Quick poll: Should vaccines be mandatory? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no
@MetalACE, I'm all for individual rights I really am, but when something does not cause you harm and benefits societal health as a whole I gotta go in favor
@MetalACE, Only allow those with actual allergic reactions to vaccines to not get vaccinated, otherwise yes.
@airguitarpro, Rip people allergic to eggs.
@MetalACE, I’m all for vaccines but don’t think the government should have the power or authority to mandate them so unfortunately I had to downvote.
@Sir Borksalot , there are more ways to make it “mandatory” while leaving the government out. My high school and college would’ve denied me if I didn’t have my immunizations and both were public.
@MetalACE, it depends on the vaccine I know there is one in particular that could be linked to cancer I believe it is the hpv vaccine
@Wolfbane, It is linked to cancer - it prevents it. (70% of cervical cancer is caused by the HPV virus, so this vaccine prevents cancer).
Edit: apparently the HPV virus can also cause penis cancer - so let’s put that on the mandatory vaccine list.
@Hagrids Hairy Beard, public schools are funded and managed by the government...
@MetalACE, While I’m all for vaccinations, modern medicine is still far from perfect and there have been issues in the world where vaccinations were faulty (i.e. the Changsheng incident where thousands of children were given faulty vaccines). I do think anti-Vaxxers are insane but I also believe people who don’t question whether a recently released vaccine is harmful or not are equally insane
@MetalACE, In my country, certain vaccines are mandatory for children attending any school. The only exceptions are children who have medical reasons for not getting those vaccines.
@MetalACE, they should mandate it. If you can't hit your kids because it harms them and that's illegal then you should have to vaccinate them cos not doing so harms them and others.
@MetalACE, I say let the dummies die
Smack her 3295.25 times and roast he alive.
@NameyMcNameFace, too much mass
I know this has been reposted quite a lot lately, but I vote we keep reposting it until we slap some sense into anti vaxxers.
@Lord Tator, unfortunately I don't think we can. I have noticed the reasons for being antivax becoming increasingly conspiratorial lately. Like it's no longer "but autism", it's now become "they want you to think it's safe and works"
