I never nicknamed my Pokemon, idk why it just felt weird
@dinodave, Because their default names are great.
@dinodave, but you have to name your rival Asshat
@dinodave, same here
@Sexy Homunculus, I always named my rival after my brother
@dinodave, I never named them until I played a Nuzlocke. Now I always do, I think it kinda makes it more fun, because you do actually get more attached to the little guys and it's always sad to seem them go. Never thought I would be sad to see a raticate die until poor Mickey Jr. took a bullsh*t crit
@dinodave, if you name them you get attached. If you get attached you might consider not pitting them against one another in a quasi-genocide of any subservient non-human species
@dinodave, you must not have trained an army of 6 of the same Pokémon. Nicknames are almost necessity in that scenario
@dinodave, when I first played diamond and pearl I named Palkia "poop". I hate the 11 year old me
@dinodave, in emerald I nicknamed my poochyena "doggo" and my starter treeko, geeko just for the fun of it. Other than that, I wouldn't dare to nickname them
Mr. Snugglekins used Psychich Death Blast. It was super effective, Weedle went *pop*.
I name my legendaries after diglet. All of them.
Truly the manliest of names
@eleven, plus, it tricks your opponent into thinking they will be facing something simple.
The day that inspired the need of humanities terrible reminder.
I thought it was funnier that mewtwo was battling a puny weedle.. Lol
