Is it bad that everytime I see adorable breeds like this, I feel so sad for the animal? Breeds that are made specifically for human amusement, to look as 'cute' as possible, often means genetic disadvantages. Shorter lifespan, diseases, and don't get me started on inbreeding. *sigh*

@appaddict, All dog breeds are bred for human purposes. In fact, all domesticated animals are bred for our purposes. There really isn't anything special about cute dog breeds.

@appaddict, Like German shepherds. They're all cute and pretty but I hear they have lots of health complications, more than other dogs.

@CriTiKa1, I don't think of a dog as an entertainer for our amusement I think of him/her as a part of the family. If the dog doesn't do anything that entertains me I'm not gonna sell the dog and get a new one. Cruel minds out there man

@Sir Unimpressive, I don't know if mine was special or not, but my German Shepherd lived to 15 and didn't have any real problems till he was 13. Was always very hyper and energetic till the day he died.

@Sir Unimpressive, that's from careless breeding. The hip problems have decreased dramatically within the last 10 years(so I've heard can't confirm that to be fair). Where these dogs get their issues is that it's forced rapid micro to macro evolution through human controlled factors so there is no way for nature to selectively filter the bad crap out.

@Stroyer, what I found was just photos with blond women. So, yea, feel sick. It's technically illegal, though, which makes me feel better (the petition was claiming the government was "fetish shaming" people by making it illegal. It is just gross and ridiculous.)

@Stroyer, oh same here. It's like if pedophiles or rapists said the government was just "fetish shaming" them for arresting them. Most fetishes are fine, but as soon as someone starts harming another living being (that can't or didn't consent to it), they're a monster, in my opinion.
