I need to see a story that someone makes with this prompt
@speedway guy, I sit at the table, waiting for the party to encounter me. They find me in a prison cell for a crime I did not commit. I convince the paladin, Thaddeus Trueheart, in particular to pay my bail so I can prove my innocence by helping with their quest. They inform me they will be infiltrating a dungeon trying to find and kill a necromancer. I am good at finding and disarming traps. And this dungeon is loaded with them. I start by disarming them without fail, but as we go farther into the dungeon they get harder and harder to disarm. Or so I make it seem. Thaddeus takes the hits like they are just a gust of wind, at first. As we trek deeper and deeper into the dungeon he starts to get weary. Thats when we reach it, the necromancers lair. The fight starts off going well, but the wizard is running out of spells, the cleric has used most of their healing, and the paladin is almost dead. He takes a big hit, falls to the ground and I quickly rush over to him with a healing potion.
"You will not die today," I shout as I force him to drink the potion. He eagerly downs the potion, and thats when the dm says it. "Thaddeus Trueheart, you feel the poison enter your stomach and eat away at you from the inside. The life fades from your eyes. You see a flash of white, and are no longer in the mortal realm." My job is done. And I have a feeling Thaddeus will be a useful slave to the necromancer.
@speedway guy, is that what you were looking for?
@Patamon, if i could upvote more than once i would
@speedway guy, I only upvoted the first part because it was in the wrong order when it showed the top comments
@BigJohnson86, I did the same thing, then someone had to even them out so it messed up again
@Patamon, #storytime #bestcomments
@TheTagger, thanks for living up to your name
@Patamon, your welcome!
And I can be your man for a meager $120 a session.
@ThePandaPool , ... and anal is $50 extra
@Colombian Sugar, well if you wanna sit on it, I'm not gonna stop you.
What the heck is a DM?
@benderama, dungeon master
@Patamon, ok still don’t understand what this is about
@benderama, dungeons and dragons. Paladins are often called lawful stupid because they are/were basically the police of every adventuring group. They had to stop all evil or unlawful deeds commuted in their presence. Even from their own party members.
@Patamon, wow I really have no idea what any of those things are, maybe I’m just too old
@benderama, My dad is 52 and used to play dnd, your not too old for this game.
@MrSmiles, ok fine, I’m too cool for it then
@benderama, apparently Vin Diesel plays D&D. So I doubt you being too cool for it is the problem.
You need friends to be able to play it.
Joking aside. Its a complex game and not for those that cant handle complexity. The Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, and Baldurs Gate computer games all use versions of the D&D ruleset. Its a lot of fun though.
@Seohn, *Baldur’s Gate
@Seohn, if you say so
@Reedmg, Fixed it. Lol didn’t notice the spelling error.
