If you don't understand this you've never used a wrench.
@JackoftheDead, I put a new thermostat in my gf's house yesterday and lost a screw on a freshly cleaned hardwood floor somehow
@JackoftheDead, I fix laptops and phones, try finding those tiny tiny screws
@JackoftheDead, when you're working on a car, and drop your socket from the top of the engine and don't hear it hit the ground...
@Country Tyler, that's when I ask my Mexican friend with the tiny hands to help.
@JackoftheDead, forget trying to find the bolt. Where the fvck did the nut roll off too?
My first two thoughts were either a crossbow bolt, or a lightning bolt, but neither of the two made sense in my mind, and I wondered if it was a term some other country used.
What the hell is a bolt?
@rnf73, Lightening, the choice weapon of Zeus, son of Kronos
@rnf73, a very fast runner.
@rnf73, a super dog.
@rnf73, the opposite of a nut
And the bolt is greasy and the floor is a dark color....
If you've never dropped an odd size screw in a lathe's chip pan, you don't know the struggle.
@EatMyAss, I feel your pain, those chips are razor sharp. That screw is pretty much gone if you still want two hands.
@EatMyAss, that's not an issue. Just accept that that screw no longer exists and get a new one. Works for mills too.
