A Jenner joke that isn't transphobic? Awesome!
Be polite to one another in the comments, please.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for Caitlyn because she's happy in her own body now. But the only reason this is a big deal is because she's a celebrity and she's rich as fvck
This upsets me.....labelled a hero for getting a sex change...j8st cause he/she is a celeb...while our troops fight long and hard (insert pun here)and die for our freedom....fck Caitlin/bruce
@MMSieBreeze, i wouldn't really go that far at the end, but just the way the media shoved this down our throats was really annoying
@Le Bro Army, anything to keep from reporting real news
@Captain Kirk Hinrich, *dr. Evil meme* "the media"
@MMSieBreeze, remember who named her a hero. The media.
@MMSieBreeze, she's doing whatever the fvck she wants and yeah I'm using she. All I'm saying is that this media controversy is just some shjt boiled up from the government. They do it all the time. Whenever something actually important to the world happens, there's some celebrity having a sex change or Miley Cyrus mostly naked on a stage. In a hundred years if our world is still alive they'll all laugh at how we focus on something that doesn't really matter, and would go away if you just ignored it. They'll laugh because our world is dying and we just fought over something useless.
@Captain Kirk Hinrich, completely agree...cant stand how they make such trivial things into a subject of up most importance....whi give a shjt if some bumb rich person does something stupid....."normal" people do it every damn day and its not in the news....
@MMSieBreeze, this is why I don't care about the celebrities. I know about them so I can laugh at their failures and to stay socially cultured but that is all. I just try to live in the real world. My actual life. Not drive rich person in Hollywood
@Captain Kirk Hinrich, wveryone at my work is like you heee what so and so did?!..im like...nooe....dont care....do i know them no....does it affect me? No.....then why aee we talking about this?
@Captain Kirk Hinrich, chill homie
@MMSieBreeze, she's a hero because she is an Olympic gold medalist that's why she was labeled a hero
@Zracer4life, I completely understand this. But what makes her any more courageous than any other non-celebrity doing the same thing? In my opinion the award should have gone to someone else. I don't know who, but someone who's done something extraordinary and isn't always in the spotlight already.
@Zracer4life, So? There's thousands of Olympic gold medalists, why aren't they raised on a pedestal too? Hell, I had a high school teacher who was an Olympic gold medalist, what makes Jenner more special than her?
@CriTiKa1, look man I don't know. I mean think of it like as if Jenner wasn't famous for anything other then being an Olympic gold medalist, it takes a lot of courage to come out and say that you are a woman trapped in a mans body especially with all the hate in the world for anything that is different.
@MMSieBreeze, 'freedom' you mean invading countries? K buddy.
It's not like she's the only person who's come out as trans. I mean its cool that she's doin whats making her happy but can everyone please chill out with this
I think you mean Bruce! *covers head and waits for ensuing chaos
@Jim longworth, or ensuing tsunami of downvotes apparently.
@Jim longworth, I upvoted because you are still technically correct
@Jim longworth, GET DOWN, SOLDIER!!
@Jim longworth, here, have an upvote friend
They're using the celebrity factor because it's more likely to gain awareness where as people pay no heed to random stories about teens switching genders. The fact that Bruce has been in the public eye for so long and came out as transgendered means that most people have at least heard of him, so they're slightly more likely to be interested in what's going on.
I do believe you should be allowed to be who you are or wven how you feel and if you have the money then be my guest, but this does not make you special
I hope no one takes this the wrong way and gets mad or anything for this, but Caitlyn is a hero in her own way. Not just because she came out, but because she did so later in life. Imagine the struggle she had to go through, living like me this, especially with the family sh was associated with. Anyone that can put up with all the idiotic crap that comes from that family is a hero to me.
@Branded A Freak, THANK YOU
@Branded A Freak, *he, he is still biologically a he, an attention where maybe but still a he
@knight of shift, Attention where? Thankfully, I understood what you meant, but make no mistake. I said she for a reason. Please don't correct what I said just because you don't agree. I have a sinking suspicion that if a friend of yours was going through the same thing, you would still be disrespectful and call them by the gender they were born with. No what Caitlyn was before, she now asks to be called a she. Please respect that if you can or don't say anything at all. And that goes for others refusing to do the same.
@Branded A Freak, I could decide to be identified as a Thundercats but my DNA would still show that I'm a man, whether you belive in God or pure evolution you were put on this earth a man or a woman
@knight of shift, I don't want to be rude, so I do apologize if I come off as such. At least I don't name call. Anyway, yes, what you said is true: identify as Thundercat buy still a man. It's...put that way, I can see your point. But I've also been around crossdressers, transexuals, and the like. No matter what that person was born as, that person feels more comfortable as the opposite. We have a society now that's supposed to be more open. Hell, gay marriage is becoming possible in some places. But we as a society are looking down on those that are different still and those that are wanting to be more comfortable in their skin. I don't think we should judge nor do we have the right to. Let Caitlyn do what she wants and respect her for it. That's all I'm saying
@Branded A Freak, first of I sincerely thank you for keeping this discussion as pleasant as it could be, secondly please Don't get me wrong I don't disagree with what he did, I have always believed to each his own, I simply was saying that technically he is a man so I see him as one. I shouldn't have tried to correct you and for that I am sorry but I still feel the way I do and that's that
@Branded A Freak, absolutely and I would treat him just like any other human same with homosexuals we are all the same here
@knight of shift, No worries. I get what you're saying and for that, I'll respect your right to call her as you will. I do apologize for how I acted at first, but you have been pleasant to converse with on this subject and.. Boy, that's coming out all prim and proper. Anyway, I do respect your right to address Caitlyn/ Bruce as you will. I meant no disrespect before. I just hate having people act rude towards someone going through this, whether famous or not.
I think that Canada just invaded Funny Pics
@Ima6pack, Nah, I was raised in Louisiana. I grew up with some amount of respect for others. Plus, I see no point in being rude to someone that I most likely will never see face to face. I don't see the point in being rude to anyone, actually. I just have been that way for a while ^_^
@Branded A Freak, that is good, there are too many assholes out there
She's been hungry for a while then
@Faithful Handyman, *he
What everyone who shjts on "celebrities" doesn't understated is that they're rich as fvck and could give a fvck about what people think.
Still not Himself
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH MY EYES!!!!!
Just enjoy the damn joke ffs.
I hope this doesn't sound like I'm hating because that's not the intent but .. I'm pretty sure you could be the ugliest mutherfvcker out there and come out of a Cosmo photo shoot looking gorgeous. I'm all for empowerment and being who you are but, c'mon, trans people have been going through this struggle for quite some time without all the support and the 'You go, girl's'.
If I get rich one day, I'll do something mildly controversial and get an award for it! Seriously, though, f*ck celebrities and media bias towards them.
This is why I hate getting hungry.
