I saw and interview with the ref during this game, and he said that the reason he gave the guy a yellow card and not a red is because he never even saw the play happen.
@The Handlebar , I guess not :/
@Flameo Hotman, No video replay?
@Flameo Hotman, your username gets all the up votes
@The Handlebar , Nope. Football/soccer is stupid like that, the ref only goes by what he personally sees. As supposed to rugby where the refs work as a team and possible foul play can be investigated at any time.
@Captain Britain, The More You Know 💫
@Captain Britain, they don't don't review because it slows the pace of the game and because they don't stop the clock until the of the half. The the ref does talk to the lines men through little head sets and ask what they saw.
@Captain Britain, similar stuff in footy too, Team of refs and whatnot. Pls sir
@Sniper of Puns, "as supposed" 😂👌👌💯
First legit football injury I've seen
@Joishw, then you don't watch much football since this was back in 2010
Then he proceeds to lay there for 30 min clutching his ankle.
This hurts a lot, even when someone steps on your foot. It looks like a person a bitch but imagine 130 to 200 pounds divided amongst about 3 prongs on your foot, or chest.
Now *that* is a reason to be writhing on the field for
I like the way he jumped as if he was bracing for impact
That's fair enough. I'm pretty sure the on-pitch can overrule the others though...
Ahh good ol' World Cup where dreams come true
I know people think soccer/football is a pussy sport in the U.S., but people do genuinely get hurt.
What the hell was that guy doing? Did he actually think that jumpkick would hit the ball?
@discount clown shop, yeah he thought it would hit the ball but he aimed a bit high and hit his chest
@Sassy Sheep, I find that really hard to believe honestly. I mean I can hardly kick a ball on the ground, let alone some crazy ass fvckin jumpkick
For once not faking it.
I think I'm laughing a bit harder at this than I should....
