@ThePandaPool , I know that glitch. In the original game Ghandi started with the lowest aggressiveness possible so as soon as you did something good to him the variable wrapped arround turning him into a major prick. The devs turned that into a feature.

@The Flame War, Pretty much. Essentially AI behaviors were on this numerical scale from 0-10 or something. Aggressiveness is one of those and determines if the AI makes demands, goes to war, build armies, and uses nukes. Naturally Ghandi’s default was set to like 1 or 0 because it’s Ghandi. Thing is back then a Civ adopting certain civic techs would alter certain values on these scales. One such exams is Democracy, a modern era civic tech, decreasing an AI’s aggressiveness. Of course if Ghandi is still around he picks this civic which lowers his value into the negatives and the game doesn’t like that so sometimes it would revert to the highest number possible and thus Nuclear Ghandi is born.
