@Samps, ice swear it's true
@Tactical Bagel, icee what you did there!
@Funny Dicks, these jokes are having a snowball effect...
@Tactical Bagel, there snow stopping it now, we might as well plow through it
@Funny Dicks, I question the authenticity of the statement in the above image. ....I mean...uhh. avalanche
@Samps, I just poured the syrup...
@Samps, Hey guys, let's chill out...
@Samps, you have the best comments
@Samps, these jokes sleigh me
@Tactical Bagel, punpunpunpunpun
@Funny Dicks, .....I'm not funny and I know that if I say punny I will be thrown out and sent to the pits of hell. I take puns seriously.
@Strawberry Milk, am canadian. can confirm deliciousness.
@Tactical Bagel, I can't believe my ice
How many people read this and immediately wanted to try it?
@hay der, Or have already tried it.
@Hunted4blood, It's delicious, trust me I'm canadian
@ThatAnnoyingCanadian, me too
@ThatAnnoyingCanadian, can confirm so are beaver tails!!!!!!!! ( I'm Canadian ) :p
@Hunted4blood, it's more of a Quebec thing, but I have tried it in good ol' Alberta.
@wise indian chief, here in southern Ontario we do it.
@Hunted4blood, that's true, they were doing it in Stratford when I visited
@wise indian chief, definitely tried it. Also from good ol' alberta. I'm from red deer, where you from?
@Billy Ray Cyrus, good old cow town (Calgary) how bad was the blizzard up there?
@hay der, it's really good, I feel bad for Americans
I don't care for maple syrup. I'll be going to Canadian hell, but hey, Canadian hell is just a chilly Justin Bieber concert.
It makes a real nice taffy like treat.
Don't knock it till you try it
I had that one time in Quebec. It was so good. Almost like a cold taffy.
@TheCCsDBM, it I called tire sur la neige literally meaning taffy on snow
I had no idea what the fvck I was looking at until the person said "maple syrup"
Does everyone not do this?
@humerus, I remember reading about it in a book but it was never cold enough where I lived
If you ever get the chance to do this do it. Get warm canadian maple syrup (naturally made) get some clean snow and pour it in a line then get a popsicle stick and roll it up. Its the 2nd best warm and gooey thing to have in your mouth.
So good! This is as real of a thing as poutine. I first had it at Festival de Voyager in grade 3. It's quite good.
Also, it's not an all-around Canadian thing, it's a French Canadian thing
This was my favorite thing to do as a kid
Looks like skid marks....
Well! Time to pack.
@DepressedRetailGirl, Oh wait. I live in Utah. It's 2 degrees outside. Were's my maple syrup!?
Why do we let you be a country? Plus, you call your cops Mounties.
@AmericanBacon, here in Toronto we call ours police. And I'm shocked you didn't mention anything about our bacon
@Racist Arab, it was a how I met your mother reference. And I'm all about the American Bacon! Although Canadian Bacon is tasty on pizza.
@AmericanBacon, here in Canada we call most of our police "police"
@AmericanBacon, Tip: put quotes around references if they're offensive to anyone, that way no one will
@AmericanBacon, no one will downvote you for expressing an unpopular belief
@Not Usually Serious, noted. HIMYM is such a popular show in this community and I figured some would catch the reference. I'm not here to troll or anything so that's my bad. No excuses. I'm taking full responsibility for that one. Didn't think it all the way through. My bad.
@AmericanBacon, only the RCMP (royal Canadian mounted police) are called Mounties, the rest are just normal police.
@AmericanBacon, your username has the word bacon in it..... Just come out, dude. We know there's jealousy of wanting to be Canadian. We are just that awesome.
Isn't snow incredibly dirty and bacteria infested (because it's been on the ground)? I wouldn't know, I've lived in Florida my whole life and have never even seen snow.
@Nipples, only if you eat the part that touches the ground. If you scoop up the top layer it's usually pretty clean.
@Nipples, we use crushed up ice like you find in a snow come not ground snow.
As a Canadian we do this for carnavial in Quebec
Maple taffy it's really good if you have a sweet tooth
I used to live in Vermont. I can confirm, this is true.
We do this in Vermont too
My friend Did this and I had a lil peice IT'S SO GOOD
I've had this and it is amazing.
It has to be the perfect snow type there's seven types
Spotza!!! A staple at the maple festivals :)
Any of our fellow Canadians out here have tried this?
Wait you guys actually thought it was some kind of joke? Haha I feel so Canadian right now. Snow and maple syrup is AMAZING. I swear to god I will get a bowl, fill it with snow, cover it with maple syrup, then eat it with a spoon. I had no idea that was weird until I saw this post......
Oh my god it's sooo good. I've tried it since I'm Canadian
I'm Canadian and I have to admit I do this all the time no joke
I live in Minnesota and even I've tried this...
I don't know who the heck does this, but I can honestly tell you nobody but crazy hoboes would do that here in Toronto...
My dads from Vermont and he used to make this for us... I never thought it was weird until now
I guess adults just wanted yellow snow for themselves!!!
Canadian crack anyone?
I think everyone should try it, its soo good
As a Canadian I can confirm this
I am Canadian and I am verifying that this is true.
One time I dropped cocaine in the snow and I couldn't find it. I ended up snorting all of the snow. Then I was elected mayor, so I guess everything worked out.
But it's soooooo goooood!
I'm not gonna lie, this stuffs really good (I'm Canadian, you can trust me I'm on the Internet)
Ive had this so good especially with canadian maple syrup
It's actually quite good, think about it
I lived in Canada when I was younger, and unfortunately I never have done this :/
Please tell me that someone sees this as Canadian cocaine too! :D
I need maple syrup. For a second, I thought this was something else...
This is delicious! I'm from northern Michigan and I used to do this a lot. Real maple syrup is expensive though. But worth it !
I'm a Canadian and this is the first time I've ever heard of this. That doesn't sound appealing at all...
@Venom66, and so Venom66 was evicted and subsequently exiled to Texas.
@Hunted4blood, now now, I still at hockey and use plenty of syrup on stuff I just don't like the idea of eating snow.
@Venom66, the true question is: do you like poutine?
@Hunted4blood, no. I LOVE it!!
I guess you could say its "cool"
I immediately wanted to try this as soon as I finished reading it.
Its true, I do it all the time, its soo good
I don't think I've ever seem this before, I think I have to give up my title.... I am no longer a true Canadian
It's true. So very true.
These things are amazing but of you eat more than two you usually throw up
Guys guys, this is sooo good
It's in the Northern US as well.
@TheGuyWithAChespin, Vermont...aka south canada
Ooh man, Sif loves that stuff.
That doesn't sound like a bad idea.
In the thumbnails the girl from the last pic is eyeballing the maple syrup
Did anyone else notice the "capriciousguru" and "noneed4pantsthx" on top?
