@Ray213, who is the troll?
Great the tumblr users are at it again
@megamanx181x, all of the other reindeer were canceled for laughing and calling names…
“Oh, look at that. ‘Brave and Stunning’ takes the lead while ‘Birthing Person With Front Hole’ falls behind… and the board is lighting up! Bets are closed.”
She’s a guy so…

Babylon bee has literally one joke
@Theblackshawarma, no... They have quite a few, actually.
@Theblackshawarma, they have about 4 joke now actually 1.Apache Helicopter and all it’s variants such as this one. 2. Joe Biden is old and senile 3. The left is overly sensitive 4. Female liberal representative is dumb. That’s it though and they do tell them in the worse possible unfunny way.
@Theblackshawarma, Babylon Bee has a large assortment of jokes. They are funny, and unfortunately usually very hard to seperate from reality, because our world is really getting to this point.
@thatoneguymaybe, it’s all capitalizing on sensationalist topics from only one point of view, the kind of stuff pitting people against each other instead of encouraging us to come together and vote in a better government, not to mention it’s always either politically charged or a joke at the expense of a marginalized people group, which makes it not really all that funny.
@Theblackshawarma, They are typically about sensationalist topics yes, because it's something everyone will understand.
I'm all for bringing us together, and vote in a better government.
But one side has refused to come together, and we learned that our voting system could be hijacked and rendered useless, so you can understand why that utopian view isn't really seen by many.
They are typically politically charged, you are correct. But they don't make jokes at the expense of "marginalized" people.
Political jokes can be hilarious, if done right.
They actually write jokes that would normally be seen as far-fetched, but you either see them come true later, or they are actually something that would happen.
They make many other jokes, like their confessional joke for Popeyes.
You just see the sensationalized, and political ones, so you forget they makes lots of jokes.
Thats okay though, you have given me sufficient data to understand where you are coming from.
@thatoneguymaybe, to clarify one thing: when I say marginalized people group, this particular post comes to mind. The issue is that it takes a very real issue that has no clear answer and turns it into a buzz headline just like any other news source, which then gives regular people justification for being transphobic towards regular trans people who have nothing/want nothing to do with sports. It doesn’t sit right with me.
You have some reasonable points and I understand why this type of media entertains people. I also understand that both sides of the political spectrum are fundamentally broken. However, Babylon Bee very clearly picks a side and gets its content by jabbing at the other side. It perpetuates the problem. I’m not saying I’m not guilty of doing this myself. Literally everyone is. But I tend to be wary of businesses that profit off of it. At the very least, all I can do is roll my eyes.
@Theblackshawarma, There is a very clear answer.
This doesn't give justification for anyone to be "transphobic".
It does however show the exact problem we have in society today. It's got so much truth and reality in it, yet it's still a joke, because of Rudolph.
I think you may be overly sensitive about it.
Babylon Bee is obviously bias. But they are not "jabbing at the other side" as much as jabbing at ridiculous things in reality.
Is it their fault that the other side is constantly making up new things that can be made into jokes?
They were making a religion joke with the Popeye confessional, and religion is a very right leaning quality.
There are left-leaning publications that do what Babylon Bee does (although very poorly, the left can't meme or joke), but I don't see complaints about that.
Babylon Bee is good at making jokes from everyday issues. That's what makes good comedy, making light of tough things in life.
If you can't laugh at yourself, even in tough times..
@Theblackshawarma,... then how will you make it through life?
It's a very tough time for many people right now, especially for people who love this country. We have to laugh, or we will just be depressed, and useless.
I've been going through a lot personally, but I've taken the time to make jokes about the horrible situation, and it helps.
I love making jokes about stealing elections too, because at this point, it can be pretty funny.
People need to grow thicker skin, and show some maturity, we can't all be crybabies. Then nobody will be left to take care of the world.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, I'm simply speaking the truth. We have become a very babyish couple generations. We need backbones again.
@thatoneguymaybe, first off, let me say thank you for showing your humanity on the internet. It can be tough when debating such things to see the other person as a person, with real experiences, and not a cloud of data to express anger at.
Secondly, I do want to clear one thing up; I don’t actually feel particularly sensitive about this, as I am not trans, gay, or any kind of minority. I don’t really have a stake in that fight. I am, however, sharply critical of such things, and that’s all I meant to express.
Thirdly, there are issues on both sides. Though I tend to have liberal ideas, I am beyond frustrated with the DNC right now. They’re too consumed by infighting, censorship, corruption, and political positioning to make any real change. And that sucks. I hate seeing people in power take advantage of people I care about.
Lastly, being overly sensitive to things tends to be a generational/maturity thing. Whatever the younger generation is will kind of always be that until (1/2)
@thatoneguymaybe, (2/2) they grow up. I myself am almost 30 and for my own sake I have to push a lot of these things out of my life and focus on my inner peace. If I listened to everything the left says…….I would not be a happy person. I just can’t. But I’m hoping in the next 20-30 years there will be a generation of politicians who are able to undo some of the damage of today and the last 70 years. It’s a long shot, but I’m hoping.
Again, thank you for the conversation, you absolute chad. It’s hard for me to think and debate straight when I’m heated, and I’m thankful it didn’t get there. I absolutely can make a fool of myself in those circumstances.
@Theblackshawarma, I appreciate you keeping this respectful, and down to earth. It's not common.
Okay, I'll point out that it's a fine line between sharply critical, and sensitive.
There are absolutely issues on both sides, I'll never argue differently. We just see one side's issues more publicly, and way more commonly.
I am right there with you about the people in power taking advantage. I'll fight alongside you regardless of your views to take down those people.
It's true to an extent, however, in the last 30+ years people have become more sensitive, the Millennial, and partially Gen Z generations have shown to be extremely sensitive, and immature.
Some of us are more mature than others, but it's an astonishing amount that remain immature.
Thanks for keeping up in the conversation, it's not everyday people can keep it peaceful, and actual show intelligence instead of turning into a whiny karen. Don't we all make fools of ourselves in those circumstances.
Thanks my dude!
