She likes it
Since when did she show emotion?
@YEETAL, if only we got this captain america. So much better than the one that got out emoted by a fvcking autistic cyborg.
@YEETAL, who cares, this is hot
@YEETAL, I honestly don’t think we saw the same movie, I specifically remember her laughing and joking around with Nick Fury
@supahotfiya, Funny Pics users like to say Brie Larson can't act. It's a euphemism for "she disagrees with my right-wing politics and is therefore the devil and I hate her."
@Neil Dylandy, Personally, I think she gave a good performance. It could’ve been a little better, but it wasn’t bad at all.
@Scott Sterling, I disagree. Her character was entirely one dimensional, without personality, without flaw or interesting quirk. The fact that she had a scene in which she relaxed doesn’t make her any more emotional than Bella from Twilight.
She’s an empty suit.
@I Are Lebo, That’s your opinion, and you’re entitled to it.
@I Are Lebo, she had more than one scene, her and Nick’s relationship was pretty good I could feel the chemistry between the characters and the same with her and the little girl. I think the reason she was “without personality” has more to do with her character...if you paid attention to the movie you would know that she was specifically trained to not show emotion. Yon-Rogg says it multiple times during the film. She’s legit an OP hero so her biggest flaw would be her humanity which is also something address in the film
@supahotfiya, I’m not sure that you and I both saw the same movie. I think you saw the movie you wanted Captain Marvel to be rather than the actual movie.
She’s an unemotional, uninteresting, one dimensional character devoid of flaw, bond, or ideal.
And also she got Iron Man killed because she had the stones during that battle and didn’t even try to use them, in spite of her being probably the only hero who could without massively injuring themselves.
@I Are Lebo, I actually went into the movie expecting to not like it because of all the unnecessary hate it got.
Once again her overall demeanor is unemotional because she is trained to be that way. And during like the first 5-10mins of the move she shows anger in spar fight with Yon-Rogg (emotion) her and Yon-Rogg shared a few jokes (emotion). And he tells her she needs to hide her emotion because that’s a “weakness”
You say she had no bonds but her and Yon-Rogg had a bond that was very apparent, her and Nick Fury had a very genuine bond, and her and Monica had a clear bond as well. So once again, no clue what movie you were watching.
And so far she has been somewhat one dimensional because she is so overpowered. The Russo bros already confirmed she was stronger than Thanos on her own but it would have been less meaningful for her to beat him. So the reason for Iron Man’s death is the Russo bro’s. The reason for his death was for something meaningful that ends his saga
@I Are Lebo, I’m kinda curious what you were expecting from a character that was military, then lost all memories of her past, then was trained by cree military to be an emotionless killing machine..(I.e. Ronan who was also “one dimensional”)...should she have been a bubbly valley girl or something? Like wtf bro
@supahotfiya, her emotions were extremely superficial and her actual acting was sub par. None of the connections have felt genuine or had any substance to them.
She isn’t one dimensional because she’s powerful, she’s one dimensional because she’s poorly written, poorly directed, and poorly acted.
As for what I was expecting, I was expecting some form of introspection upon learning that she’s been waging a war of genocide, or perhaps remorse or guilt for all the people she’s killed that she’s now learned were innocents. She has no humanity and that never changes. She experiences zero character growth.
On top of that, none of the other characters are better. Every male character in that movie was a goofy idiot, including Fury. The Captain Marvel movie ruined the character of Nick Fury, reducing his backstory to a B plot and a joke.
“Oh yeah, we finally find out how Fury lost his eye?”
“Yup. A cat scratched him.”
@supahotfiya, the idea that you can’t see the difference between a one dimensional character and a bubbly valley girl speaks loads about your attitudes towards women. There are hundreds of examples of badass women characters that are more fleshed out and interesting than Carol Danvers.
I would have paid extra to hear her say that to him. Just to fvck with him.
@timofborg, if she said this I to believe she would like to fvck with him. He was the only guy that could give her a good fisting.
She’s that one anime character that loves to be physically abused, thanos should run
@megamanx181x, or any masochist for that matter
@FullMetalAlcoholist, yes but it’s gotta be a woman ;)
@megamanx181x, Darkness is her name, well, the best one anyway
@megamanx181x, well with a description that vague I am too
@megamanx181x, Heheh... Lalatina.
No no, no no no, no no no no!
I get the sense she doesn't say 'daddy' often
That’s Cheryl/Carol Danvers for you
Wow I love Captain Marvel now.
