't necessarily commonly obese. A more accurate representation would be someone on their smart phone.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I don't mind if I get downvoted, but I have heard there are very many obese people in Tennesse. Sorry have never left Canada, only what I have heard, also are your from Tennesse? Cause 'Murica
@TheSmashingPumpkins, it could very well be the simple fact that overweight people are less likely to appear at the places i you go
@TheSmashingPumpkins, fvck- *of which you go*
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I partly agree well this is not your average american I would say its almost a daily occurrence for me to see 1 or 2 people like.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, there's quite a few of them in WI
@ndhera, well... Maybe he's penis but other than that
@TheSmashingPumpkins, you must not live near any walmarts
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I see it more often where I live than other parts of the country, but everyone is disgusted by it.
@Ben Chang, don't act like there aren't fat people in Canada. Even some kids in China are getting obese. I'm sure there are fat people in every single developed country, because where there is money, there is food.
@The Wise Stoner, yes there are obese people in Canada, I never said there was not. Just trying to learn more anout the country that borders mine. I meant no offense
@Ben Chang, sorry man, in that case, it is generally stated in the U.S. that the southern states like Tennessee are typically fatter. (Not to this extreme) But actually I have seen one lady like this, I live in Minnesota, and she's so big when she comes up to my gas station and just sits in her car until someone is willing to go in and make her purchases for her.
@The Wise Stoner, Wow its insane how 1st world countries have people so lazy and obese and in third world countries people are starving. I was watching a tv show called my 600lbs life. A woman hadnt walked in 3 years because she was so obese. Nothing wrong with glands or anything, just no excersise and fast food.
@Ben Chang, I heard of a story where a lady stayed on her leather couch so long her skin somehow got like infused or stuck on the couch
@The Wise Stoner, wow, ridiculous things some people do.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, this is average laziness maybe.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, like seriously how does someone let themselves get anywhere near this point
@TheSmashingPumpkins, seriously, in my school there is 1 over weight kid.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I would say one in 50 people I know are like that.One in 25 are on the husky side.The rest are fine.
@Ben Chang, I live in Tennessee. I don't leave my house very often, but when I do, there aren't that many overweight/obese people. In fact, there are very few. Now, there might be more in other parts of the state, but where I live, most of the people are of normal weight.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I live in an area that you DO see this level of obesity, but it's still far from average. Average here could be called out of shape, or described as "could stand to lose a few", but certainly not like this.
@Ben Chang, Saw your message right after I submitted mine. I'm from Tennessee, grew up here. So look at my other message for the answer.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, love the name.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, did you know that technically speaking 90% of NFL players are obese.
@Ben Chang, I live in Tennessee. As a few have stated, it is far from average, but I wouldn't doubt it if Southern States are bigger. We have kept the amazing deep fried cooking, but now we don't go out and work it off, unless that family does still have a farm. That's just my experience though.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, let me just say part of my job in the deli at farm fresh is selling fried chicken and I have seen quite a few people pushing this level however yes they are still a minority from my pov
It's still really sad but I see some people on almost a daily basis that really need to lay off for health reasons
@PrestonRX, mmmmm deep fried...
@TheSmashingPumpkins, it might be a stereotype...but lots if these pictures make fun if countries over a stereotype. Canada I notice a lot...probably cuz its where I live. Let some pictures poke fun at that, eh? (I read a thing that says child obesity is becoming an increasing problem in American. Should I believe that?)
@TheSmashingPumpkins, go to Walmart
@TheSmashingPumpkins, it's crazy to me that y'all don't see this all the time like I do. however, I live in the second most unhealthy state in America. where I'm from, this is very common sadly.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I'm not like that, but I am fat.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I agree the only time I see anyone like this is older people that have given up to stay active
@Ben Chang, Yeah about people starving everywhere else. My boyfriend is 170 pounds and only looks slightly chubby but he calls himself "fat". He is from the Philippines and from what I've seen his family is poor. Heck, he said I'd be rich over there.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I agree. Also, mexico recently surpassed amurica and is now the fattest country int the world
@TheSmashingPumpkins, in Alabama, we stay pretty fit
@Implicit88, sadly I work at Walmart and see these people every 30 minutes or so. I call them blueberries in my head.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, I find your comment smashing.
@IAmTheFather, fellow walmart employee...isnt it sad when the fatties come in and wait at the door for terribly long amounts of time just to get those little riding things
@Katriel, not there, but it in other places there are a lot of people starving
@Ben Chang, Yeah. Murica be lucky.
@TheSmashingPumpkins, have you been to every state?
I live in Colorado, lowest obesity rate in America, and that "average" person is pretty darn rare.
@GrumpyKat, that is very true, but don't visit Walmart, Costco, or anything with buffet in the name.
@GrumpyKat, that's gonna go up with legalization. Munchies mannn :-p
@GrumpyKat, ME 2!!!!!!! I live near boulder
"Average" btw Mexico is fatter.
I'm sensing some pre-conceived sentiments against Americans went into constructing this picture. :/
@Vercin, thou refrainest from saying!
There are 300 people in my lecture hall and none are over 300 pounds. Don't know where your getting "average American" from.
@Tyko, My biggest class in college has less than 20 people.
Nice attempt at a ruse. The second picture is no more than a superimposed jellybean on a Hov-a-round. Nice try, nice try.
Honestly, thats not the "Average American". I'm not like that, so it doesn't bother me, but I've always hated that other countries see America (again, where I'm from) as a big country full of big and stupid people. Sorry for the medium sized post, just kinda felt it was relevant.
I told you a million times to stop exaggerating.
I've never seen anyone like that in the USA. That's not average.
In Vegas this is pretty much accurate
Okay I have to chime in, most Americans don't look like that, or like most of the ones depicted in here. Another fun fact, Mexico overtook America as the most obese nation as of June 2013.
Ya, not the average American. This is actually incredibly rare.
A joke about a american stereotype? How dare you. American stereotypes are no jokes.
I've noticed that when I go to southeast Texas, everyone is fat a fvck, then I go back to Austin it's pretty much back to seeing normal weight people. If you see a whale they're just visiting. Lmao.
@Alphakennyho, Well not everyone. I know for a fact though at least 1 out of 4 people I saw down there had a huge gut and was grossly fat.
Not the "average" but probably more common here than most places
I don't see people this big either.
I think someone doesn't know what average means
I think this is a little less than average...
Believe me, I get these 'America obesity' jokes, but FYI Mexico is the world's fattest nation.
Oh, quite the low-blow from someone outside of America.
Mexico beat us in the most obese country though.
Average is not used correctly in this picture. I don't think I've ever seen someone like that in real life
I live in the south, where we butter and put extra salt on everything. I don't even think I've seen anyone of that size.
This is a little off topic... but did u guys hear about how Justin Beiber got arrested for drag racing andb DUI? Lol I find that utterly awesome. He needs to go back to Canada... I do not like him. Anyways, HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!! :)
@Allochka, Canadians don't want him either.
@MAN THE HARPOON, then what do u suggest we do with him?
@Allochka, I hear the moon is nice this time of year...
Never seen somebody like that in America, although I never go to Walmart, so yeah...
With stuff lile honey boo boo America may aswell be a freak show
OMG can't you Americans take a joke
@bitch I am fabulous, we can when it's not one of a hundred million unoriginal and completely false jabs at America more overplayed than Royals and more overdone than a skirt steak grilled for 6 hours.
......where are his genitals?
I luckily started working out before I became this "average" (I've never seen anyone this fat) American, because I realise how gross, and unhealthy it is. Also how much it would suck to live life like that. It sickens me that anyone is like this.
The fattest countries in the world are generally Island countries because it's part of their culture, andsome other countries that culture is eating and fatness measures your fertility.
Also, mexico is the fattest country in the world now
Mexico is the fattest county atm...
You guys know that Mexico is the new fattest country right?
Also, believe it or not, but as a person who travels a lot and lives in one of the largest cities in america, i have only ever seen 6 people that are around that fat(a little less) and only ever seen one sitting on a handicapped chair
Hey thats above average!!! By about 3 pounds (im saying this as an american)
Actually Mexico has recently became the worlds most obese country, with 32.8% of its population over weight, whilst America has 31.4% of its population over weight. :)
There are a lot of these here in south Texas
This is everything but average. Like disturbing, weird, unnecessary, and rude.
That is.. Not The American Average. If you get that,I love you.
These American obesity jokes are really starting to get old. Just like the nice Canadian jokes. Seriously people, stop.
Average American???? Oh F you Buddy. I wouldn't have a problem if it isn't say average american like were all fat and ride scooters.
I live im California near the beach, not much of them here but more inland they become more frequent, but not that big.....
Average, since when this become a trend
Yeah there's a lot of overweight people but there's skinner people, too.
I saw some morbidly obese man riding his drivable wheelchair in the middle of the street like a car out in front of the old folks home, it was beautiful
You guys obviously don't live in Florida.
Texas I see that guy EVERY day. And not just him but there are more of him. ;-; I always thought well everyone else has them. But reading comments I'm like aw dang! :( thanks guys.
I'm American, I'm 6'3 and weigh 129 pounds
"Average" yeah, right
Frank Williams, his legend precedes him.
I live in the south, and this may not be average, but there are plenty of people around here under 6ft, and over 200 lbs.
I've seen maybe one person that big in my life that is far from "average".
