Squirtle is where it's at
@Two Left Feet, no doubt
@Two Left Feet, darn straight. Blastoise has cannons. CANNONS!
@Captain Charles Vane, I don't see the issue. Water beats fire.
@Madman in a Box, yeah but his cannons shoot water, Charizard shoots fire out of his mouth
@Two Left Feet, nah Kirby is the coolest Pokemon
@Captain Charles Vane, true story
@Two Left Feet, but can he fly?
@The forest, but Charizard can't learn fly either
@The forest, can't always* learn fly
@AC DC Fan, THERE ARE DOZENS OF US! DOZENS!!!
@AC DC Fan, any one who looks up the first Gen Pokemon speed runs they chose bulbasuar. And speed running is the best type of video game play in my opinion.
@AC DC Fan, Hecks yes, Bulbasaur
@stigmaoftherose, that's just wrong. Bulbasaur is the worst starter Pokemon of all three for a speedrun because he has a low attack compared to Squirtle and Charmander. He does have a type advantage against the first two Gym's and is resistant to Sarge's electric Pokemon in the third Gym, but even with those advantages he still falls behind from the get go. Almost all the trainers up to Mt. Moon use Bug Pokemon, putting Bulbasaur at a big disadvantage. Later in the game, Bulbasaur's moveset just can't do the job against the stronger Pokemon.
@AC DC Fan, I picked him because I liked him and he was underused. I didn't care about advantage, or strength when I was little, I just really liked bulbasaur and he's been important to me ever since
@TheBee, I have a story for you. Solar Beam. The end.
@TheBee, look up the sgdq Pokemon blue 150 Pokemon glitched run, it's not about readability it's about the glitches first gen is broken af and great that way.
@TheBee, I like him for the same reason most people like the other two. He looks cool, and he becomes a giant monstrosity with the power to destroy every Lvl. 6 to be unfortunate to grace the face of the earth.
@Darth Sion, I have a story for you fire blast. The end.
Hell yeah he did
He chose right.
*prepares for hate* I actually would choose bulbasaur because of the powders
@Fly on the wall , I know right! Fvck you charzard I can catch a legendary bird with the same typing with the help of venusaur.
That kids going places
Had to be the single most epic day of his dad's life. This is what makes being a dad worth it.
If he picked bulbasaur I'd have a paternity test ran no son of mine is going to use a god dammed grass type!
@payton manning, I just realized I went on a biased spree of downvoting, because every time someone had a different favorite starter.... What is wrong with me.
This kind of stuff ticks me off. How is this a fvcking important decision? They should be focusing more on SCHOOL and COLLEGE and being better parents..
@Who ate my pig, booooooo
Whelp, he failed.
Interesting experiment idea: rearrange the 3 starters randomly and try it on hundreds of kids and each one only gets to choose once. I wonder if kids this age are predisposed to pick the object in the center more often than an object on the side or if charmander's bright orange color will win every time when presented along side the cooler hues of squirtle and bulbasaur.
I get why people don't choose bulbasaur, but my Venusaur Sprout was a HUGE help when I was fighting the Elite Four, especially when I got to Siebold and his water-type pokemon. Plus, Petal Dance and Solar Beam!!!!
He has chosen.... Wisely
Can't fire blast after you've been sleep powdered. 😎
His first good decision
I like squirtles
I always choose Charmander and name it "Sharkizard"
Better hope that first enemy is water type
Second child picks gen 2 Pokemon ect… till you have 7 kids. After that you have a kid whenever a new Pokemon game comes out.
This kids going places. And definitely going to make an impact on this world
@HeyZues, he's our next elite four champion!
He must be so proud !
It's nice to see kids are still making one of the more important decisions in life.
