Sons of albequrque
So guys... I'm a guy and I friendzoned a girl today. Trust me, it hurts to do it to someone else about as much as it does to have it done to you.
@Brock Lee, I've done the same. It is not a pleasant feeling to tell someone you care about, "I don't care about you in that way." Pain is shared on both sides of the statement.
@Brock Lee, Especially when it means you won't get laid. *sheads tear*
@Brock Lee, I know everyone complains about friend zoning but rejecting someone is usually for the best (in most cases). I think that it would be incredibly cruel to date someone and get their hopes up without feeling the same way about them. You can't just force relationships to work. I feel like that kind of betrayal would cause more heartbreak in the long run than just turning someone down nicely.
@Brock Lee, And just to give some people hope: I will admit that I friend zoned a guy for three years because I had bad depression and wasn't ready for a relationship. He supported me throughout some really tough times as my best friend, and I ended up falling for him when I was ready. It's been a little over two years now as a couple, and I know that I made the right decision by not starting a relationship before I was ready. I hope you guys will be as happy as I am :)
@Brock Lee, I think I might've done that before...yes, one time that I'm sure of. She ended up balling and I held her for awhile. I wanted to dive headfirst into concrete afterward. She was my closest friend, too...
@Brock Lee, dude, I friendzoned 11 girls in high school. I was known for having all the girls, but not having them at the same time. It was awesome. You'll get used to it, then you'll love it, like I did.
@That College Kid, you're a dick, you know that?
@The white dude, douchebag is the actual term
@That College Kid, I think that probably both terms can be applied without any need for correction. Then again, I can't tell if you're doing it just to get a rise out of people or if you're actually a narcissist or sociopath, or perhaps a combination of the three? Who knows?
@neonpurpleraven , I believe you are completely correct. I can think of a time I was semi-friendzoned but not totally rejected either that totally messed me up. She should have been a little more firm about it, but it was also my fault for letting things get too far (I ended up trying to help her get back together with her cheating ex). I've come to terms with the past, but I know that a rejection would have been better than limbo, even given my fragile self esteem at the time. Though I agree with Brock; it sucks having to reject or friendzone someone, especially of you're empathetic by nature.
@The Law of Murphy, why can't I just be normal. Perhaps I know they're all pretty but not my type of girls. I could friendzone them all I want.
@Brock Lee, I've never been friend zoned, I've been brother zoned...
@That College Kid, to create tragedy is necessary sometimes, but to enjoy it is vile. The error is not the action but the attitude. Taking pleasure in the fact that others are suffering because they are in love with you is sadistic. Even if it's just because it makes you look good from a "bro" kind of standpoint, saying that you enjoy attracting girls so you can turn them down is revolting. But perhaps you didn't mean either of those things and you just didn't communicate what you meant fully?
@The Law of Murphy, well I didn't friendzone any of them on purpose, I just have that problem. After 2 years, it became a normal part of my life, so I just let it go on....
@That College Kid, ah okay. Your original post made it sound like you enjoyed being a heartbreaker and by extension causing pain. If that isn't what you meant then I rescind my previous comments.
@diglet, I actually sister zoned her.
Every day I'm cookin'
Sometimes I friendzone girls just so they can't do it to me first
