Who else here is an amiibo hunter besides me? Lol
@sonnyrey4L, the only amiibos I am getting are wario and Ness, thats about it. But the Dr. Mario one looks tempting, I'm scared....
@Royalty Cheeseburger, I was extremely lucky and was able to pre order ness, lucina, robin, wario, charizard, and pacman from GameStop. I'm full blown addicted, getting all of them.
@sonnyrey4L, nice, good job dude, all I know is that its a pain in the ass getting dem pre orders.
@sonnyrey4L, Me too! Just waiting on my Rosalina amiibo :)
@sonnyrey4L, I was only able to preorder Ness, Pacman, and the Splatoon bundle.
@Mice are for pussies, I have to get some more lucina and robin to trade for all the old rares I missed, it's really the only way. Down with scalpers!
@Royalty Cheeseburger, if you have Twitter, follow amiibo news and turn on notifications, they alert you right away when pre orders go up. It's one of the best chances you have lol
@sonnyrey4L, im on the reddit frequently so yea, but I'm not in a hurry for pre orders, I'll get them after launch
@sonnyrey4L, amiibo news is the reason I even have a Twitter lol.
I've seen EA's money printer. Its way bigger.
*strippers proceed to drop it like it's hot
This also works with capcom dlc.
*waits for someone to try and defend amiibos
@HippoXcrment, they're complete BS because of the availability, but I love them.
The 2DS sucks and 3DS is overpriced. I've lost so much respect for Nintendo.
@thegoalie, I bought the new Nintendo 3DS, it was 200 bucks. For a brand new system that really isn't that expensive.
@Swagneto, yeah I got the new 3ds just to play majoras mask. It cost me £80 which is very cheap. I personally think Nintendo make the best consoles.
@mahogany, I think they make good games, but not good consoles. The consoles feel like ads for their games, the WiiU gamepad sometimes turns on while I am on the menu and it plays an ad for Kirby or whatever.
@Kalam1ty, Yeah but look at the Wii, the Gameboy, they completely changed gaming
@mahogany, I agree with the game boy, but the Wii will not be remembered as a revolutionary game system. Motion gaming will be remembered as being revolutionized by the Oculus Rift. If there was a gaming history book, there would most likely just be a blurb about the Wii on a page of VR and motion gaming.
@Kalam1ty, What exactly makes the 3DS a bad system. It works extremely well.
@Swagneto, I never said that. Nintendo handhelds are, by far, the best handhelds. Their home consoles today are based solely on the games and a gimmick that hasn't been perfected yet. The Virtual Boy and the Wii are perfect examples. 3D technology that was not even remotely finished was put in the Virtual Boy. The Wii had clunky motion control that was not precise or fast enough to play full fledged games with, that was perfected by Sony with PlayStation Move, even though no good games were made for it and nobody really bought it. Then Nintendo fixed it with the Motion Plus attachment or controller. My point is Nintendo makes THE BEST first party games and handhelds, but due to their incredibly dumb policy, notable 3rd party support is nonexistent, since no 3rd party wants YouTubers to not be able to produce content on their games. Also, graphically, Nintendo is stuck in the transitionary period between early PS3/XBox360, in that some games STILL get bogged down with jagged edges.
@Kalam1ty, but you get ads on xbox too. Ads are nothing new to gaming.
@thephantomdragon , I mean forced ads that hijack all previous functions or when the system is not in use and I am sleeping and suddenly an ad for a Kirby game starts blaring in my headset.
Nintendo is only happy when it's making money and it drives fans insane
@Bonnarfarm Well, those fans are also the ones paying money to Nintendo.
@Bonnarfarm, *gasp* Imagine a business trying to make money!
@ caucrasian , all for capitalism until capatalism is all for capitalism. Making money for the sake of having money is greedy. Nintendo would make money if they would come out with quaility consumer focused products instead of products that are released just for the sake of money. Fans like being taken care of that's all
@Anonymous3301, I'm all for fandom until fandom is all for fandom. Being a fan of something that isn't making a good product is stupid. Fans would be a lot happier if they were just fans of things when they were quality and consumer focused and stopped when they started releasing things just for money. This way capitalism actually works, that's all.
But I hear you :) it sucks when people mess up the things you love over money (I'm looking at you George Lucas).
@ caucrasian , There's no problem with Nintendo finding new ways to earn revenue. But when they start demanding youtubers to pay them for making videos about their games then it becomes a problem. It's complete bullshjt that Nintendo forces YouTubers to pay them 40% of revenue from videos containing anything Nintendo. That's why Nintendo are money grubbing @ssholes.
@CriTiKa1, Hmmmm, well at the end of the day it is their copyrighted material. So it's their legal right to defend it. But I'll bet they'd stop taxing youtubers pretty quick if people stopped buying their products because of it. Which gets back to my previous points. 1. Companies exist to make money. We shouldn't be surprised when they act accordingly. 2. If you don't like what they're doing tell them in the only way they will listen to you: dollar votes. If they act like dicks, stop being fans.
@Anonymous3301, Nintendo does alot of innovative things say like the wii it was a risk. It was a risk that worked but still. The problem is its extremely risky to be innovative. Nitendo knows that say the new mario or pokemon game is going to sell really well so they need to keep producing those things in order to fund innovation. For every successful innovation, like the wii, theres an unsuccessful innovation, like the wii u's game pad. They need the cash grabs to try and make more innovative thing they need that saftey net. At least Nintendo tries when there are companies like ea who hardly ever take risks on something innovative.
@ caucrasian , Yes, it's their copyright, so they have the right to do it. But they are literally the only ones doing it. Companies like EA, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Microsoft, Sony, any other major developer doesn't do this. That's what makes Nintendo @ssholes. These are videos that not only give them free advertising, but also these videos are content created by youtubers, not by Nintendo. Fair Use protects this kind of content. When companies like EA and Ubisoft Fvck up they get so much shjt, but when Nintendo fvcks up like this, people ignore it.
*picture gets taken down*
On Thursday I spent 2 hours in gamestop trying to get the new one's I was third in line and was only able to get Pac-Man, Ness and Charizard.
