Yesterday I left the house I’ve been living in for 16 years. I’ll be moving to Kansas City next month, though that house won’t be ready for another 3-4 weeks.
Just be glad you have a house you can call home.
@Sexy Homunculus, (Early) Welcome to Missouri!
@TheGrizzlyPhantom, I’m actually moving to the Kansas part of it (specifically an area called Lenexa).
But I’ve heard all the good stuff is on the Missouri side, so I’m definitely looking forward to checking it all out.
@Sexy Homunculus, yeah. But in Overland Park, you've got the KC Chiefs stadium and the Sporting KC stadium (if you like soccer). And there's the KC Renaissance festival if you're into that kind of thing.
@Sexy Homunculus, I also live in Lenexa it’s a good town
Having a child draw their house is actually one of the best ways to see into how they subconsciously view their own life. It also works with adults, you just don't tell them that's what you're doing, and instead of asking them to draw their house, ask them to mentally picture a house, and draw that.
@TheStarHawk, I demand 3 bathrooms. Some of my family members use the restroom when im driving like a maniac so I don't pee my seat. Sigh... I person can dream.
You want me to take you seriously then put in the work
I’d take them outside and give them light critique. Hold it up and look at the picture then the house and go “it’s really good! You could straighten up some of the lines on the left, but I love it.” If they take to it and actually try improving I’ll keep giving them light critique and hopefully help them develop into an artist.
@AceWolf456, and I do mean light. I wouldn’t go “well it’s the wrong color and we don’t have that kind of roof” because that’s how you crush dreams. Children have gentle minds.
