I'm sorry for any FP users out there (And everyone in general) that works in retail
@bigMoory, literally had a customer at my last job once (not gonna name it lets call it WaySub) who tried to return a sandwich because she took a bite and didn't get enough meat. Another guy tried to get a refund but said he lost the receipt and his dog ate the sandwich.
@A Math Dealer, the crap people try to get away with huh?
@bigMoory, the worst part is when they actually do
@A Math Dealer, usually the managers just wanting them to f**k off ASAP yeno
@A Math Dealer, back in my restaurant days, Guy would order a pizza with beef but not sausage. Always claimed we made it wrong to get a refund. One time I made it myself, and when he called I told him to never order again. He threatened to come fight me. Lol.
@bigMoory, what about us food and bev people
@A Math Dealer, I worked in the kitchen of a convenience store and we would make burritos and enchiladas and stuff. We sold enchiladas 3 to a plate. We would get people return with 2 and a half of the enchiladas eaten, saying they want a refund cause it was too dry. Made me want to kill them.
@Mattizzle9, seriously though it takes me like 2 bites to know if something is bad. One to realize it tastes weird and one more to make sure it wasn't just me. At least they actually had something left unlike some.
@A Math Dealer, same. Some people are just animals. But now I'm in retail and that's a whole nother monster.
@Mattizzle9, me too actually. At least there's no food involved.
@A Math Dealer, true. And as a stocker, I don't deal with customers as much. Only when they need help, or I have to backup on register. Better than serving food
Just like the other comments, can confirm customers are the fvcking worst. Ppl really are bastard covered bastards.
@nepheal, with bastard filling?
@A Math Dealer, AND glazed with bastard
@nepheal, scrubs reference?
I use to manage a game stop , FUUUUUUUUUCK CUSTOMERS , 10 years ago, still hate em
I feel like the world would be a nicer place if everyone had to work one holiday season in retail...
Dad jokes gone too far
@PBnJ, just far enough.
I find it funny how the me from 6 years ago. Would have the utmost sympathy for any employee. That has to deal with nasty customers. But after my father retired and I now run his store. I have no sympathy for anyone. It's one thing dealing with a nasty customer. It's another thing having an employee be nasty to people. I had this one employee who would actively hide stuff in my store. So that customers can't buy it so he can buy it. And tell customers over the phone that items that are there. Are not there. The true life lesson is just don't be a dick.
@Lord Palpatine, don't get me wrong I've had bad customers. I had a woman go to the back of my store. Take all the movies off the shelf. Mix them up and leave them on the floor. Now we have these movies categorized genre. And in alphabetical order... so that's where half of my day went. Or the time this guy got mad at me. Because I didn't know what album This Is Techno song he likes is in.... No he didn't know the name of the album, song or even know what the song sounded like. But he wanted that one song.
@Lord Palpatine, for anyone wondering. My store sells books, movies, music and games that typically come from Asia as a whole. When my dad ran the store we just sold mainly stuff from China. Which is where he is from. I opened it up to be more Asia as whole.
Well the majority of retail employees I see are way worse than the majority of consumers I see, it’s just that when you work in retail you have to deal with so many people so of course a lot of them are gonna be complete assholes. Yeah I’m advocating for the devil, what of it? You’ve seen my username.
I work at Arbys as a cashier and I try my very hardest to treat everyone equally, and I try to come at everyone with a good nature will.
I am nice even when someone yells at me, mainly because negativity just makes more.
Being mad at someone who is being a jerk wont make anything better. I have only have an idea of what other people go through.
I'm nice cause maybe they just need that type of person atm in their lives. My life could be 100000x better than that person.
At least the people around me can appreciate how much of a wad the customer is, and will always come to my defense if things ever esculate.
Fast food customers may be bad, but the employees are worse. Because they’re usually teenagers. Or adults who spend their whole day with teenagers and have a similar maturity level.
I asked for a milkshake, why are no titties bouncing?
I work as a trainer for a call center with multiple lines of business. On one contract I'll never understand why so many people complain about getting free things....
... so why is this one pink?
