"No Sarah you can't pet her, she could be rabid, and you could catch cantevenitis"
@Car Kid, Or cooties.
@Car Kid, Trust me, it's not good
So, short story. A while ago when I was a wee lad, I went to Monterey, Ca. We were checking tidepools for various sea creatures and stuff. On our way back to shore (because the tide was coming in) I heard this loud *ouuurrrrhhh* some sort of wailing sound, I look back and I swear to god, one of these seals pops his head up and glares at me. I had just stepped on a seal... Holy poop. Anyways, seals flop their way back to sea in a hilarious manner. Also, ever since I've loved seals, and these meme. Brings back memories!
@Capn MobiMcDickens, I used to live in Monterey! But you could hear the seals and sea lions for miles away it seemed at times
@Draco MaIfoy, I lived there for a short time myself! There were geese pooping all over the place though...
When your 5 year old knows better parenting then a parent you know you're doing something right
Those objecting to the idea of a lead on a toddler have obviously never tried to walk with one. The lead gives you physical control and situational awareness without having to keep hold of their hand, and they can't dart out into traffic or be snatched by some stranger. A harness and lead is neither cruel nor degrading. My kids loved the freedom it gave them. It shows a lot more love than letting them run loose does.
@Filker, I do see your point, and I guess I've looked at this the wrong way for some time now. However, you can definitely tell when a parent is just being negligent and using one so they don't have to pay attention to their kid. And some children are calm enough to not need one, but whether or not they are usually deals with their nature, not the way they are raised.
@Filker, Totally agree when I babysat a toddler girl I wish I had one. She behaves really well but if she saw something exciting she would break away and run to go look at it. I think it helps with parents who genuinely watch their own kids but sometimes kids will try to run and you need extra protection. As long as you don't hurt your child with a lead I see it as fine.
I don't even put my dog on a leash. I was at the beach and this guy yelled at me to put her on a leash, I yelled back "put your wife on a leash!" I won that battle.
Anyone else find the addition of "white" wholly unnecessary?
I know I'm a little late, but I couldn't talk about it yesterday without getting upset. RIP Joan...You have been one of my greatest inspirations. Keep 'em laughing in Heaven, honey.
"Why yes of course! My little Rebecca's gonna grow up to be some mans pet anyways!" ~ Supportive mom
Why do hispanics let their kids run around unsupervised? It's disrespectful! At least white people have their children under control!
Why does the woman have to be white? Why can't it just be a woman?!
Maybe if she didnt try to climb trees...
Why do white people always put their children on leashes? This is why they always shoot up school
@BigDaddyScalbrine, my parents had me on a leash because I liked to run away. So maybe they dont want to lose their fűcking non-behaving kids.
