@ApparitionSpy, I mean... plenty of coed camps exist. Every camp I went to as a kid was both boys and girls.

@UmActually, its just the whole thing about the girls in BOY Scouts. But was raised in scouts so I guess im taking a bit bigger offense to it than most people. Just defensive

@ApparitionSpy, just saying though man as someone who was part of scouting (in the uk) for eleven years (6-17) in all of that time girls were allowed to join and with little to no problems whatsoever.

@ApparitionSpy, I’m an eagle and was in scouting for 15 years, and I think it’s great that girls are getting into scouting. There were several sisters of guys in my troop who came on most of the campouts and were more involved than some of the guys. I hope more people like them can get Eagle because it’s an awesome experience that I don’t think should be limited to anyone.

@MedalDeliveryMan, im an eagle too man. (Congrats) I think it was just the way it was portrayed to me at first is what got to me . im all for the opportunity honestly. It just came across wrong in the article I read. Some of my best memories were from scouting.

@ApparitionSpy, same here man, scouting made me who I am more than most anything, and I just want as many people as possible to have those great memories as well. There was quite a negative knee-jerk reaction to this move but I’m glad people seem to be lightening up a bit

@LeafOnTheW1nd, the point is that we have boy scouts, and girl scouts. They should just combine them both and just have scouts and not have girls in boy scouts. Just call them scouts...

@meNoP, you can't really combine them though because one is a heavily religiously motivated organization (albeit lightening up now) and the other is not religiously affiliated. Among other differences. The two, while sharing a similar name and goal, are completely separate organizations

I'd like to point out that schools, summer programs, etc have coed camps all the time. Lots of male friends/family joined my Girl Scout trips. They just have gendered cabins/tents they'll be fine. Idk why this is a huge deal - other places just have "Scouts" and GSA is boring af. Go them

I knew a guy who worked one summer for a get-away like camp out of a hotel that was rented out. Told me them 15yr olds literally tried fvcking every opportunity they got. Night duty was the worst since he'd have to break up 5-10 mid fvck sessions that night alone. Said he even had to break up an 8 something person orgy at one point. Told me he wouldn't ever work for such a camp again, ever.

Pretty sure the green shirts denote venture scouts, which was open to boys and girls, even the order of the arrow was open to girls as well. I think it was a program for the scouts that turned 18 and wanted to continue.
This is what ive been telling people. Boys and girls camping from ages 12 to 18 ish. Together. Cant leave well enough alone. Hormones flying.
