@Alby, it's certainly silly, and indeed can be very childish, but I don't know, the silly childishness was always just a kinda silly childishness that made me laugh or at least smile. And it can be surprisingly smart at times. The exact moment that sold me on the show was right when the very first song started happening and I muttered under my breath "oh god, no" and no sooner than I said that, Twi said "tell me she's not..." with the exact same tone and I just fell in love with the show then and there.

@LovingCannibal, Alright here we go. For one, pokemon was geared to a younger audience, unlike Mlp, it is geared to little girls. What's the real difference you might ask? Pokemon, Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, hell even Powerpuff Girls, we all grew up watching that stuff. Mlp on the other hand was first introduced in 1983 as plastic ponies for little girls. It was not until 2010 when Friendship is magic came out that it gained popularity, hence grown men. We are now grown ups now. No more child's play. Would I re-watch the cartoons named above? Hell yes I would, because I grew up with them. It has memories. Not this mlp bs. Only been going strong for like 4 years. Sorry for long post and yes I wikied/googled.

@LovingCannibal, lol no I don't watch the remakes. I was talking about the old pokemon. Also I did not vote on this pic, nor any mlp pic. If you wana watch it, go ahead. Just don't try and compare it to any cartoon made for adults/younger kids of both genders to make yourself feel better about watching it. If you're having to do that, then you need to re think about it.

@YourToothlessWonder, A lot of Disney movies are geared towards girls, and I like those. And the one who made MLP made a lot of childhood shoes like Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends and The Powder Puff Girls. She helped with movies like The Iron Giant, my all time favorite childhood movie. I'm not a grown man, I'm only 16, but it gives me a sense of nostalgia when the creator of some of my favorite older shows, creates a new one in almost the same style. You haven't watched the show either, if you can get past the title and opening sequence, MLP can bring just as much enjoyment to boys. It's been called a family show... I'm pretty sure their are males in almost every family

@YourToothlessWonder, Cartoon is a cartoon. As for trying to make myself feel better I'm not. Just saying a cartoon is a cartoon. Watch it don't watch it. Love it or hate it. The hate on ponies could be the intensely horrible fan base or just people wanting to pick on a show and fans. If I want to watch a show about colorful candy ponies while eating coco puffs then goddammit I shall.

@Alby, I 100% agree. And to all the bronies and pegasisters out there that are gonna assume that I have never watched the show or that I am hating just to hate, I've seen the first four seasons with my little sister. LITTLE SISTER. An 8 year old girl. She is the target audience. If it were geared to males or even older people in general, they wouldn't use such simple plotlines and a pink/purple girly color scheme. Sure, the songs are catchy. Sure, it's "relatable" in whatever sense. I can honestly say I don't enjoy watching a child's show. Tu may justify this as being just another cartoon. There are plenty of cartoons targeted to your own age. If I were 7, a lot of people would tell me not to watch the boondocks or attack on titan because it isn't appropriate for my age.(random example I guess) I'm having trouble seeing the appeal. I wouldn't say I hate bronies for liking a show. One of my closest friends is a brony and I don't like her any less. I just think its not for our age group.
-
@Alby, I'm not a brony, but I think it's really stupid that people annoy and bother people because they are. I play on brony TF2 servers to show support. (Plus they're fun) one time I went on a GMod server called Death legends one time that I really like. But then I realized that bronies are banned for life. I then left. I still go occasionally, but it's difficult to like the owner now. Sorry for the long post, but those are my thoughts.

@Alby, Bronies need to just stop using the whole "no target audience" bs to defend themselves. The main characters are girls, the color pallette is pretty girly, and the songs can't be considered masculine, catchy or not. The show is obviously for little girls, and this whole load is just a trend that will die soon enough. The whole brony thing started when people on 4chan were like "lol look i watch mlp XD" and the internet took its course, making the series blow up with excitement. Like I've said before, people want to be cool so they go all out brony with profile pics, merch, and just all out bragging. Sorry if you may actually like it, which is likely bs, but this is just my opinion that everyone is entitled to.

@Alby, the first couple of episodes in the first season were childish, heck, maybe even the entire first season, but as it got further down the line, the creators noticed that the fans were mostly males ( like myself ) and started to change the show, especially the finales, such as season four, it involves a giant magic battle with a soul sucking centaur from Tartarus, but the ending was a bit cheesy, in the end giving them a castle that looks like a toy, but it does have lessons that adults can learn from, but like you said, to each their own

Omfg just stfu everyone this is why those pictures get so many downvote, just stfu. If someone downvotes because its mlp, fine! Who cares? They just dont like it. You dont have to explain why you love mlp or why people love it, just stfu. You know its not working. Just let it flow. Im sorry, but dont post anything in the comments if you enjoy mlp and want to defend the show (no offence). No matter what you write, IT WON'T DO SH! T. It will just anger those people that hate these pics. Allright. Have a good day.

Dear StuckPixel admins/mods/whoever picks these: thanks for including the occasional MLP pic. I've always enjoyed this app, and it's great to sometimes see an image featured that comes from a show my family and I love. It usually ends up getting group messaged to them. And I know you can't respond, so I'll complete your side of the bro-hoof: /)*(\
This picture should prepare it's butthole
