*adjusts tinfoil hat*
If you’re curious, look up John Oliver’s Last week tonight segments on the Sinclair broadcasting group on YouTube. Does a good job of explaining it
@tampon theif, ☝️
@tampon theif, Ben Swann gives it a good reality check, as he does with everything. Check him out. You seem like a guy who thinks facts are relevant.
@tampon theif, I'm actually really annoyed that he hasn't gotten more credit for pointing out out. He talked about the Tribune merger about 9 months before this video went viral and pissed everyone off.
@NeroSaber, to be fair this is John Oliver's second time talking about it, but that still might have been before his first time I'm not sure
@The 911 Masturbator, the dude is a nutcase conspiracy theorist lmao
@griffinstorme, you can't just automatically call someone a conspiracy theorist for pointing out facts that you would rather be ignorant to 😒 gtfo. Hit the library and start doing some research.
Totally unrelated but I just want to say thanks to stuckpixel. It's kinda weird how doing certain jobs well means it's not noticed, so I'd like to point it out and say thanks for fixing the whole pop up ad stuff we had some time ago. I know it's been fixed for some time, but thanks for keeping this app always updated and improving things.
Side note: I wanted to email you guys with that so I went to look for your email on your site but it looks like it's down lol
It’s almost like they’re reading from a script rather than speaking for themselves ...... oh wait
It’s no surprise that mass media isn’t actually good news, there’s no such thing. But given some of these are from the same network, and it makes sense that they would run very similar programs if they’re the same company.
@Burt Reynolds, It’s no surprise that mass media isn’t actually good news, there’s no such thing. But given some of these are from the same network, and it makes sense that they would run very similar programs if they’re the same company.
@Sarcastic Wombat, It’s no surprise that mass media isn’t actually good news, there’s no such thing. But given some of these are from the same network, and it makes sense that they would run very similar programs if they’re the same company.
@Burt Reynolds, Oh it's much better than that. Every channel on display here are all owned by a single media company that is very fond of what they call "must-run programs" meaning a script or a "news" segment that whichever local news station is contractually bound to air. I'm not confident enough to say any more than that myself, so go check out "last week tonight with John Oliver", they did an episode about this exact topic last season warning that something like this could be on its way.
Sh!t while I was ranting people were making funny jokes. sorry all
@Themightyjonas, it I don’t get what’s wrong with it, it’s the same story, it’s not like they’re saying they’re different sources, are they?, they’re just running the same story because it’s the same company.
@Burt Reynolds, thats the thing, this isn't a news story that many different local news teams are covering, it's a script passed down from the company that owns these stations. None of the news teams shown here had the option of not reading this exact script
@Burt Reynolds, it's a massive propaganda campaign the likes of which hasn't been seen since wwii run by ultra rightwing nutjobs using their vast influence over news media to accuse everyone else of using news media for their own biased purposes and somehow not seeing the irony in that. If it didn't work on you great, but just remember this, think of how stupid the average person is, now realize that 50% of people are dumber than that. Don't take it at face value and instead think of the terrifying implications it represents.
@Donald Drumpf, I'm sorry to burst your very crazy bubble here, but every broadcasting group does this. Every single one. Especially during the last election cycle. This isn't even the first compilation, it's just the one people are throwing a fit about because "muh evul Reich-wingers!"
@Doctor Krieger, then feel free to link a video for me if it's so common
@Donald Drumpf, you can't link things on this app, genius.
Google "Trump, Russia, Possible Collusion (Remix)" for an example. The video is by a YouTuber named Placeboing.
@Doctor Krieger, yes you can and that's not even close to the same thing, picking out a handful of buzzwords that even fox hosts have repeated again and again because that's what the news is, and dozens upon dozens of news anchors being forced to read the exact same insane passage full of cognitive dissonance aren't the same thing, one is free thought the other is mass propaganda
@Doctor Krieger, I think you’re just trying to divert attention away from this companies tactics. And until you can link another oposing news group with half as many people saying the exact same scripted lines word for word (minus the names of the locations) which shows its really just scripted journalism meant to re-enforce the same ideology. I can only judge that your opinion is biased.
Tell us the name with a link (even if it doesn’t work we can all type it in to follow it.)
Find another news organization that has this many scripted stations. Note this is all one company. This is brain washing on a mass scale. And if you’ll note. Fox is the station of most of them.
Not saying Fox is a propaganda machine. But they do force their stations to read the exact same script. So you can see how it looks like a propaganda machine to many people. I mean. Why take away the freedom for journalist to do their own reporting. When you can force all the stations to all repeat the same things
@Donald Drumpf, "DAE it's only propaganda if I don't like it?"
Nice. Partisan hack.
@Seohn, hey, partisan hack, I named an example. Maybe try reading what I've written before jumping to conclusions?
@Seohn, I’ll say fox is a propaganda machine. I’ll also say cnn is propaganda machine. I use the news app on my phone and get all the different news sources fed to me but if I had to watch one I’d pick the BBC.
@Doctor Krieger, your inner thoughts: shlt I don't have anything to defend with, better just go to my default insult and declare myself the winner
@BearDaniels, BBC is worse than Fox and CNN, almost certainly because it's state-run and funded through the licences the British are forced to pay for to even be allowed to own a TV. That's some 1984 bullshìt right there.
@Donald Drumpf, what a stunning lack of self-awareness!
@Doctor Krieger, yeah but I’m not British and BBC makes quality content. So I have to thank people in the U.K. for paying for my preferred news outlet.
@Doctor Krieger, I know, you should really get it checked out, I know several good psychologists that could help
@Donald Drumpf, it really is quite incredible. Your denial that "muh Russia" was and is propaganda reminds me of when the Bernie Bros kept saying that Bernie still had a path to the presidency. And now you pull a "no u". It's pathetic. Trump is your president. Get over it, please.
@Doctor Krieger, I feel like fox is having a hard time right now. Looking at my news app there are lots of stories about fbi raiding Cohens office and escalations in Syria. Meanwhile Fox has a story about how some numerologist thinks the rapture will occur this month. Lol
@Doctor Krieger, you really love ignoring the parts you don't like and just calling me an asshole for having different views. Trumps getting impeached please get over it.
@Donald Drumpf, yep, just like the Bernie Bros. Even after Mueller announces that Trump isn't a criminal target, even after over a year with absolutely no proof, you still fantasize about impeaching Trump. That's genuinely insane.
@Doctor Krieger, dude, they just raided his lawyer's office...
@Donald Drumpf, alright, and?
@Doctor Krieger, trump could be in jail right now and you'd say it's all a hoax
@Doctor Krieger, I looked up your video. And what I saw was the exact same news station saying the same thing. That’s not what we’re talking about. In this gif you’ll notice it’s several different news stations saying the exact same thing. By several, I mean more than 10. So no your example is a poor one to deflect and draw attention away. Yes news stations on both sides have their own propaganda scale. However this having several different news stations say the exact same scripted thing. That’s far worse than one news channel just repeating the same phrase.
When one company owns several different news channels and has them read from a scripted ideology. That’s propaganda on a larger scale than just one news channel rehashing the same story.
@Doctor Krieger, I looked up the article about that. Although you are correct it says he is not currently “a criminal target.” You only tell the half truth. Because he is still a subject of interest.
So if you’re going to try to convince somebody of a partial truth. Thus creating a half lie. You might want to talk to people who are more easily swayed by those half truths and don’t verify your information.
Per the article:
The person, who was not authorized to speak publicly about private conversations and demanded anonymity, said the president is considered a subject of Mueller’s probe — not a target. A subject is typically someone whose conduct is of interest to investigators but prosecutors are not certain they’ve gathered enough evidence to bring charges.
The designation could change at any time, though.
(Meaning he could still become a target of the investigation)
Normally I want to cite the source. But every listing from multiple websites talked about it. Easy to find.)
@BearDaniels, plus the BBC has Doctor Who.
@Seohn, I'm sorry, but do you not understand what a person of interest is in the context of an investigation? They want to interview him. That's a far cry from trying to "lock him up". I lied about nothing, you disingenuous hack.
@Seohn, you're lying about it being the same news network, but here's another example that took 1 minute to find:
Have fun trying to copy the link, by the way.
@Donald Drumpf, I'm sorry, but is Donald Trump his own lawyer? Also, have they found anything? Because this seems like an act of desperation from the FBI if anything.
@Donald Drumpf, hey man we had a good run of not making it political, just chill out with the political crap ok, this is a discussion, we’re not here to split heads.
@Doctor Krieger, it’s not a person of interest, it’s a subject. Two different things, you “disingenuous hack”.
@Doctor Krieger, there's a difference between different news networks talking about the same topic , and using the same catchy term ad nauseum, and forcing your local news anchors to follow a corporate directive or face disciplinary action. Especially, when the board of directors is supper chummy with trump.
@Doctor Krieger, like I said you’re debating with the wrong kind of people. Because we won’t believe what you say and take your word for it when we can just look it up ourselves. I think you don’t actually know what a person of interest is in an investigation.
@Doctor Krieger, The term “person of interest” is used by law enforcement officials when discussing someone who has not yet been arrested or accused of crime, but who is still being investigated in a criminal investigation. The police are said to be “interested” in that person. While some terms, like “suspect” and “target” are clearly defined, the term “person of interest” is an informal term that remains undefined by the Department of Justice. To explore this concept, consider the following person of interest definition.
Definition of Person of Interest
A person who is “of interest” to law enforcement officials during a criminal investigation.
Continued. . .
@Doctor Krieger, A person of interest is someone the police are “interested” in during the proceedings of a criminal investigation. The police may be interested in this person for several reasons. For example, a person of interest may be considered as such because he or she:
Is cooperating with the investigation
Is not directly involved in the investigation, but has information that may help the investigation along
Has specific characteristics or activities that warrant further investigation
You may be able to lie and twist information to convince other people that what you’re saying is true. But those of us that verify information aren’t buying it. Go Troll somewheres else. Or you can try to talk your way out of this definition.
If you are ignorant enough to take the news media at face value, then yea it is I guess.
This is why I only watch Phillip DeFranco in terms of news.
@Ashoka02Tano, Yeah, he puts his personality and even opinion into his show, but he’s very unbiased when presenting the facts of each story. Makes for an entertaining watch, but still trustworthy
We are the Borg. Your will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.
I'm not saying that everything on the internet is or isn't fake news. Just that the "real news" told the who world that there were WMDs in Iraq that never existed.
The "real news" told the whole world 19 towel heads imploded 3 buildings with 2 airplanes.
@The 911 Masturbator, people like their head in their butt.
It’s almost like Fox News pays 1 writer to create all the TelePrompTer scripts cause it’s cheaper than paying a writer in each city or something. News is a business
@Y0UR C0NSCIENCE, it wasn’t just fix tho
Where’s my heavy space boots? Gotta go Issac Clark on some hive mind ass.
We are watching the world burn....
Mainstream media is the enemy to humanity.
