@new username 1, it's the need to have the best stuff and to prove that you can do the hardest parts of the game. I've read many reddit posts about people having 1000s of hours in this game just hoping for RNGesus to give them that last piece of loot they want. It's really addictive.
@The guy with the gun, hunter for life!
@The guy with the gun,
@The guy with the gun, Destiny rocks. Yes, it is repetitive, but it has its moments.
@The guy with the gun, i haven't in a while though

Why are so many people playing Destiny?
I don't get the appeal. Sure, it's got good graphics, but it's even more repetitive than Call of Duty. Granted, I don't really get the appeal of CoD, either.
@I Are Lebo, you have a point. Destiny does get repetitive, but in my opinion, it's a great game overall. Better than most repetitive games like COD and many others.
@I Are Lebo, it is indeed repetitive. But the game is good at making you set goals. You think, if I grind enough, I can get this piece of loot. Then once you get that, you are leveled high enough to get a better piece of loot and so on. It's a vicious cycle that keeps players coming back. I play a ton of it, but I recognize that it has a poor storyline and repetitive gameplay. But I can't stop playing.
@MandaloreTheUltimate, so it's only appeal is addictiveness?
@I Are Lebo, basically. That and the raid. I'm trying my first raid today. Been working on getting people together for weeks now. I now have 6 people, three of whom I've never met, getting together to take down a monstrous boss
@I Are Lebo, i liked Destiny because it felt and played good and to be honest the soundtrack is what motivated me to replay 3 missions over and over again. The soundtrack is phenomenal and executed perfectly. Too bad 1) there was no story 2) the PvP lacked severely, even though it was very fun (this was what I was more excited for since I never had an xbox and I loved Halo's MP) 3) no incentive to keep playing after you beat the game, even after this latest DLC came out, I found it boring.
@MandaloreTheUltimate, I couldn't agree more. Well put argument
@I Are Lebo, and the graphics
@I Are Lebo, exactly
@The guy with the gun, one of the most civil discussions of anything on the internet ever. No one freaked out. My respect for humanity has increased slightly.
@MandaloreTheUltimate, I think it's because I asked for opinions without actually posting my own. I dunno...
@MandaloreTheUltimate, lol "slightly"😂
@I Are Lebo, Destiny is fun in a group. Good for killing time or relieving stress. But I haven't played it months, because it gets boring after awhile. I'm hooked on Dragon Age Inquisition, instead.
@SimonPetrikov, I actually got bored very quickly with Dragon Age Inquisition. The same thing happened with Dragon Age Origins. I just wasn't given enough reason to care about any of the characters, my own included. It was a chore to play, and if, after two hours, I've yet to have any fun, I'll stop playing.
@I Are Lebo, I don't care if I can have 60 hours of fun, if it requires getting through five hours of boredom, I'm not getting to the fun.
@I Are Lebo, Yeah, I didn't get into Origins as much as I did Mass Effect. In fact, I can't say I like any of the Dragon Age games above maybe an 8/10. The first one felt clunky, biased towards PC players (I'm on PS3), had characters of varying quality, and had severely unbalanced level layouts. Awakening was a waste of time, so I'm not even getting into that. Dragon Age II was more fun gameplay-wise, and had better-developed characters, but was also horribly short, repetitive, and lacked significance (I had no problem restarting a million times). DA Inquisition tried to fix the problems of both, and did so with relative success, but they dumbed down the companion tactics - which nobody had any complaints about for the first 2 games - for no apparent reason. It's my only big complaint, but for me, it's like removing jumping from a Mario game - it's so integral to the game that without it, it's just not the same game.
@SimonPetrikov, I like Mass Effect, but I can't play it right now because my brother is hogging the games, playing multiplayer. 😔
@The guy with the gun, also if you're into stuff like destiny warframe is a ton of fun and free (it's repetitive too though)
@I Are Lebo, Personally it is to play with friends in raids and things and just have fun.
Once again if anyone has Destiny for ps3, my psn is Dragonborn_Sif
Titans all the way!! Any ps4 players???
@PartyFork, ps4 player with two titans and a warlock
@Fire Eagle333, nniioice!! I had two titans and a hunter but just made a warlock to get platinum trophy hehe
@PartyFork, I like your style
S super6 8 lvl 31 huntard. Xbone AND 360
I do! SSL shadow knights
The gameplay for titanfall was very fluid with character movement, shooting, wall climbing. I like it a lot. Then I wanted a shooter that was more campaign geared so I could run around shooting monsters. Destiny is not that fluid, but it's close, and the closest example of that fluidity on the Xbox one atm. So I'm content.
@BarneySexOffender, Campaign is kind of boring, though.
Well even if your opinions are contrary to my own, I don't fault you for that. To each their own. It's understandable if the game holds no appeal for you. Now if that was the case with Skyrim, then we might have a problem. Haha
@MandaloreTheUltimate, Dangit. Meant to reply.
