@Implicit88, you can't cure it in animals. People are giving the pets a death sentence by not vaccinating, just like they are their children. Distemper is scary too. Not all of them are deadly though. I have two cats with herpesvirus. It flares whenever they get stressed and it's sad to see, but it won't kill them. Just make them miserable.

@tmo0792, people usually pay out of their own pocket to vaccinate their dogs, i think in my area its required. Dogs, much like people, need community immunity. Its not like back in the wild where there was small packs. Dogs interact with one another from different areas and disease can easily spread. Not to mention a lot of the vaccines are for simple things like rabies (which the dog can get from another wild animal)

@tmo0792, I get what you’re saying and but when it comes to dogs and you aren’t vaccinating you drastically increase the chance of rabies which hurts the local dog population and human population or anything else and the last thing we want are increased numbers of rabid animals running in populated areas almost causing a diet zombie apocalypse
Do you know what happens when an animal is SUSPECTED to have rabies? If they don't pass the quarantine (most don't) they are euthanized and their head is chopped off, sent to a lab, and their brain matter is tested. That's the only way to definitely diagnose. But, sure, worry about autistic dogs instead.
