Literal description is literal.
@OriginalName022, yep lol, I was annoyed by stuckpixel not uploading any of my stuff.
I always had a low self esteem because of He-Man. How could I possibly get hair as nice as his?
@NormMcDonaldHadAFarm, or a bulge like his?
This honestly does really annoy me, because who gave anyone the idea that the over sexualization of women is more important than that of men? Younglings from both genders may feel unhappy about their bodies after seeing the glamorized ones put forth by the media in television, video games etc, as well as toys? Sorry for the rant, it's just inequalities and double standards like these that really get my juices flowing.
@Bobomojo, there's actually been a lot of conversation about this though. There are entire movies with male and female feminists that talk about this very subject. Jackson Katz has a series of films titled Tough Guise that discusses this.
I'm a feminist and I like Barbie. She's a fashion doll, not a role model.
Ok Johnson we have two solutions to this problem. 1. We destroy all the dolls. 2. We destroy all the kids. Can we do both? You're a innovator Johnny!
BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!! I HAVE THE POWER!
I always thought that He-Man's hair made him look like a BIG Amish dude... I'll leave now.
IM TWO MONTHS LATE! I didn't realize I got an upload!
So I used to think He-Man and She-Ra were a couple. Throughout my entire childhood I thought they were a thing. It wasn't until recently that I learned they were siblings.
Double standard. White racism
Yea but straight guys don't check out other guys for any reason whatsoever so we tend to be content with ourselves. We may not like the way we look, but we certainly won't go around putting make up or whatever on trying to change it. Trust me, even after doing very minimal strength building and toning, we think we've become beasts and that 'the muscle is just covered by the fat'
@BunnyGruff, speak for yourself
Most women aren't attracted to men like that. However it does suck if boys perceive it that way. Although I don't think it has as much of an impact as it does on girls.
@fuvk this, most men aren't attracted to women who look like barbie either....she's weird looking.
@talmet, that's true. Standards are luckily changing, however. (Or so it seems to me, yay)
At least he-man has a excuse he has magic Bernie has implants ones obtainable and one can only be gotten buy drugs
#deal with it. :3
The thing is, there's tons of characters for both boys and girls that don't get bashed for being an unrealistic example.
Society decided it wasn't ok for boys to play with dolls, even of boys, and dress them up and do their hair, so how can the same scenario apply?
