@bamboozled, sometimes I wonder if these grammar mistakes are intentional, just to irk us...

@medal delivery dad, hehehehehehehe
As a believer of god I have to say we are not all this stupid or ignorant. Of course evolution exists I mean cmon people there's evidence
@HipsterMister, so you're saying that in the beginning there was nothing and that bunch of nothing exploded and created everything?
@said batman , I believe that is the big bang theory my good man
@HipsterMister, I hate how everyone is so this or that with it. I am a believer too, and people criticize me because I also enjoy science and know the theories regarding evolution, etc.
@HipsterMister, each is entitled his own opinion, but with all the explosions we have made, shouldn't there be another universe by now?
@HipsterMister, Do you mean to say you are a Christian or a Deist? If the former, you may want to read the Bible.
@said batman , idunno I'm not a scientist
@Jay Gatsby, Christianity is a belief not a religion I believe the religion you are thinking of is Pentecostal
@HipsterMister, I personally think that God created the 'big bang' which chained started evolution
@HipsterMister, me neither, but this science has a few loop holes, I just wanted to make you see it in a different light, kudos for being totally civil about it
@said batman , well the big bang was an explosion from an object with an extreme mass. we have not made any explosion like that because the object would be heavier than the earth.
@zCoded, you're a logically-thinking follower of a faith. Therefore, I must bash you!.. No seriously though any informed christian should explore science... Even if we don't accept every theory, it's beneficial to at least know why you disapprove of said theory rather than saying "this guy at my church said no to evolution so I don't believe your science altogether"
@Taliban Stan, ok, but where did that object come from?
@HipsterMister, why can't we just combine religion and science and say god put all the pieces in place to form things the way they are now.
@HipsterMister, I'm pretty sure it's just a theory, remember ken ham you can't observe that
@HipsterMister, I would like to take a moment to publicly recognize HipsterMister, and most of the rest of those who commented before me, for keeping cool and classy during this discussion. Most often, this kind of discussion erupts into a volcano of tempers and I am glad to see that that is not the case in this instance. Thank you all.
@HipsterMister, as a believer my self I believe in evolution just not that we came up from bacteria. actually I could probably just say i believe natural selection and evolution over time; to sum it up no to the theory of evolution but yes to spices adapting(evolving) over time to fit their needs
@HipsterMister, but you're right you can be religious and be scientific
@A Grammar Jew, we can haha that's how I see it and also all the people I know I feel like its a more accepted belief than most people think.
@HipsterMister, you are a fool, you are not a believe
@HipsterMister, finally another of my kind! Quickly we must repopulate.
@HipsterMister, exactly! I mean I had a charizard evolve just last week!
@said batman , you should change your username dude, I think Batman is closer to the atheist side but I think he mentions demigods impersonating gods so idk what that would make him
@HipsterMister, I agree. I mean why do Christians try to limit God's power? If God made a tree appear in front of you and you cut it down and it had say 40 rings, is the tree 40 years old or just a few minutes? He can orchestrate billions of years in whatever time span He wants.
@HipsterMister, I mean do we believe in evolution . pshhhhhhhh.... Orrr the almighty god him self. Don't be a science BITCH
@Malekorath, I would say a few minutes but I don't think anyone has ever had anything appear in front of them instantly.
@Whizkid42, it's strictly for arguments sake. I'm of course saying God could make the universe and have it proceed in a natural order over the span of a billion years and still do it in a day. But let's be honest I don't really know that much on the subject. I'm just saying Atheists shouldn't be so quick to attack Christianity and Christians shouldn't be so quick to attack Evolution. They could be beautifully entwined in some weird way and we just haven't discovered it. Needless to say I am all for science and furthering the understanding of man kind.
@Malekorath, that's true since God lives outside the realm of time. The Bible does say though that it only took Him six days to make everything and that man was created on day #6.
@said batman , the big bang wasn't en explosion in the regular sense, it more like a massive, extremely fast expansion.
@Smithy2997, so like an explotion?
@said batman , that's sort of already been proven mate. The Big Bang Theory, the show isn't called that name for no reason you know.
@said batman , there are multiple theories one stating that since our own universe expanded from a singularity, eventually gravity will overcome expansion, slowly pulling everything back into a singularity, thus eventually causing another Big Bang in a cycle of universes
@said batman ,*Expanded
@said batman , I've never heard a scientist say the universe came from nothing. I have however heard many a creationist use that argument.
@HipsterMister, Pentecostal is a Protestant denomination in Christianity.
@HipsterMister, I like you lots
@HipsterMister, We really need more Christians like you.
@Mother of Dragons, same here, it's one thing to believe in something. But it's another to reject what's right in front of you.
@Hipsters must Die, no it hasn't, it's impossible to prove something that happened in the past. You can have a very close or even correct theory as to what happened. But on a deeper level, you can't really prove the Big Bang or God.
@said batman , you have down votes because you're right...
@Malekorath, the reason I have become a non-believer (I tried being a devoted Christian. I went to church, read the Bible, but just couldn't) is because I can't except the Bible as the "Word of God". Humans are inherently selfish. The Bible was written by Humans. They say they were inspired by God. Who told you this? The human. And it makes sense he would lie. He wants to advance his religion, which in the beginning was Judaism and is now Christianity. That is way too suspicious for me. Also, the idea that our "merciful God" would say that only 1 religion is correct and then provide more than 1400 large religions, not to mention personal and local religions, seems cruel. I would rather not meet a God who is that heartless to let 70-90% of humans go to Hell just because they hadn't heard of Christianity. I think Bible is still a good book with good morals (depending on what section you read), but it cannot be taken literally. (Btw I'm agnostic)
@LegendarySuperSaiyan, thanks man, didn't want to offend anyone, just have a discussion of opinions, but wow, the down votes were kinda surprising
@ProfitlessProphet, there was a debate recently between bill nye and ken ham, I suggest watching it, I will as soon as I get the chance
@said batman , I've always brought up cause and effect with hypocrites all the time in discussions like these.
@LegendarySuperSaiyan, well if one believes in God, then they should believe the Bible, and in the beginning of the Bible it tells of how God created the world in six days
@said batman , days could be years in the bible days could have been millennium...who knows
@LegendarySuperSaiyan, hmm, well the Bible would get confusing if it didn't mean what it says, but like you said, who knows?
@said batman , well theres a coding thats been being used but not taken seriously because apparently Gods a joke but a group of Jewish and Christian used the Bible and used a code that I can't remember the name of it of the top of my head but it was able to basically make out words like Towers,Osama, etc. I won't lie I'm a bit sceptical because if they just used some Bible they found lying around I have a problem with that but I still find it interesting
@said batman , I watch most of it. Bill Nye was very soft on Ken Ham. But the fact remains that scientists who are at the top of their field do not say that before the big bang there was nothing.
@ProfitlessProphet, I'm kinda ignorant to all the details of evolution, but my question is: this matter that existed before the Big Bang, where did it come from? A previous Big Bang? So where did that matter come from etc. etc.
@said batman , Science does have all the answers. But that's no reason to fill in the gaps with supernatural causes. If we open the door to that then our science class rooms will be filled with Thor and Flying Spaghetti Monster. Because once that door is open, all mythical stories will be let in.
@ProfitlessProphet, Flying Spaghetti Monster, you're making me hungry haha, God makes sense if you think about it IMO, but right now the only thing taught in most classrooms is evolution, not creation, shouldn't both be taught and let each person decide?
@said batman , Yes in your opinion yes a god makes sense. Would you be OK with other religions having there creation stories taught in science class? The reason we don't teach creationism in science class is because it isn't science. I don't say that to be rude, you are allowed to believe what you wish. But religion should always be kept separate from science.
@ProfitlessProphet, I don't agree with the idea that religion should be separate from science, I think science proves that there is a maker, look at your hand, you think something that complex just happened to come to existence? I don't see any brand new cars just happen to come rolling out of the junkyard... all the parts should be there though, but there needs to be someone to put it together
@said batman , What you are using is the watch maker argument, which is a logical fallacy. We have car factories, so we know where cars come from. Cars do not pass on genes that will benefit new cars. In fact cars are not biological creatures. Biological creatures can pass on traits that will benefit their offspring. Science at no point has said the hand all of a sudden came into existence. It was a process that took centuries, maybe even millennia. Science doesn't have all the answers, but at least they are not throwing there hands in the air and saying, "a god did it". When you assume you already know the answer, you stop asking questions.
@ProfitlessProphet, using God to stop learning about science is not good IMO, it's all in one's worldview, you choose to view the world without God, I choose to see it with God, you would think there would be fossils of evolving animals.... since it took so many years...
@said batman , We have transitional fossils if that's what you are getting at. The evidence for evolution is overwhelming.
@ProfitlessProphet, really? I'll have to check into it
@said batman , You definitely should.
@ProfitlessProphet, you should check into creation as well my friend, nice talking with you
@said batman , I have and have not found the "evidence" for it to be credible.
@Mother of Dragons, I agree. The big bang was simply one of God's farts he lit on fire after arm wrestling with his roommate, Chugs.
@said batman , idiot. The has to be inspace explosions first and also a mass that can creat at least an asteroid
@Killer Mike, atlist science exists unlike god. Hate all you want. I dont belive in something that is make belive and a cause of most wars this days
Where are her eyebrows?
@LindseyMoose, how can I explain it if their is no God?
@ZZTopComment, You seem to have missed the subtlety of the joke.
I don't think my presence is need. I trust in everyone's common sense here
@Clarifying Christian, but what if "their" is no god? :3
@Meowstic, Then people would need they're to be something else for there worshipping needs....probrably themselves...
@Clarifying Christian, *diabetically pukes rainbows and becomes Buddha 2014*
As a Christian, I can confirm that we have a lot of dumbasses
I am a christian, and a very devout one, but that lady deserves a swift kick to the mouth because that was just about the stupidest thing ive ever seen written. Including the spelling fail
Being someone who has studied evolution and RNA world theory, I can't believe that there are still individuals that believe in Creationism. I'm not saying that their couldn't be a maker but think about it this way. If we could scientifically prove there was a make then cool, each side would benefit. But if we could scientifically prove there was not a maker, the scientific community would be fine but the religious world would be shattered. Sorry for the rant I'm drunk. I love you all. DND out.
@Deadly Ninja Drew , one question I always want to ask an intelligent evolutionist is how did spontaneous generation happen in the Big Bang and why aren't we observing it today
@Skydoesyourmom, spontaneous generation of life or matter? Life may have just arose from random organic molecule connections until small fragments of RNA were created. These fragments then joined until a single RNA could act as both a protein and enzyme. Other parts to the cell were added through endosymbiosis or RNA translators. As for matter we have no idea. One of the theory's I follow describes the universe as one that expands until it reaches instability, then collapses on itself rapidly only to explode again. This means that perhaps the Big Bang has occurs many times perhaps over trillions of years and life just hits a restart button. Cool stuff. LONGEST POST NA IS OVER
OH DEAR GOD NO NOT RELIGIOUS DEBATES
@the random logic guy, no there is no debate, the bottom picture shows science, Most Christians know that sunsets exist be cause of light rays, no bashing religions here, just a dumb girl.
@JohnEgbertPvZ, yeah its a joke dude.
Guys... C'mon. I've asked many times to keep religion out of the community. I'm a Christian and I don't post pictures making fun of other religions. It just starts arguments.
Just because someone believes in God doesn't mean they don't believe in scientific principles. As a Christian I find this post ( and the argument behind it ) very offensive because it's a flat out lie. Downvote me if you want but I think anyone who makes the argument that people who believe the Bible don't believe in basic scientific principles is ignorant and wrong.
@spongeblade, cough it's called a joke cough, I'll have the builders come by soon to help you construct a bridge so you can get over it
@spongeblade, You may not believe it, but many do. The fact that there are people out there teaching their children this is highly offensive to me.
I'm not trying to like spread my religion or anything but I've always wondered why there can't be God and science? Like I believe God created everything including science!
People like this just make Christianity look like a joke. I mean, I'm a Christian and I knew exactly how a sunset worked. God designed it that way.
Is it weird that I beleive that God created man through evolution...?
But... Bill Nye is God
Can your science explain why it rains?.... Yes, it can.
Actually this fancy pants science picture doesn't show anything about pollution which is what makes all the pretty colors in a sunset
THANKS APP THANKS, FINALLY MAKE SOMETHING WITTY AND YOU SEND IT EARLY! PERFECT YOU LITTLE SKANK
She didn't even use the right form of there...
Dumbass religious folk not knowin the difference between "their" and "there"
@TamblanTheBrick, dude, most Christians aren't like this. This isn't religious dumbasssery, it's white girl logic.
@TamblanTheBrick, Wow. I'm not even religious and I still think that was a dick move. Tons of religious people are intelligent.
I think evolution is used by God :)
LOL it's already been determined pollution actually causes sunsets.... Awks
I'm pretty sure she meant in the emotional/mental sense, not physically.
8 February 2014
Slight misunderstanding there
Ok I'm a Christian and I gotta admit that was really stupid on her part.
Rayleigh scattering theory
There* must not be a god if he can't get spelling thru to you
Nobody is perfect and nothing is perfect. I'm pretty sure everyone can agree to this. Everyone and everything has its flaws. But how do we know what perfect is? There isn't anything perfect so what is this thing we call perfect? What are we going off of when we say 'perfect'?
It's idiots like that that make Christians look bad
Yeah, science b1tch
I wonder if Bill Nye would conisder doing one last episode for his show
Science is how you would both explain, and prove that.
I am starting to think the pictures like the top one are photoshopped.
Pretty sure that sign is photoshopped
But that's just historical science. It's unreliable. Let me show you why with an absurd PowerPoint for the next 30 minutes.
i just learned about light dispersion in my ap physics class last week. its also the reason the sky is blue
How do you explain stupid people without neuroscience?
Me:Hey guys! I just discovered the formula to make life!
@The Comic King, "knows how to use sperm"
