nowadays I see 5 year olds with like $500 iPhones
Is the joke that they're basically the same thing?
@BadassOverHere, It's sarcasm
@BadassOverHere, pretty much though id argue game boy was much more fun.
@BlazingBowman, yeah but you can download a Gameboy simulator on an iPad, so...
@BadassOverHere, last time I checked, not without jailbreaking
I'll fully admit I spent too much time on Gameboy with Pokemon. But by no means near the amount kids do on electronics today. That Gameboy was fun but limited and mobile. At least we still did sports at recess and did stuff besides games all day every day. Not to mention communicate mostly by face only. I used to ride my bike across the county in summer heat nearly everyday, play sports, and other crap that kept me active while enjoying video games. Comparing us to kids who are born with an Ipad in hand is like us saying kids from the 70s were like us 90s kids - they weren't by any means.
@ JCLEMZ, Whatever will get you to sleep at night buddy. ;)
@ JCLEMZ, not t mention the Gameboy didn't have a backlight, and that plug in light made so much glare you still couldn't see. So you just had to not play in the dark. (I never had an advance or advance sp.)
@ JCLEMZ, I don't know when the last time you've interacted with a little kid is, but kids still play outside. I my niece and nephew are both involved in sports and I hear neighbor kids playing outside all the time. But I don't see why playing outside is romanticized so much it kinda sucks
@Gay Rattlesnake , you obviously never played bike manhunt, or had a toy lightsaber jedi counsil, or had a water gun fight. Man i miss being little
@Notpongkong, I've done all of those things. Don't care for them.
@Gay Rattlesnake , it helps to have lived in a neighborhood with a minimum of 20 other kids to make the games more authentic, like 10 on 10 lightsaber duels. We even made up an rpg where we started out with little sticks and we could only "level up" by finding bigher sticks by going on "co-op quests" such big imaginations
@Notpongkong, that makes sense, I didn't really have that many friends so i only ever played games with like three other kids
@Gay Rattlesnake , congrats on being one out of five kids these days. I personally don't see too much of it anymore. So it's good to know im wrong about some people in this circumstance.
@Mister Riddle, I remember when they came out with those things. Had to adjust it enough to get the right amount of brightness without so much glare... I always thought it was stupid. I practically predicted LED screens at this point cause I always thought the screen needed light, not for light to be poured onto it.
@ JCLEMZ, but I play video games every nano second of the day. Until it's Funny Pics time. The con is everyone thinks I'm a kid because I like Nintendo and UNDERTALE. Srsly guys whats the problem with those games?
I wish I could have played my SP at fvckin Stonehenge
So you glad you grew up ignoring world famous monuments on amazing trips?
I was so happy the day my mom bought me an advanced SP. Before that I had a used gameboy color that was like ten years old. I was years behind on gameboy advanced games, but I made sure I caught up. We were inseparable.
I think I'd be better at Stonehenge than at home too
Had neither growing up
At least the other kid is outside.
Meh I'm sure you aren't terribly interested in how I grew up, read the stories around this comment if you want that.
I played with army men, super soakers, and dirt. I also had a tree fort and m-80s. Be jealous bjtches.
I grew up playing with worms and dirt, I think I may be too old for this app
@generic zombie, You should've just not played, that is literally no fun to anyone but maybe a zombie and you got your clothes dirty. Why?
So glad I never grew up
