@K1lgore, unfortunately, he cannot. Any person who has held a presidential position cannot hold one for more than 2 terms. The vice president does count for this limit. This also prevents a previous president from being the vice president of another candidate.
@tiburon, That's only if he took over as president for over two years. Even if he did, he's at least allowed to run one term of his own, if he did not, he can run for his own two terms
