When you fake run for president and suprised you actually get elected
@taahir81, the movie "Man of the Year" has this concept too. Robin Williams is in it.
@Mr Literal, that was a comedy though, this is horror.
I'm surprised at how many people think what he promised is feasible. Checks and balances, the Geneva convention, and treaties prevent him from doing 99% of what he promised.
@UmActually, he wouldn't be the first politician to lie he won't be the last
@UmActually, in at least two ways in this situation, it's the 1% that scares people.
@UmActually, also, I wonder if he said these things to gain support of many people he wouldn't have had normally, sad truth is there a lot of intolerant people with race
@Just a doctor , He's not a politician. He's a Business Man.
@UmActually, I'm sorry what? Building a wall is feasible, deporting illegals is more than feasible. For the love of God the guy wants jobs to pay their workers for maternity leave. Not to mention republicans hold the house and the Senate.99% of is getting prevented? I don't think he will ever come thru with all his policies but stop the bs.
@ Jamaal with two As, I only said politician cuz of the presidency I thought it sounded better I was debating on saying business man. Sorry FP I failed you
@TotalBull, The wall is cost-prohibitive and deporting illegals would cause the collapse of multiple industries. Also his stances on international trade would start trade wars that you COULD. NOT. WIN.
@UmActually, What industries? That's a load of bs, either way those industries are breaking the law and deserve to be destroyed. The wall is plausible, if we cut out most of the social programs, because as we all know we spend to much in that, then we could definitely get to building a wall. Also it's a trade war we could win, sorry but considering that a lot of countries thrive off of our trade of goods I doubt any country would beat us. But I hate the idea of tarrifs, I think their should be complete open free trade.
@TotalBull, China can decimate America's economy if Trump calls for tariffs like his 100 day plan says. No congress would defund social programs entirely, certainly not enough for the wall. Every industry breaks laws, but deporting all 11 million illegal workers would destroy most food production jobs and the cost for American made cars would skyrocket to impossibly cost-prohibitive levels. Also, no country would stand with America if Trump provoked a trade war with China, when they produce 75% of the world's goods. No world leader likes Trump, besides Putin, who loves him, and Russia isn't a producer either.
@UmActually, oh you are so full of shjt, using fake numbers is already enough for me to decide the conversation is useless.
@UmActually, your so full of shjt, there are not 11 million illegal workers stop pulling numbers out of your ass, what you are talking about is the estimated amount of illegals, which doesn't mean any of them work. Also considering the fact we are in Republican majority it looks like they can attempt to refund social programs that cost so much. Also considering how much Obama spent I didn't think people would have a problem with getting a wall built.
@TotalBull, if Obama really spent too much, then we logistically still wouldn't have enough money to build a wall by your own logic. I can tell this is triggering you, so I'll leave you to throw a tantrum on your own.
@ZZTopComment, he did. His views changed as his supporters did. Hillary deleted her emails because what was on them is worse than the reproductions of deleting them. Chances are they are both racist, and they are just doing what they are told. They are politicians, 90% of what they do is pandering for power.
@TotalBull, Yeah he's such a liar it's only around 8 million in the civilian workforce! Getting rid of them won't have any sort of negative impact. Especially where I'm from where they make up a huge part of the workers. And we aren't even near the top of the list in states with the most illegal immigrants. Just give em all the boot immediately without another thought.
@Keyboardstalker, And that's were your wrong. First I mentioned Obama spending so much as to show the hypocrisy of the left, "we can't afford to build a wall", "lets spend billions in social programs that are not helping anybody( Obamacare). Second yes I am having a tantrum, nothing is more annoying than a person who brings in fake data to prove a point.
@TotalBull, calm down. Nobody's taken away your rights yet.
@MrPuffNStuff, And there goes your 4th grade view of economics, good for you. Illegal immigrants are not providing to this country, they do not pay taxes, so we, the legal citizens pay for all the social programs that they use. Also where are you getting these numbers from? 8 million?
@Keyboardstalker, Yeah, we dodged a bullet with Hillary, I don't like Trump even a little bit but this fear mongering about him taking away are rights is hysterical.
@UmActually, I don't think he will ever be able to deport non criminals, it's just not possible. The one third of federal prisoners who are illegal aliens, now they can go.
@TotalBull, Yes they do pay taxes. Look it up. I believe the number I saw was $11 billion?
@MrPuffNStuff, You being serious or at you just joking.
@TotalBull, Totally serious. Even at the most basic level think about how much is spent on sales tax and economy stimulation. And whether you admit it or not they make up a huge part of the workforce in farming, food production, and construction. It's unrealistic and ignorant to say we can yank them out and all will be ok.
@MrPuffNStuff, "This fiscal burden translates into an annual fiscal outlay of about $200 for each household headed by a U.S. citizen. Illegal immigration costs federal and local taxpayers $113 billion a year. That is an average cost to native-headed households of $1,117 a year." http://www.fairus.org/issues/publications/state-cost-studies No they don't add much to the workforce, even if you fire all of them, there would still be competition to fill the void, we live in a capitalist society for God's sake. Just because a couple companies who are committing illegal activity's go under because they have no employees the economy isn't going to collapse, it's to big for that. As well the worst part is these illegals are being taken advantage of and being paid low wages just so the company doesn't have to shell out more money for citizen workers.
@MrPuffNStuff, Also sorry if I came off as a prick, I know you mean well and things should always be up for conversation.
@TotalBull, Its all good I agree. I just know the area I'm in would for lack of a better term "be fvcked". I live in a farming community where outside of a farm the largest employer has a large number of illegals. And no one would rush to do the jobs they are doing. Believe me that's how it's always been here. As a whole, the nation's economy would be ok, but smaller communities would suffer. The town I'm in would tank after struggling to get to where we are.
@MrPuffNStuff, I also live next to many farming communities, many which are local run farms, all making money from American hired citizens( at the very least the majority). This benefits the economy as a whole. I understand your concerns, but unless you are working for one of those companies I'd say to not even worry about it.
@TotalBull, I see your points, I do. But I don't this its feasible for every community. No I don't think they should all stay. Some are here to sponge, and are a burden. But I don't think we can lose them all, based on what I see in my community. I won't even pretend to be an expert this is all general local knowledge. And I apologize if I came off argumentative but I've come to know a few and they are good people and a benefit around here. All the ship em.off talk gets under my skin.
@MrPuffNStuff, Hey, your talking to someone whose been on welfare and whose cousin's are illegals. Trump and his Trumpkins don't have the power to send them all away, but we can't ignore the burden it puts on our country. If we lived in a welfare free society with everyone pulling their own weight, there wouldn't be an argument to be had. But as you see our current state affairs keep digging us into our own hole.
@UmActually, it'll be absolutely hilarious to see how his supporters react to him going back on his words.
He's thinking of holding a pen, with his Apple ... PPAP
@Square Feet, this comment made me extremely happy
Whenever I go for a job interview I'm actually qualified for and they try and tell me I need more experience, I'm going to use this presidential election as evidence to negate that statement.
Google results: WAAAALLLL
NSA, Can you confirm?
Can we please stop with the political pics already
@benderama, When they stop being funny and this is pretty hilarious.
