@Fox News , rephrase: for once I agree
@Fox News , You are my new favorite commenter.
@Fox News , I almost downvoted you, then I saw your username. I never thought I'd say this but, here Fox News, have an upvote.
@Fox News , ahem
I can't tell if it's saying gays are going to hell or the people who think there is something wrong with being gay are going to hell. I think it's the first one tho.
@sexyvampireprincess, it's that gays r goin to hell. But it's a joke because Colbert pretends to be SUPER conservative republican. So basically, by pretending to be a republican, he's making fun of them. Sorry fer the long post.
@sexyvampireprincess, he isn't talking about gays specifically. He's saying that people who aren't gay can still go to hell just as easily.
@2 inches flacid, he's saying gays are going to hell with his other friends. Why are you guys making this difficult lol
*waits for political garbage comments
I dream of a day when a picture even briefly mentioning homosexuality doesn't explode into a heated religious debate. I mean, come on people! Fvck.
when in rome we shall do as the romans, when in hell we do shots at the bar - ebolorama 5:16
Tosh.o ends and The Colbert Report comes on.
".....Well, homework sounds good."
Just don't forget, they don't serve beer in Hell.
@Sexy Homunculus, well couldn't find post because phone lagged so I'm just glad to know you're alive though! Can't wait to see if you come back after the semester ends or not
I believe homosexuality is wrong, but I'm not going to force everyone to believe exactly like me. I'm a Christian, but God gives everyone the choice to accept him. I don't want to shove Jesus down anyone's throats, just share his love. But I do believe being gay is a sin.
@Mangonian Rhombus, That's nice and all but who cares what you believe? Please keep your crazy sinner comments to yourself.
@Poser Pete, well what do you believe? I said I'm not going to force anything down anyone's throats, but if your going to go on the offense, I will take an apologetic standpoint. Let's open this can of worms
@Mangonian Rhombus, I'm just so sick of hearing the stance you are taking: "I'm not trying to force anything down people's throats but I just feel compelled to throw in my two cents and tell you that you're going to hell." It's like saying: "I'm not racist, I just believe that black people shouldn't be able to own land." or "I'm not sexist, I just don't think women should be allowed to vote."
@Mangonian Rhombus, so, God gives everyone the choice to accept him. The question is, what is your view on gay Christians? What are your views on gays in general? Are you the type that would deny them any service because they are "abominations?"
@Mangonian Rhombus, being gay is that person's business, not ours. They're people too, and whomever they love is their problem. Notice I didn't say 'what they love'; I have to put this disclaimer so people don't start equating gays with bestiality.
@Mangonian Rhombus, From what I understand no one is without sin, and all sins leave you with similar consequences...so big whoop. This whole asking for forgiveness thing just sounds like you're claiming moral bankruptcy and just coming out of it with crappy soul credit or something.
@Poser Pete, I believe that God created the world in six days. I believe Adam and Eve fell into sin. I believe that God sent Jesus to live a perfect life and die on the cross for the sins of the world. He came to serve, not be served. He died an undeserved death on the cross for our deserved punishment. The Bible says in multiple places that we are to share the good news to everyone. In that day and age, Jews were not allowed to interact with non-Jews, but God changed that when he sent Jesus. He died to wash away all sins. I'm not going to force you to believe anything, but it's my duty as a follower of Christ to share His gospel to the whole earth.
@BenedickCumbersnatch, the Bible says no one is righteous. Not only does that mean that no one is perfect, it means that everyone is dying and bound for hell when they die. Yes, we are, as you say, bankrupt. There is absolutely nothing we can do to save us. But that's the beauty of it. God showed his love toward is by sending Christ to die for us while we are sinners. He doesn't wait for us to change our life the accept us, he accepts us then changes our lives. Through him we are redeemed and saved. That comes through faith and repentance; repentance literally means to turn away. Now, I'm not saying you're going to be perfect; I'm far from it. But Jesus love and power through his children is perfect, and it shows through our lives to others.
@Vucui, I do believe gays are people. I never said they weren't. Jesus hates the sin, but loves the sinner. Don't get me wrong, I don't want anyone to go to hell. I want everyone to accept Jesus's sacrifice and live for him. But I know that won't happen, so instead of trying I force everyone to believe how I do, I simply want to share His love.
@Dyrewulff , see my reply to vucui
@Mangonian Rhombus, Could Jesus microwave a burrito so hot that He Himself could not eat it?
@Mangonian Rhombus, You realize that you're not "sharing the love" right? I mean you're specifically hating on people. I mean no matter how you look at it, gay people aren't hurting anybody. The difference between the two standpoints is not just opinion. Often times homophobes (usually but not always Christians) say you have your opinion and I have mine, no! The difference is that one side (gay people) are just existing, where as the other side (homophobes) are insulting and hating on people who are doing nothing but living. How would you like it if I said something like "yeah I'm not somebody to start a fight but Christians are pretty much horrible human beings... I mean, chose to live how you want but you have the choice to accept Buddha or be a horrible person... Just sharing the love." no you're being a dick and the only sin anybody is commiting is hating on your fellow human being. Honestly I don't want to hear ranting about how interracial marriage is wrong and I dont want this.
@Poser Pete, wrong question. Jesus has limitations; he can't lie, steal, cheat, or sin in any other way. However, the question I think you're really asking is this: can God make a boulder so big he can't lift it? Wrong question. Can a square be a circle? Can you have a one ended stick? You're asking if an unstoppable force can be stopped by an immovable object. God is all powerful, that doesn't mean he can make something literally impossible. So no, he couldn't microwave a burrito too hot for him to eat, said burrito can't exist.
I refuse to read any of this on the terms that so far I've had a pretty good day
@KiritoSAOHero, first of all, who said anything about interracial marriage? I have nothing against any race or group of people. And like I said before, I hate the sin, not the sinner. Jesus was loving and compassionate. He hung out with tax collectors (basically the most hated in that society) and drunks because he loved them and wanted them to see their sin as wrong and be changed through him. I have nothing against gays. I believe, as I previously stated, that everyone has their choice. All I'm doing is my duty as a Christian to share the good news of salvation with all. I would never intentionally do anything to tear any people group down.
@Mangonian Rhombus, I still don't see how one could follow a religion where some one who rapes, murders, and steals will go to the same place as someone who simply doesn't agree. To me Christianity just seems like one big scare tactic, "agree with me or you will spend eternity in a fiery pit of hell." I refuse to believe that some of the people I know, all genuinely good hearted, kind people will go to hell just because they believe something different, or do something that is considered "sinful" in the eyes of some distant all powerful being. The bible was written by racists, sexists, and elitists so that's what the content reflects. It's just ludicrous to me, but hey; to each his own I guess.
@Mangonian Rhombus, I think that IF God and Jesus are real, which I don't believe, they wouldn't get on someone for being gay, not believing in them, or committing small crimes. If you kill someone for a bad or no reason, he'll send you to 'hell', but for things like that? No. If he's a fair and kind guy then HE WON'T CARE! But I guess since I'm an atheist then it doesn't matter does it?
@Mangonian Rhombus, here come the down votes but I agree 80%
@JarrenBenton, please believe me, I don't want anyone to go to hell, neither does God. However, because of his nature, he can't allow sin to enter into heaven. Just because they are good hearted, kind people and "don't agree" doesn't mean they are perfect. They have sin in their lives, and God can't accept that. No one who wrote the bible was racist, sexist, or elitist. Paul, an apostle, went on three missionary journeys across Europe. He was beaten almost to death, put in jail many times, and eventually killed by Rome for spreading the Gospel. Stephen, another apostle was brutally stoned (rocks were thrown at him until he died), and countless others were beheaded, hung on crosses, and thrown off buildings for sharing Jesus's love. Not just with the "good people" but also with the bad. Paul, who I mentioned earlier, was originally a Jewish religious leader who hunted and killed the early followers of Christ until Jesus revealed himself to him and radically changed him.
@Mangonian Rhombus, This can of worms delivers.
@Mangonian Rhombus, Look man I'm not mad at you, really! But do yourself and everyone else a favor and shut up. You say you have nothing against interracial marriage. That's my point, back in the day, that was the taboo, it was "wrong" to marry a black person if you were white or a white person if you were black. My point is, you obviously don't see that this is the exact same thing, you're on the losing side of a battle and in a few short decades you will be the offensive grandpa or grandma that is hating on gays. Nobody wants to hear you ranting about spreading the love, just like I wouldn't want to hear somebody ranting about loving the devil or any other entity, I also don't want to hear ranting about how Christianity is wrong. This isn't a phone call so I can't hang up but you know what I can do? Downvote you and get you blocked so keep it to yourself, ok? Good. Thank you for your time.
@Dinoception, God is kind and loving, but he is just and fair. Sin is anything that goes against God, that includes the murder level, the lying level; and the thinking level. If we want God to be just and fair, he has to be consistent, he can't just pick and choose. He has to punish all of it. But because he loves the world, he sent his only son Jesus to die for us. I'm not condemning anyone, I'm sharing the way to overcome sin and be saved.
@Mangonian Rhombus, Listen to yourself! 'He sent his only son to die...' Christianity is stupid. You're stupid. This 'God' of yours is stupid. I hate you.
@KiritoSAOHero, I'm not ashamed of the one who saved my soul. I will stop on this picture now, because I have to sleep for church tomorrow morning. But I'm not going to be quiet about my faith. If I backed down from opposition, I'd be a hypocrite.
@Dinoception, Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
@Dinoception, I don't hate you, and God doesn't hate you. He loves you. I hope he opens your eyes to him one day. He has a plan for you.
@Prestidigitonium, just curious, what part do you disagree with? Trust me I'm just curious, I'm not attacking you
@Mangonian Rhombus, I don't come on this app to be preached to. If you actually don't intend to stop and continue to annoy the users of this app by forcing your religious beliefs on others then I will contact StuckPixel requesting that you be blocked. I have beliefs too but I don't share them on this app because it is not an appropriate place for them.
@Poser Pete, I'm pleasantly surprised that you have so many upvotes. This community can be pretty homophobic at times :/
@Mangonian Rhombus, I believe you saved yourself through God. I don't think God exists but there is no way to prove he doesn't exist (and vice versa) but why would one judge his own creations? However, I do believe the Bible (today's Bible) is inflated and over tempered with. The Adam and Eve story has been disproven with evolution, but hey, how did matter take form? Maybe there is some bother being but I do not believe he is one to judge. I believe our souls are here to gain experience and learn. Not be judged by some almighty ruler. But hey, I respect your religion so please don't try to spread it when it's not asked for. Respect our own beliefs.
@Mangonian Rhombus, I don't consider myself a Christian yet, but I'm working on it. From what I see, yeah, it's a sin. But at the same time, I would not remind people that being who they are is considered wrong to you. They are aware of their actions and consequences. You need not concern yourself with others' choices. I understand that it's your position on this topic, but you will only push others away for indirectly accusing them of something wrong, especially something they cannot control. If it does not concern you personally, then please don't talk about it, and instead, pray for them. Not for them to be "healed" persay, but for God to forgive them. Its good to share His word, and I admire you for it, but many times, you have to empathize with others first, and pick your words carefully. Otherwise, you might end up pushing others further away from Him, and doing the opposite of what He wants. To everyone else, God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good. I promise :)
@Mangonian Rhombus, do you have slaves? Because the bible says you can have one. The bible was written by humans and therefore should not be seen as flawless or guide for life.
@Mangonian Rhombus, Why is being a homosexual a sin? Who said that? The bible, written by bigots thousands of years ago where beating women and subjecting people to racial and religious slavery. Please just stop preaching, Love thy neighbor, and continue doing whatever the he'll that makes you feel fulfilled in life. If you think that people like me will go to hell for being gay, keep it to yourself. I believe that when I die, if there are any god(s), they will pass righteous judgement on me for who I am, not my sexuality.
@Mangonian Rhombus, Can I ask you a serious question? If
@Mangonian Rhombus, Christianity is the only religion I hate. I remember that in my primary school (which is from age 8-11 and I don't know what the American version is) We had an assembly every single day and where we told god how cool he was and then got yelled at for 10 minutes about what would happen if we were bad. And the local church had a massive banner showing someone In hell with the caption "Eternity is a LONG time." And I once saw the vicar handing out leaflets saying "Go to church, save your soul" to anyone who wasn't a straight white person. I like the pope though.
@Sherlocky, a 'sinner' did not consciously sin and has only sinned because of how that were born/raised/taught, how can you hate the sin without hating the sinner? Homosexual people do not CHOOSE to be homosexual, their sexuality is part of them, their personality, their soul. God is never said to have gender and is only referred to as 'He' because the bible was written by male writers in a extremely sexist time. Therefor If God does not have a gender and loves everyone, God would in fact be classed as bisexual or homosexual , or more specifically pansexual. All of this is just my opinion, I am only 16 after all so this may be all wrong and if so I apologise.
@Mangonian Rhombus, And how is the whole washed away sins thing going?
@Mangonian Rhombus, well I guess I can see no one is changing their minds. I hope God reveals himself to y'all, but I'm done preaching for now if you don't want it. Have a nice day :)
@Poser Pete, maybe you shouldn't be a complete a@ss and just leave him alone. He is just saying his beliefs and I respect him for that, he isn't meting mean to you at all so maybe you should pull that giant D!ck out of your @ss hole and get a life.
@Mangonian Rhombus, Im with you dude, some people don't gave the nerve to speak their beliefs and you did, you tried to introduce them to God but they rejected. I guess they will face the consequences when they die. Great job holding up your argument. :) you should check out Matthew 10:33.
"But all who stand before others and say they do not believe in me, I will say before my Father in heaven that they do not belong to me."
@Dinoception, I'm also an atheist but I've studied the bible for a few years. The Bible says the doing gay stuff is a sin. Let the guy believe what he wants to believe. You shouldn't go around talking about stuff you don't know about.
@JarrenBenton, There is a place called purgatory where people who weren't that bad, but weren't that good, go and from there they go to Heaven. The Bible was not written by racists, sexists or elitists. Most of its authors willingly gave up their possessions. There is nothing racist or sexist in the Bible unless you read it literally, which is the wrong way to read it.
@KiritoSAOHero, A couple of pics ago a guy was complaining that a pic offended his religion and now you are blatantly attacking this guy's beliefs. Let him believe what he wants, he's not hurting anyone by saying that gay actions are a sin.
@Dyrewulff , There can be gay Christians as long as they don't act on their desires and preform a gay act.
@Poser Pete, He said being gay is a sin, not forcing you to go to hell. Everyone sins, so by that logic, everyone's going to hell. I agree his comment wasn't necessary at all, but I'm just as tired of the dbag Atheist comments as I am of the dbag Christian comments. Nobody cares about his opinion, your opinion, or really even my opinion. It's the Internet you chicken fkers
@CriTiKa1, I personally don't believe in Purgatory, that's more of a catholic belief. There's nothing in the Bible that directly supports it's existence. The early Catholic Church in the Middle Ages created this idea mainly so they could sell "get out of purgatory free" passes in essence to rob the uninformed public, but now it's recognized by the Catholic Church
@Mangonian Rhombus, Just want to let you know that you did a great job here. Keep fighting the good fight.
@John Petrucci, thanks, it's good to see at least some people agree with me and I'm not alone :)
@CriTiKa1, ...yes he is. He's hurting gay people. How is that not clear? If you blatantly insult somebody, that is mean and uncalled for. If you are saying he isn't hurting anyone, then do you also believe that racism doesn't hurt anyone? What about sexism, are these all okay to do? Fun fact: they aren't. So I won't tolerate them.
@KiritoSAOHero, How is saying gay acts are a sin hurting anyone? Most gay people aren't even Christian so that means nothing to them, so how does it hurt them?
@CriTiKa1, because gays are literally butt hurt and he's metaphorically butt hurt for them.
@Patricks Voice, I hope your brain reveals itself to you.
Exactly what westboro baptist church is trying to teach us booooo!!!!
If there's nothing wrong with being gay, why are they going to hell? And. ..why is he passing judgment?
