So we all agree that parades are stupid and that when you participate in one at 9 and you dont get the candy you were promised and then you get creamed at your little league soccer game and the day is just ruined so you just use that one bad incident to color all parades as terrible? Good!
@ptitty1231, wouldn't have happened if you were living with your uncle
@ptitty1231, you okay bud?
@EdgierThe joker, yea, I just dont like parades
@ptitty1231, it’s okay they can’t hurt you anymore, it’s not your fault
@EdgierThe joker, *sniff* WHY DIDN'T I GET THE CANDY?!
@ptitty1231, it’s not your fault, I’m so sorry they failed you
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, hey, new profile pic! Cute doggo
@Jipz, thank you! Decided to change it back to go with my name
Remember when pride was a sin, something you were warned about indulging in? Moreover, if you're gonna be proud be proud of an accomplishment or something, not who you prefer to get your nooky from.
I get that the origins of gay...then later lgbtq....pride movements was as a response to evangelicals and dogmatics who thought they should be ashamed of it, but there is a very blatant line between not being ashamed, and being indulgently prideful
@The Necromancer, the issue is people in the lgbtq community are still very much shamed for being who they are, the pride parade is nice because its a place for members to gather and feel safe and have fun in a world that still rejects them.
@theLOVEseat, the world doesn’t reject them, what are you, gay?
@Snarfel Burger, yeah?
@theLOVEseat, but they really aren't though. The ones who are are loudmouths that complain about the most minuscule of inequalities.
For example, I actually had this discussion today. Why is it such a big deal with the bathroom situation when "family bathrooms" have been a thing for many years?
I support that some people are different, but there isn't a need to create a hostile environment because they aren't treated as an everyday person. I in no way try to ostracize those different from myself, but I do believe that many who are go way overboard with expectations
@Not him again, because they aren’t treated as an everyday person is 100% a good reason to create a hostile environment for people that treat them that way.
Well it’s technically correct
@megamanx181x, idk, I'm with a straight guy who makes me cum, a lot.
@ TouchMyCatEars, but does he go to straight pride parades? That’s the keyword there cause those guys are just insecure of how much ass gay men get
Y’all realize that the whole point of the straight pride parade was to point out the hypocrisy of the lgbt community right? The lgbt’s even protested by handing out flyers during it that said “straight sex is rape” no I’m not making it up, look for Mr. Obvious on YouTube (where I heard of this.)
@Toxia, straight pride was meant to be ironic. The problem is that in their attempt at irony they missed the whole point of "pride." Typically for minorities, having pride means standing against some kind of oppression. Sure, you can argue that minorities are less oppressed today than they were before, but just because laws are made to ensure one is treated equally legally, it does not mean one is treated equally socially. Straight pride was not seen negatively because "it's not okay to be straight" but because its irony undermines the struggle gay people have faced and in some cases continue to face. The flyers were more than likely made by some anti-left troll in order to cash in on the anti-sjw climate we live in and cause outrage among anti-sjw's. And it worked according to Mr Obvious's comment section.
And the incels are in the corner still whinging
