This is the way
@Pervy Sage Jiraiya, FOR MANDALORE!!!
When we find out his name isnt yoda people are going to lose it
@robee, it’s not Yoda everyone knows this. Yodas species is literally just called “Yoda’s species”
@Richard Cypher, yeah, George Lucas never actually gave his species a name. And at this point everyone's too scared to volunteer to think of one or use a focus group for it. I dont think the current Star Wars brainstorm group is up to the challenge either.
@Spork and Foon, I don't think "brainstorm" should be used in this case. "Stupid mob" seems better.
@robee, I mean considering the show has storm troopers.... it couldn't possibly be Yoda. I haven't watched the show and I can figure that out
@spelcheck , yeah i didnt mean to imply it good be i was more referencing people who dont watch star wars lol
@spelcheck , i am not sure how those two things relate
@Mkb617, In the prequel movies, we literally see the birth if the galactic Empire and Yoda is an Already an Elder in the Jedi council. In the Original trilogy, Yoda is a Senile Old man, an the Stormtroopers are the Empire’s Soldier. In “The Mandalorian”, we see fee remnants from the now defunct Empire and a “Baby Yoda”.
@SsillySsadass, the Mandalorian takes place 5 years after return of the Jedi. So we already knew that it wasn’t the Jedi master yoda. Some people think it might be a clone or his offspring. The stormtroopers are irrelevant because they could be just a part of the empire that hasn’t fallen yet. Which since they are hiding out would make sense. He is referred to as Baby Yoda not because people thought he was Yoda as a baby but because he is a baby that looks like Yoda.
@SsillySsadass, Also, this baby is 50 years old. From the end of the prequels through the end of the original trilogy is only like 30 something years. So baby Yoda would have been alive through the whole thing.
@robee, I am pretty sure the only people who might think his name is Yoda just don’t pay attention. Especially since this takes place five years after Yoda died and the baby is 50 years old
Ha good luck Disney
I haven’t seen the series yes (I’m getting around to it) but how to people know it’s babbie Yoda? Could be his cousin from down the road ‘babbie Yodle’ or something.
@Bad Suggestions, we just call it baby Yoda because there is no species name. Also watch the show. Dew it.
@Bad Suggestions, The show takes place after episode 6 so Yoda is already dead and the baby is ~50 years old so it’s not actually Yoda.
@The Freaking FBI, @Manlover, thanks peeps!
@Manlover, I agree that’s it’s probably not yoda but it could be a clone that was made before yoda died. Or maybe his species works in some other way that would make it genetically the same
@Bad Suggestions, most people aren’t calling it baby yoda because they think it is actually Yoda. They call it that because it looks like yoda and is a baby
