Absolutely vicious. Pure evil, killing machine.
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, yeah, a toothbrush in the wrong hands can be pretty dangerous
My dog won’t let me do this, and I don’t have anyone to help me do it. As a result, her teeth are rotting.
@I Are Lebo, I got my dog on a health care plan that covers dental cleaning, highly recommend. Only $35 a month
@Natural Sarcasm , as far as I can tell, such a thing is not available in my area. Plus, my dog is about 13-14 years old.
@I Are Lebo, ahhh yeah they probably wouldn’t do it for your dog unless it was in exceptionally good health, as it involves sedating them, the older they get the riskier it is
@Natural Sarcasm , yeah. I looked into it. Wasn’t worth it. Not for the cost or for how miserable it would make her.
@I Are Lebo, well my dog was never miserable as he was rollin his ass off lol but the real risk for older dogs is that they won’t wake up. So I totally understand why you wouldn’t do it
@I Are Lebo, You can buy chewing toys that are designed to improve dental health. Some of those can also be covered with toothpaste (for dogs). Ask your vet or a well assorted pet shop.
@Rapunzel, I occasionally get her dental chews. She’s lost a couple of teeth in more recent years, so it’s unclear whether or not they’re helping.
@I Are Lebo, Have you tried “Bucadog” from Aptus? They have both toothpaste and chewing pieces that works really well. Check it out here: www.aptuspet.com
@Rapunzel, thanks for the tip!
@I Are Lebo, I hope this works for your precious doggie 🤗
Gotta keep them chompers clean
My Ridgebacks used to let my daughter file & paint their nails. The breed is really relaxed around people, children especially.
But they also hunt lg game (I wont specify what, google em...) as uniquely as I've ever seen
Somebody put dougs voice over the flapping
“Doin me a hygiene.”
