Keelah Se'lai. Tali is still best girl.
@SimonPetrikov, ah a man with taste. I started my ME journey with ME2. Tali was first ME waifu, Tali is best ME girl
@Loose Dads , I was trying to romance her in Mass Effect 1. Didn't realize you couldn't until repeating her default conversation for the 100th time.
@SimonPetrikov, during my first play through of Mass Effect 3, Tali killed herself and I literally chucked my controller at the wall, breaking it. Then I got a new controller and immediately started the game over from the beginning to avoid it.
@I Are Lebo, Any less would be sacrilege.
That part was so tense that I'm pretty sure my blood pressure piqued.
@SimonPetrikov, bought one of the 300 dollar statues of her. She is my favorite.
@SimonPetrikov, I realized you couldn’t romance tali in me1 so I romanced liara. When I got to me2 and found out tali was romanceable I instantly stopped, replayed me1, killed ashley, and entirely rejected anything from liara about romance. Shït was worth it. Purple waifu is best girl.
@I Are Lebo, i did the same exact thing. though i already had a spare controller.
@Dexios S Divine, ME3’s take on helmetless Tali was such a copout, though. The picture you can get of her face is literally just a photoshopped version of a model taken from google.
@I Are Lebo, yeah, I completely ignored that lame crap
@SimonPetrikov, I actually named my dog after her
When I have kids I will make them play through the original ME trilogy to show them how great gaming can be and then to show them true disappointment I'll make them play ME:A
@Aaron Leibowitz, but what will you do if they say that they liked ME:A?
@Loose Dads , @Aaron Leibowitz, adoption is always an option.
@Loose Dads , are you familiar with how Jack dies in the suicide mission in ME2?
@DeadXOnyx, hmm weren't the death scenes based entirely on where you assigned them and how many resources you put into upgrades? So you're gonna have to be more specific than that.
@Loose Dads , the one with the little bat like things that picked her up and carried her away while tearing her to shreds.
@Loose Dads , they dare dishonor the family! Disownment and enternal shame are in order!
@DeadXOnyx, a genius plan. The authorities would never believe you fed your firstborn to alien bug/bat/robot things. But where to find some of those...
@Aaron Leibowitz, I’ve played all the mass effects and honestly I liked andromeda
@Aaron Leibowitz, once a year I replay the ME trilogy and Im never bored. The story, the characters, the feeling...its always amazing. ME:A...meh.
@Aaron Leibowitz, I started with ME:A and honestly it has the workings of an excellent franchise. There are subtle tie ins, and not so subtle ones, to the original franchise. I mean the wooden sex scene could have been left on the cutting room floor, but really it wasn't a terrible game.
I've played MEA 4 times through, and I still find new stuff. The animations are awful but I loved the story and gameplay. They shouldn't have abandoned it. Now ME is dead.
@Loose Dads , Bort bort.
@Trevthemighty, I do the same thing! Its been years and every playthrough I find something different. I'm getting a tattoo of the cave drawing of the leviathan on my arm with a quote from tali around it
@Aaron Leibowitz, does andromeda complete the story or can I play 1-3 to get the full story?
@beer bong, ME:A is more of just Easter egg tie ins. You don't need it at all to really experience full story. ME:A is a stand alone.
@Aaron Leibowitz, I liked andromeda 🤷🏼♂️
@beer bong, You will enjoy Andromeda more if you play at least ME:2. ME:1 would be good too, but ME:3 isn't necessary for Andromeda, as ME:A leaves the galaxy during ME:2 timeline.
@Aaron Leibowitz, I still haven't finished it I got so bored with it
@beer bong, it is it's own story
@Lochu, that will be dope. I kinda wanted a N7 tattoo for a while. May still get it lol
I am a die hard Mass Effect fan and honestly I’m happy with M.E.A I feel that people were hoping it would be like the last trilogy but you have to remember it’s a brand NEW story from a brand NEW division of the company. Plus it took 3 games to build up that story and MEA just got started. Anyone who wanted it to be perfect right from the get go is/was dreaming. No game is perfect right from the start they all have quarks and little glitches and bugs that make us go WTF? Especially when it’s a new group working on a game. I really hope ME makes a return in the future I miss it and the amazing journey it took me on. Someday when I’m old and my grandkids and or great grandkids ask me what were games like when I was a kid I will tell and or show them ME and MEA and if they don’t like it that’s fine because I will never forget what I learned, saw and felt playing those games. Keelah Se’lai And this is the commander signing off! “Takes off in the SR2”
@Starchaser, I hope you don’t take the following rant personally.
Mass Effect Andromeda was a complete piece of shït. The characters were all emotionless, unrelatable robots with absolutely no personality, and had nothing but phoned in voice acting. The story is a bare bones basic tale slapped together with no consideration for how it fits in with the rest of the series. The gameplay is a pathetic hodgepodge of different styles, all crap. The bugs and glitches were unforgivable in an $80 title.
If you think MEA was a good game, it is evidence that your opinion isn’t worth shït because you clearly don’t know what the fück you’re talking about. The game was over budget and behind schedule, and it failed to make back a fraction of its operating cost. There will not be another Mass Effect game, because Andromeda so thoroughly screwed the pooch and cost EA so much money that the entire development team was fired as a result.
Andromeda was literally so bad that it killed the franchise.
@I Are Lebo, we can agree to disagree. I understand where you are coming from but your comment on “they had no consideration on how it fit into the rest of the series” is slightly flawed the developers said this isn’t supposed to be tied into the original storyline, it’s a new story in a new galaxy. The mere fact that they tied liara or Shepherd into it at all was a shock. And honestly I think your opinion on “if you think MEA was good game you don’t know shjt” is a bit much but I respect your opinion nonetheless. Was it over budget and late? Yes...yes it was. Was it what killed the series? In my opinion no. It wasn’t all the games part of the fault falls to an absolute overload of pure hate for a game that came from a literal new team! There wasn’t anyone (as far as I’m aware) who worked on the previous series that worked on it, at first.
@I Are Lebo, when the bugs came out they tried to fix them as fast as they could but people just wouldn’t lay off and wait. Heck the main reason it was soo late was so they could fix what they found. But hey if you don’t like then that’s cool. The original series is my favorite to I just think MEA was a good game in the end.
@Starchaser, a couple of refutations:
“a game that came from a literal new team” this is not an excuse. A multi million dollar project should not be given to green programmers. A game sold for $80 at the cheapest can not be handled by people who don’t know what they’re doing, which was absolutely the case with MEA. This is part of the problem, not an excuse.
Secondly, the bugs are not the problem. The facial and body animations were worse than in Mass Effect 1, a game that was made fifteen years earlier. There is no excuse for characters in a role playing game having monotone voices and no facial expressions. None whatsoever.
Finally, while I freely admit that my characterization of “if you think MEA was a good game your opinion is shït” is overly harsh, it is one I stand by. Similarly, if someone told me they thought that the Catwoman movie starring Halle Barry was a good movie, I would immediately dismiss their opinion because they obviously don’t know what they’re talking about.
@Starchaser, if someone told me they thought Duke Nukem Forever was a good game, I’d tell them their opinion is worthless, just the same.
@Starchaser, it is fair to refute my point about MEA not fitting into the rest of the franchise, though. It was vague as to when it took place on purpose.
@I Are Lebo, Fair points. And like I said before we can agree to disagree lol. But at least we can agree duke nukem forever was terrible and cat woman was a pretty bad movie.
@Starchaser, if I’m being honest, there’s also a feeling of betrayal for me with Andromeda, and that makes me hate it even more.
Or, alternatively, they all die.
Dude where tf is my boy Zaeed? Also this pic gives me so much ME trilogy nostalgia. One of gaming’s best by far. And I’ll be honest, I didn’t adore Andromeda like I wanted to, bu@t I still enjoyed it. Still got nothing on the originals, though.
