Damn, if you hated someone, that was the perfect time to shoot them and blame corona for their death
@DrSin, was? Still is *pulls out pistol*
@DrSin, giving hospitals money for every corona death they count is extremely stupid. It inflates the death count and allows the media to continue falsely telling people that the virus worse than it really is.
@Natural Sarcasm , nooooo not BLUE!!!!
@seeUpee, don’t worry it’s just my finger gun
@Natural Sarcasm , lolololol... thought it was an uzi
@seeUpee, I can have both
@Natural Sarcasm , pulls out dick, umm do you know why this is in my jacket?
@DrSin, that depends, was that your dick or a dick you pulled out of your jacket?
@Natural Sarcasm , don’t worry about just touch it already damn it
@DrSin, I have a better idea! *pulls out finger guns*
@Natural Sarcasm , don’t finger my tips
@DrSin, don’t tell me what to do
@MMSieBreeze, don’t forget that he hospitals get even MORE money for putting corona people on ventilators, thus artificially increasing demand and reducing supply for the people that actually need one.
@Natural Sarcasm , you own a hospital?
@MMSieBreeze, there is no evidence that death counts are being inflated, and to insinuate that idea is to accuse health care workers who are risking their health of being greed driven. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that overall COVID deaths are being undercounted, eg in NYC and elsewhere, the number of at home and homeless deaths is dramatically higher, with no way to say if they were COVID related - a large number of this increase probably is
@WhoseLineIsItAnyway, so you have personal knowledge that doctors are putting pts on vents? Docs know that intubation and vent use is associated with about an 86% mortality rate - they are desperately trying to avoid it. And for those put on vents, they stay on for many days before dying or getting better - the cost of using those vents is not even closely matched by the increased reimbursement. So stfu
@occasionalmutant, get the health care virtue signaling di¢k out of your mouth. It's a fu¢king business. Hospitals are a goddamn business. They say more deaths = more money. Guess who has every incentive to count the deaths higher? Hospitals. Grow up
@occasionalmutant, there’s already been a report from like a month ago that a state gov’t was inflating the numbers when all the coroners noticed discrepancies with what they were reporting for covid deaths
@Iswearimfunny, the government reimbursement does not mean more deaths equals more money. It means the hospitals get to reduce their losses a little. If they get $39K for intubated PTO who dies, and it costs $$88K for care & tax, they're not incentivized. Imagine you had a car accident, and your deductible was $5,000. You would not be incentivized to have more accidents, even when insurance company is paying the remaining thousands on your bill. And I have intubated pts, I have many friends in health care working during pandemic, including a doc at Mt Sinai in NYC who was emotionally and physically devastated watching pts gasp for air, and slowly die in large numbers. Don't preach to me a$$hole. If you haven't been there, done that, then you can have your opinion, even if it is childish and uninformed.
@occasionalmutant, I really wasn’t trying to stir the pot, but yes, many doctors interviewed by independent media have brought this point up (along with the inflated death rate problem). Not *all* places are doing this, just to get that out there.
@occasionalmutant, also, finishing a point with “shut the fvck up” doesn’t make you more or less right. It just makes you more of an unpleasant person to try and talk with. Everything you said before that was respectful.
@WhoseLineIsItAnyway, well, I do apologize for being disrespectful. However, he did tell me to get the health care virtue dick out of my mouth, which doesn't meet any standard of civility. And I get passionate when I see colleagues treating patients, watching pts die in high numbers, themselves get sick and die, and in at least one case commit suicide, only to hear someone spread a tumor that they are doing this for money. Opinions that cause harm should not be respected.
@occasionalmutant, I totally get it, and it can be a hard thing to discuss without getting emotional. There are people dying, after all. Anecdotes can be even more powerful when you yourself are witnessing them. I think the biggest travesty of all this is the majority of people not being aware of the nursing home deaths, particularly in New York and Michigan. The policies instituted there made those buildings absolute death traps.
Daily wire....they tend to spout conspiracies. Do be careful
@Cloverleaf, yeah but they can’t print something that’s factually false. There’s probably a couple guys that got shot and their charts got fudged. They couldn’t keep up with autopsies so they just got thrown in the to do pile
@BigJohnson86, I know of one case that was counted as positive, becasue the autopsy said he had the virus, when the dude died with a blood alcohol level of .55
@NameyMcNameFace, what people do forget is that multiple things can be listed as cause of death. Now in that example, it was likely insane drinking. Plus if the virus can survive in that environment of alcohol it should be noted and studied a bit, cause last I checked alcohol was able to eliminate the virus.
As for the gunshot wound counts, the question is how widespread it is.
@BigJohnson86, that’s the likely scenario, but something to bear in mind, there really isn’t a law in place that forces them to be truthful. I mean consider how many times you’ve seen or heard false narrative or information on a main stream site. Conspiracy theories abound, and you have to sift. This is also a loaded headline, considering it doesn’t give more details than ‘its happened’. They want views and traffic, so they pander. And looking through daily wire’s history has found a bunch of false info.
@Cloverleaf, yes there is. It’s called libel laws. If they print something they know to be false the hospitals could sue them out of business. Unless it’s framed specifically as an opinion. This isn’t shaped as opinion it’s a statement of fact that would damage the hospitals. If they didn’t have proof to back it up they would lose badly
@NameyMcNameFace, if a .55 bac is all it takes to kill you then your bloodline doesn’t deserve to continue. I’ve cleared .6 before and not even had to go to the hospital. Also this is why you shouldn’t teach sailors how to determine bac then tell them what should kill them. We will test it
@BigJohnson86, it also depends on other factors such as weight, how long you been drinking (lightweight), medication etc. etc.
@NameyMcNameFace, yeah one of the guys built an xcel sheet that we updated every hour to tell us our bac based on all that. One guy managed .7 before we had to put him facedown in a bathtub cuz he wouldn’t stop puking. Our chief wasn’t even mad on Monday. He just wanted the sheet
@BigJohnson86, damn man. That must have hurt the next day.
@BigJohnson86, and libel laws don’t mean much if they can just throw money at lawyers to fight them, cause the technicality you pointed out would very much save their ass in such a suit. Point is, Daily Wire is a regular source of general falsity, and heavily leans into right wing propaganda.
Shot them back!
@megamanx181x, i've been shoot!
