@veritus, thanks for standing for what you believe in. I was also a missionary for 2 years, and it was awesome, while there were a lot of dickheads... I enjoyed serving the people I got in contact with. Whether they are LDS or not, as missionaries, we are there to serve and help the community. We don't push anything either, we share our believe, and you can say no or yes. People have they free will to accept or reject what we share. Thanks and good day.

@bubbles the stripper, just like a religious person might not want somebody going to their house and saying "I would like to talk to you about evolution," a non religious person doesn't like it when someone comes to their door talking about religion. Most people aren't complete jerks about it either.. At least the people I know aren't.

@Halo2552, My argument is that Athiesm should not be considered a systematic belief just as not believing in the tooth fairy is not considered a systematic belief. The only reason people say athiesm is a belief is because the existance of God is such a strongly accepted subject. All athiesm is, is not beleiving in a higher power.

@Borat, fair enough. This is probably the last comment all leave on this thread since this isn't really a big deal. But I believe agnostic is what a lot of people mean when they sy they are Atheist. Atheism is the belief in no higher power (sorry for repeating), but agnostic is really just not caring.

@1Reyesda, I'm not saying its ok for people to make fun of each other because it isn't. It's just annoying how Christians (other people as well but mostly Christians in my experience) think they can bash on all these thee beliefs and then they act like victims of a horrible crime when other people do the same thing to them! It's stupid that people are so obsessed with having the most followers in their religion. It's not a competition and 99% of people aren't going to convert if you tell them to anyway.
-
@1Reyesda, all I am trying to say is that it's annoying how Christians get special treatment just because most people follow that faith and how other people are monsters of they try to speak for themselves. I am not trying to play victim and I do treat the people who try to spread religion at my door with respect. In fact I usually let them speak and offer them beverage as a sign of hospitality. I am sorry if I came off like I was playing victim. Or whatever.

@Cocconut Head, first, have you paid attention to the news? Or what's going on? Nowadays being a Christian means, being a bigot, a racist, a dickhead, etc. so don't give me that crap about us playing the victim. Second, you are generalizing from your "experience" with Christians. Should I do the same about Muslims? And think they are all terrorists? (Btw, one of my good friends is a Muslim).

@Poser Pete, dafuq is wrong with you?!? Do you even know what you are saying? LDS members believe in tithing, you believe in paying your pastor, and making sure he has a nice house and a nice car. Morton's tithing goes to help their members and the less unfortunate. Have you even checked their financial reports at the end of the year? Those are public and are waiting for you to read them has your pastor showed you were your money is going?!? Didn't think so...

@kamakaziK, "Built for roughly $2 billion, the City Creek Center stands directly across the street from the church’s iconic neo-Gothic temple in Salt Lake City. The mall includes a retractable glass roof, 5,000 underground parking spots, and nearly 100 stores and restaurants, ranging from Tiffany’s to Forever 21."

@Poser Pete, I see you know how to copy paste from google. Good on ya. You say because the church tore down old buildings to create a newer more attractive building to Utah's most visited area and the headquarters of the church, it has turned into something else?? I don't get it I guess. And it has the benefit of making profit. Cool deal. First off, no tithing funds were used, the project was financed through other real estate monies the church had. Also the church has more members outside the U.S than in it. And most of the tithing funds come from idaho, Utah, Arizona and California cause not all members pay tithing. So it makes sense that the church would utilize other means of money making to support our building up the church in other parts of the world. Like the building of chapels in Gauna and such places and translating our written works to other languages. This world operates on money now. We don't pay tithing with sheep and cattle like Abraham did.

@Poser Pete, but we still try to follow the same holy laws and serve our fellow men the best we can. Next time there's a natural disaster, why don't you take a trip there and count how many yellow T-shirts there are that say Mormon Helping Hands. Those people aren't paid but who pays for the water, food and medical supplies that they are distributing. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Yeah. Sharing this during LDS general conference with a backdrop of LDS missionaries is just asking for a fight and is pretty classless. I was a missionary for two years and if people said no, I'd move on. Believe it or not, some people do believe in respect and compassion.
