I believe it was lightning bolt, good sir
@tampon thief, if they are going to meme they better make it historically accurate.
@tampon thief, in dnd lightning bolt is a third level spell, meaning you are fúckèd if you need to use it two or three times
@snusnuman, fire bolt is a cantrip which is all you can use when you run out of spell slots
@devalation, exactly. Thats why I use fire bolt a lot because of it.
@tampon thief, ”I’m out of mana!!”
To explain, in D&D, wizards get all the good spells, but to balance it a bit, they can't cast so many spells per day as other casters. When they used up all their spell slots, pretty much all they could do was bonk someone on the head with a staff. Wizards also have very few hit points tho so this was a bad idea. To balance that spell casters now have 'cantrips'. Cantrips are spells so basic, they don't have a spell slot, fire bolt is one of those. It may not call meteors down from space or anything but firebolt will definitely ruin your perfectly groomed evil moustache.
I use Magic Missile!
Why are you casting Magic Missile? They're are no creatures to attack.
I'm attacking the darkness!
-The best Easter egg in video game history-
@Funny Pics Janitor, ahh because magic missile always hits
@Funny Pics Janitor, Did you play Summoner? I thought I was the only person in history that bought, played, and beat that game.
@onetoendall, I did. Man was that a long time ago.
@Funny Pics Janitor, For real. I was like 12. Absolutely loved every second of that game. Such a good story and unique gameplay for it's time. Been thinking about replaying it lately. Maybe when I build a new rig.
@Funny Pics Janitor, Ok, but if there are any girls there I want to do them!
D&D is amazing but I gotta say, I have a feeling that in newer versions they'll revamp spell slots to be more akin to mana. Like instead of X amount of slots per day according to spells slots and then only cantrips it can be X amount of mana (mana reserves replenish fully after long rest, rare one day use elixirs, or small amounts from short rest, common elixirs, meditation/battle spells, etc) and you can only do the certain tier spells according to your level whereas cantrips are practically nothing in terms of mana. That way even during a long fight they can "build up" mana for a few turns meditating and churn out a practical spell to win the fight, instead of just being a cantrip turret, especially when the party hasn't had time for a long rest in a while. Idk, just my two cents.
He probably just ran out of Mana or some shjt
