I love these, best one I ever got was a telemarketer looking for someone who had previously owned the phone number. No matter how many times I told em the guy wasnt available, they'd call back weekly like clock work. One day, while I was with a group of buddies, my phone rings and I recognise the number. I answer, they tell me they're looking for nick so n' so. I said oh you're looking for my brother, hold on hes right here. And passed the phone to my friend. For about 5 minutes we just passed the phone in a circle, saying oh yea, he's right here. His aggravation toward the end of the call made every call he made to me worth every minute. And I never got a call from them again. Win win in my eyes
@Zakkr169, a local radio station where I live will stop the music whenever they get a telemarketer. They'll then mess with them as much as they can to see how long it takes them to hang up. It's always hilarious.
@Zakkr169, this is the first time I have seen someone with something similar to what I get, I get many many calls from telemarketers as well as texts asking for the same person every single goddam time, the number that calls is different every time too and is a whole bunch of different telemarketers it’s just so goddam annoying. For the most part there isn’t anything I can do but recently I got my number removed from one of the call lists and have had significantly less calls since, but I still get texts. When I say it’s the first time I mean it as the first time I have seen someone explain that it was because of the previous owner of the number
@Jipz, try what I did, worked pretty well honestly
I aspire to be this anti-social
An oldie but a goodie
Once I got an auto quote from liberty mutual and they called me at 3:45 PM every day for a little over a week. The last time they called I answered by saying “if Liberty Mutual calls me one more time I will make sure that I, nor my family or friends, ever use this insurance company.” Haven’t heard from them since
The one unfortunate part of going through the uncut sections is when they make it to recent ive seen them already.
Not sure if it's just me, but I always feel a little bat for telemarketers because they're just trying to do their jobs to feed their families but keep getting sh!t on...
@Dave the barbarian, it's too hard to say "no thanks I'm not interested". Much rather waste everyone's time for an hour or 2
@Richard Cypher, the problem is when you have to say “no thanks, not interested” 3x/week for 4 years. They are absolutely relentless.
@Richard Cypher, yeah, they don't take no or "piss off ya little midget" for an answer...
