I bet he was vaping before it was cool
@Devils Avocado, no lie my dad called when the first electric cigarette came out with the light up tip
"You merely adopted the vape, I was born of it."

Then he can die in it too
@Taquito Speedo, actually he can die without it. That's a CPAP (constant positive air pressure) machine that holds his airways open while he sleeps. It's for people with sleep apnea (the milder forms of which result in snoring instead of suffocation), and people can and do die if they don't wear them. For example, John Candy (Barf in Space Balls) died in his sleep because he went to higher altitude without his CPAP and suffocated one night because of the lower atmospheric pressure.
@OopsIEsploded, i went to a sleep specialist once to stay over night cause i kept waking my parents up at night due to my snoring. They hooked me up like a damn 32X, i felt like i was on life support.
@Stiltzkin, yup that's a typical sleep study, technical term "polysomnogram/graph" (literally "measurements of many things while sleeping"). They check parameters like breathing rate, air flow, heart rate, chest movement, limb movement, muscle tone, noise, O2, EEG, and so on. It's because sleep disorders happen on so many levels in so many different systems, all that information is actually necessary to diagnose problems. Normally they're supposed to give you a lead setup to wear to bed for a few days before your actual study so you get used to it. But yeah. It's a lot. And it's important to get it all done because it lets them know what to set your CPAP to so it helps you instead of hinders you. Plus then they can tell if you have other issues like your apnea actually waking you up, hypopnea, and so on. (Sorry grew up with a sleep doc for a mom and I was that weird child who watched her score sleep studies for fun because I though all the squiggly lines were cool)
@OopsIEsploded, i guess they didnt find anything too abnormal since they didnt put me on one. But that was several years ago...
I'm a nursing student; don't kill me please...
My dad has this. It's for snoring
is that a hoover.
It's a CPAP device. It provides continuous positive airway pressure. It's commonly used for those who have sleep apnea.
Cpaps suck. My dad has one of those. He sounds like Vader as he sleeps.
Thats a CPAP machine and helps with sleep apenoa. If you find yourself snoring a lot and feeling tired in the morning ALL the time then you might need one.
"Hes a loser marge dump him, sweet dreams are made of these i am watching you through a camera!"
Is that a cabbage?
@TamblanTheBrick, I believe so
*farts into vaporizer while he sleeps*
