So we lost computer neutrality 5 years ago and now we are losing computer neutrality?
Except that's NOT HOW NET NEUTRALITY WORKS!
@Captain Swordsman, net neutrality only prevents Internet service providers from blocking or throttling content. They did this because Comcast did that to Netflix. They’ve also said that they will block “illegal“ websites, which, to Verizon apparently, means VPN download sites, as well as Pirate Bay, unofficial sites about copyrighted materials, among other things. I personally don’t use any of these things, besides the occasional Pirate Bay, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not ethically troubling that they’re taking the last free form of communication away from us.
@UmActually, they're not taking away our last free form of communication, that's what they will do if it remains a title two utility and we end up with a Democrat president
@Captain Swordsman, Again, net neutrality does not give the government control of the content. In fact, net neutrality specifically states that it doesn’t. That both the government and the Internet service providers have to keep their hands off of the content of the Internet.
