We do have a culture. It's called Freedom.
@SenorWaffleKnight, *Rides into the sunset riding giant eagle with American flag in hand with fireworks lighting up the sky
@SenorWaffleKnight, *instead of riding in on an eagle, i just walk in with a double bacon cheeseburger*
@SenorWaffleKnight, land of the free, home of the 440cu engine!
@SenorWaffleKnight, best culture there is
@SenorWaffleKnight, and public hospitals
@SenorWaffleKnight, jeans, hamburgers, movies, planes, cars, cowboys (as a Brit, this is really cool) frat life, pizza, tacos (I know they're Mexican, but at least here they're more associated with America)
@GreenF7, *Sheds single manly tear*
@SenorWaffleKnight, actually New Zealand is the freest country. Apparently.
@Bradolf Pittler, based on that one meme you saw a year ago.
@Bradolf Pittler, I know man but I can at least pretend. U.S started freedom before it was cool.
@GreenF7, Somebody photoshop this guy's comment NOW!
@SenorWaffleKnight, 69th up vote
@SenorWaffleKnight, freedom to have electricity cuts, food banks and shoot unarmed black men. Congratulations
@GreenF7, *as a public highschool chior sings America the beautiful and the Star spangled banner simultaneously as the army, navy, and marines all give a 21 gun salute and the air force flies over head*
@SenorWaffleKnight, would you call Obama spying on everything you do freedom?
Our culture is every culture. Melting pot baby.
@Sir Spiffy, I'm a Filipino-German-Spanish-Danish-American. That's not as likely in other countries.
@Sir Spiffy, We just have the uncultured morons on tumblr who think it's the same for everyone else.
It involves guns and large-breasted women. And eagles...
@Pool boy till I die, and high fructose corn syrup
@Pool boy till I die, and walmart, high obesity, low literacy, the largest prison population of the world, and even though bieber is Canadian we created him
@Pool boy till I die, sports, don't forget sports
@HSA, "low literacy" kekekekekek
@HSA, this man was down voted but it's not like he was lying.
@HSA, n'aw look at how many butthurt Americans can't handle your facts
@HSA, duno why you got down voted. These are all true things... Blind nationalism will be our downfall. Or let's say hubris ;) same as the Romans
@Jek Porkins, nothing he listed has to do with "blind nationalism",bro. All he listed were stereotypes, a supermarket chain, and a Canadian singer.
@jklyt1, our obesity, literacy, and incarceration rates aren't stereotypes they're facts
@HSA, *looks down* well I'm not obese, *looks around* well this isn't a prison, *looks at phone* now if only I could read all of this.
@jklyt1, so jklyt is representative of every single American, *got it
@HSA, representative of most, I guarantee it. I and almost everyone I know relate directly to what he said. Also, these are almost ALL the major problems you can list about this country. A lot of people tend to ignore the good things just so they can do some more bashing. I promise you can find just as many, if not more, major issues with every other nation on this planet.
@jklyt1, I wish I could give you more upvotes.
@Uncle Nipple, and a few others wish they could give me more downvotes haha glad to know not everyone in this discussion hates me for simply saying something though
False. America has a mix of cultures, which is what makes it unique. What other country would have as much of a variety of cultures as America?
@Loki Stark, lots of countries have diverse cultures. In the European Union a citizen of an EU country can freely travel to others, so the whole of Europe is a mix of different cultures from Britain to Estonia or Croatia. And there are immigrant from non EU areas like the British commonwealth or French colonies. Almost all countries in the west are a late mix of nations, not really unique. America does have a great culture and many people love it but I am needlessly pedantic and very bored so... :)
@Tom Bombadil, ya but even then most of Europe is still just Europeans, that's not really that diverse.
@jklyt1, did you just.. I think you need to elaborate what you just said because that's like saying most of North America is still just North Americans.
@Srircha, eh but North America isn't a race and there isn't really a "North American culture" it is just a mix of all cultures, no other way really to explain it.
@jklyt1, I don't see why you are bringing in race, I thought were talking about culture, you had said Europe wasn't diverse, I'd beg to differ, I'd almost compare it to the US. Different parts have different customs.
@jklyt1, are you retarded? Swedes Fins Dutch Danes Italians Brits Poles Russians Belgians Ukrainians the list goes on. That's like calling Mexicans, Brazilians and Argentinians the same thing and label them 'just Americans' because they are on the Continent of America.
@Jek Porkins, there is no "Continent of America" one of those nationalities is in North America and the other two South America. Their also mostly comprised of people who are mixed latin and native american descent. Their cultures aee different but also share a lot of similarities. Did you just wake up pissed off this morning?
@Tom Bombadil, I was going to be mad at you but I can't stay mad at Tom Bombadil. Especially if I want to survive an encounter with the barrow white.
*cough *cough Native American culture flourished for thousands of years prior to modern culture *cough *cough *cough
I think it's funny that the majority of Americans seem to be so easily offended (hence the low raiting of the picture) but love to make fun of others. Come on guys, it's a joke.
@The blind Ghost, yeah, I was born here in the US and I myself feel there isn't a culture and laughed at this. Now that being said there isn't just one culture here because everyone comes from different places. Is just a mix of cultures everywhere.
@Srircha, as time passes cultures will be lost and eventually we will only have 1 culture in the world.
@Implicit88, Ya Asian culture!
@Implicit88, that's assuming that the world can come together peacefully. I wouldn't expect that to happen anytime soon.
@jklyt1, not necessarily.... the internet will help in meshing cultures even when countries may not be found of one another. It will just take longer.
I thought we were just a big world Texas...
I 100% accept this will get downvoted for exactly the reason I'm giving this comment, but why are Americans so pathetically butthurt about jokes? Are you seriously so blindly nationalistic that you can't even take ONE joke about your country while you give plenty to places like the UK and we don't have a hissy fit like you guys do...
@The Antagonist, yes most are. It's sad. I love jokes about America. Sure I love my country but if you can't laugh at the idiocies then you shouldn't laugh at jokes about other countries. like how we can't figure out why everyone is coming to this country when our politicians and media heads shout over and over how this is the greatest country on earth and the best place to live Lolz
@The Antagonist, sounds like you're throwing right now
@Jek Porkins, oh hey thanks for going through and downvoting ALL of my comments on this picture.
@The Antagonist, Meh I just find it annoying when jokes become "the truth" to some people and become real assholes about it. I think it's just theirs a mixture of genuine hate and jokey stereotypes that me as an American receives all the time online. I believe instinctively we all get defensive. Personally I agree with you and I laughed but, then again your being kinda jerkish now claiming "all americans get butthurt" maybe thats not the intention but still, people get offended and upset i guess. im sorry im rambling, basically yeah i agree with you, somewhat, maybe, where am i going with this?
America made jazz, what now?
@Debearus, don't for get the blues, which spawned rock n roll and R&B, which then spawned modern R&B, rock, and hip hop. WE ARE MUSIC!
@jklyt1, thanks to the slaves... So yah America 'created' these things through the enslavement of Africans. Not something to be truly proud of
@Jek Porkins, America "created these things" through white and black artists working together in the 50s and 60s. These genres were a product of racial integration, without them we may never have gotten to where we are today. But I guess if you want to view them as a product of racism and slavery then don't listen to them.
Just so you know, the entire world feeds off America's culture. Some people may not even understand English, but American music is still their favorite.
@Mack L Moore, How do you even know this? Did you take a survey from non English speaking people? I bet you didn't!
Oh please we have LA, New York City, Austin, Seattle, and many major culture centers. We breed culture.
@jklyt1, Don't forget San Francisco! The gay capital! I love going there!
@Your Grandmas Tits, I was gonna put San Fran but decided not to since I already had one California city hahaha. I'm not really into the whole LGBT scene (even though I am bi) but I want to visit there so bad just cause it seems like such a dope place!
@jklyt1, it's full of alot of "free spirited" people and artists and such! Once I was at peir 39 and a guy was playing saxophone then the two random strangers started dancing badly but then more and more people joined in. It was great!
@jklyt1, its only worth being there if you have a bicycle, I drove clutch there just a month ago... and the city sucks as far as driving goes, terrible drivers, and the street layout is terrible. But aside from driving, honestly I thought it was just a sunnier, version of Seattle...
@Your Grandmas Tits, lol who downvoted me for saying good things about San Francisco?
Your going to need a burn heal for that one
Does being overly PC count?
@Kangaroo Jacked, if you live in the northern states then yes.
Someone's still bitter after the Revolutionary War
@SenorWaffleKnight ... Let's play spot the American
We had culture
@Your Host, *have
