When the movie’s villain does something good...that turns out to be a part of his scheme
To be honest I think that allowing responsible teachers to carry firearms is not a bad idea . with all the shootings and other atrocities going on I think it could help a lot but I don't know if a teacher should be required to carry one in the school (a teacher may not be comfortable with a firearm in the classroom or not feel comfortable with other teachers carrying firearms
@21duncan, i think that at the most, schools should have armed guards roaming the hallways. Guns in the classroom is a bad idea for a few reasons. A.) The obvious one where you have an adult locked in a room with 20-30 kids for hours on a daily basis. Something bad is bound to happen with that. B.) In high schools and even middle schools, most students are stronger than most teachers. If the average student wanted to, they could wrestle down the teacher for thing fairly easily. C.) extremely trained armed guards whose sole duty is to protect the students would be much more efficient at taking down shooters and protecting students than a teacher would. You never know how the average person (like a teacher) would react if a shooting went down, they could freeze up, possibly making matters worse. However, a guard trained specifically how to act in that situation would be a much bigger help
@K1l, So basically you’d prefer a more hardcore SRO?
@TheRatMan, yeah basically
@K1l, so basically your argument is hur durrr the teachers will shoot the students. Jesus Christ man.
@BlazingBowman, No, but it’s a possibility. And having armed guards instead of having armed teachers would be much better. An armed guard would be able to act quicker and probably more correctly in the act of a shooting than a teacher would.
There are several other reasons why guns shouldn’t be in a classroom at all times, I just the two most important ones that came to my head. But, i’ll list some more
-it will 100% make some students very uncomfortable. Obviously, not everyone agrees on the gun control thing, so there will be a few, or even a lot of students in these classrooms that will feel extremely comfortable with the teacher having a gun and it can lead to distraction and falling grades
-It puts a huge burden on the teachers. I know nobody is saying all teachers should be required to have a gun, but it will still put a burden on the teachers who don’t carry one. (Continued)
@BlazingBowman, The teachers who don’t carry a gun will likely feel responsible for any kids that die in a shooting because they had the opportunity to carry but didn’t. Even though, they would’ve felt extremely uncomfortable with a gun. Not to mention the teachers who have a gun and freeze up. Most people have no idea how they will react in an event like this, and most of the time, they freeze up, it’s just a fact. If a teacher carries a gun, but freezes up (understandbly) in the event of a shooting, any deaths will be put on them likely by themselves and even the media. It puts way too much of a burden on the teachers, even if they don’t carry.
Yeah, but he said that because most of them arent comfortable carrying firearms and dont want to
@Sam the Slayer, why are women the only people who might be uncomfortable with a gun though?
@YUNoJump, Because Rosie ODonnell has a fat vagina
@Sam the Slayer, I'm sorry but what do you mean by "aren't comfortable carrying firearms?" this is america
@YUNoJump, they're not the only ones, but they're the clear majority. Look at gun carrying statistics, most aren't women because women aren't comfortable with guns as much as men are.
@Sam the Slayer, it takes a very different mindset to be able to kill a person, not to mention a child. I don't know of a single teacher, military veterans included, who could pull the trigger and kill a child.
@Lysander99, That must have been one hell of an awkward question-asking spree you had to go on.
@Sparks 1911, I got the information from my best friends dad, who is currently the principal of a middle school, but has been teaching high school in the county for 20 years. So no, it wasn't me who did the asking, but that's the information I received after talking to him about his opinions on the subject.
I feel like the kanye faces should be swapped around
