IT’S TRUE! KYLO REN IS INDEED SHREDDED!
@Nurse Joy, 8-PACK CONFIRMED
Can we talk spoilers yet
@YodaGhostlightning , yes when is it fair game
@Rum Hamlet, when its not in the theaters anymore
They chose the goofiest looking dude possible to play Kylo Ren
@Siska the Khajiit, I don't think he looks goofy, maybe non-threatening, but not goofy. And tbh I feel like it perfectly displays the character of kylo. Someone who isn't supposed to be evil, but is just lost at the moment.
@Siska the Khajiit, i agree with frostbite but i also think youre onto something. I wouodve liked to see a non human or humanoid like Darth Sion from kotor 2. Hes got temper problems, is pretty strong but easily manipulated by his master.
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, he’s not a good villain really, it’s hard to feel bad for him, and you can’t fear him
@Siska the Khajiit, true, i laugh and giggle when he gets mad or upset
@Siska the Khajiit, he has such a tiny head it’s comical
@Siska the Khajiit, why do you need to feel bad for him. I don’t think anyone pitied Vader from the originals and he might be the greatest villain of all time. And if your not scared of a guy that will just murder people at random then you have a problem.
@BigJohnson86, because Vader was menacing, inhuman. Kylo is flip flopping between being likeable and failing to be menacing
@Siska the Khajiit, he looked and acted like a freakin school shooter in The Force Awakens. His character definitely got fleshed out more in The Last Jedi, though I still think he does look kinda funky (but hey at least he got rid of that stupid helmet)
@Siska the Khajiit, ok but that doesn’t address the question. He acts like a lunatic and lashes out at the slightest provocation. You said you can’t fear him and we can’t feel bad for him. He’s a spoiled twat with serious anger issues and a lot of power. I don’t know anyone that thinks he’s likable as a person.
@BigJohnson86, they want us to feel bad for him, that’s why they made Luke betray him. They want us to be like “oh he isn’t all that bad” but then they make him a crazy person
@Siska the Khajiit, no they show you that he is not a reliable narrator or that he views the world as being out to get him. Most evil people think the world is out to get them, and that’s how they excuse their behavior.
@BigJohnson86, Luke admitted to actually being out to get him though
@Siska the Khajiit, he admitted a moment of weakness that he backed off of. Kylo explained it as an attack by Luke. If you believe Luke’s story then he never struck at kylo.
@Siska the Khajiit, who keeps downvoting people over their opinion that they think Kylo was mis-cast? That’s weak.
@Pubmarine Shamwich, i appreciate those who debated rather than downvoted then left
@BigJohnson86, but if you were sleeping and woke up to a lightsaber over you, and you’re already partially corrupted by the dark side it’s entirely believable that your master, who is the one who overthrew the empire, would try to eliminate you for going to the dark side. If Kylo knew he was going dark, and woke up to someone he probably feared holding a deadly weapon over him it’s completely understandable that he would think Luke swung or was going to kill him.
If you woke up to your dad or a sibling holding a knife over you, and they said “it’s not what it looks like” and you were filled with fear and anger already...
@ajr12100, I don’t believe you’ve ever been trained in escalation of force if that’s the way you think. But think of it this way. You get into an argument with your roommate. You’re both mad(best I can do to relate to the dark side in real life) he opens his jacket and shows you that he’s got a gun. Do you think you’re allowed to pull your gun and shoot him? No that’s not a reasonable response even without omniscient warnings from the force about danger. It shows that his instinct is to kill for basically any reason. It’s widely accepted lore that Luke is basically Superman in that universe and is super powerful and the goody two shoes.
@BigJohnson86, fix your shît yo
@BigJohnson86, but the difference between being mad and the dark side is that the dark side is a consuming force that pushes you deeper by showing you and providing you with what you desire or manipulating your fears- kylo was already corrupted, meaning he likely couldn’t think rationally (do you think anakin would’ve strangled Padme if he was rationally thinking?). Furthermore, kylo likely felt the darkness in him and when he saw someone known for defeating the dark side holding a deadly weapon over him his first thought was likely “oh Fvck he knows I’m turning dark and is going to kill me” because that’s what Luke did- not to mention that it’s implied (possibly stated I don’t remember) in the movie that snoke stoked the darkness in Kylo, therefore creating a sense of hate/fear towards Luke. The fact that Luke was super powerful and a goody two shoes would’ve created more fear in Kylo as he felt he darkness inside himself
@BigJohnson86, I feel with your gun analogy it would be as if my roommate had showed his gun, and I had seen a note he wrote about how he wanted all of the stuff I had and the note also contained instructions on how to hide a body (like how Snoke stoked Kylo’s fear/hatred of Luke by manipulating him) AND on top of that I have severe anger management issues- it’s very unlikely I would obey the rules regarding escalation of force
His waist look awkward compared to his chest
He has like no fvckin shoulders
