Oh! So one fourth of july I did the dumbest thing with these. Me and a friend and his dad were setting off fireworks in the coldesac (mostly the dad) he ran out of stuff and went back inside. We stayed out and used smaller fire cracker type stuff until that ran out. We got bored and with nothing left I remembered he had blasting cap ammo. We dug them up from under his nerf gun box and poured out all the ammo dust into a roughly quarter sized pile in the street. We tried lighting it but the wind was just barely strong enough to ruin it so I got another "great idea" (aweful idea) and went into his open garage and grabbed a metal mallet. SMACK! It was so loud I turned away from it and felt chunks of little rocks possibly bounce off my face. I was told it "worked", my eyes were closed, i have no idea. It was hard to hear for a day, but a few months later I realized my ears were picking up the distant highway sound at different volumes. I can still replicate this, i got minor permanent

@Dephenistrator, we used to dump out fireworks into Lego things we would build just to see if it would explode. Not to mention the bottle rockets we shot at each other. You think you lost your hearing from that? I used to work on cars and their stereos...once had a system in mine that hit over 150 Db that I listened to on a regular basis. Don't speak about hearing loss when you heard a couple big fireworks go off

@Not him again, dude, holy shít. I smacked a pile of concentrated blasting cap ammo with a hammer at point blank, and since then my right ear doesn't hear as well as the other. Why do you have to make that complicated? You do know there is gunpowder in those and I don't even know how much we used we just piled a ton of caps we emptied out.

@Not him again, Noise induced hearing loss NIHL can be caused by a one-time exposure to an intense “impulse” sound, such as an explosion, or by continuous exposure to loud sounds over an extended period of time, such as noise generated in a woodworking shop. https://www.nidcd.nih.gov/health/noise-induced-hearing-loss

I hate these kind of memes. Just because you had this toy, doesn’t mean that your dad wasn’t an alcoholic that beat the crap out of your mother and you and your siblings, or that your dad didn’t die when you were young so that your mother had to work two jobs and you got left with your uncle who threatened to push you down stairs and make it look like an accident if you told on him for touching you in bad places
No orange tip for us! Realistic looking cap guns and not one of us got shot
