@megamanx181x, and by the gods did they not age well 😆
@megamanx181x, You mean rage on behalf of the machine?
@Gamasennin, sounds more appropriate
i have no problem with ‘rich’ people. folks with 10s of millions? fine. maybe even 100 mil or 200 mil. idgaf. its the guys sitting on hundreds of billions just to do it, like a fvckin tolkein dragon. you dont need that money. theres literally nothing you could do with that much personal wealth that would make you any happier or improve your life at all. and this wealth isnt liquid at all, its active in the greater securities market in large proportion so those same tolkein dragons can amass more gold for some reason, which means its not just a carbon sink of money that affects nobody and can be offset by printing more. no. it takes up large swathes of the greater business market that actively pushes others out and creates an oligarchical system by which a small group of individuals that nobody elected has extreme sway over the social evolution of the globe as a whole
@Hoban Washburne, if you’re rich, good on ya. way to succeed or inherit familial wealth or whatever. thats capitalism. if you’re ultra-rich, i admit thats also capitalism, but its a negative byproduct of capitalism that is fvcking over america, and you can fvck yourself
@Hoban Washburne, someone smarter than me did a rough calculation to determine the upper echelons of the 1% are richer than smaug, proportionally. Literal 2021 dragons
@Hoban Washburne, most people in need can get help if they need it. But if people want to do more, they have to earn it themselves. They would screw the system up more money to where it doesn’t belong. Give a lazy fisherman a bunch of fish, he’ll be more entitled next week. If you teach him to fish and he won’t do it, too bad. But I’ve been in many tough situations, and I’ve been helped by many kinds of people through all walks. And also government assistance works decently for the needy. It’s livable. People have to learn themselves.
The world is harsh. People aren’t inherently good or hard-working. Oh well. Mind your own business. Or become a dragon yourself and take them down.
..... that’s bad argument. As a child; I had no choice where I grew up. It would be reall shiety to judge someone’s ideas based on something they have no control over.
@Monter408, its also very shjtty to have blind ideals about distribution of wealth when you yourself have never known the hardships of lacking it. And in a socialist society, wealth would theoretically cease to be. I guess hypocrisy is the thing theyre going for in the meme
looks like an average house to me
@Z0IDBERG, You must be rich
@Z0IDBERG, gets out fork and knife
Upper middle class is not "rich"
@HSA, compared to whom? Our poorest are more rich then many nations middle class.
Not even talking about the Socialist ones, just a decently large portion.
@HSA, but they don’t qualify for free school lunches, they have to be rich
@That one lurker, don’t use “whom” to make your comment sound smarter. It’s obvious who they are talking about, and you know it. Don’t be a prick. We all know “there’s starving kids in Africa.” We’re not talking about that and you know it. And if I’m the only one to call you on your hoity toity bull, then so be it.
@AceWolf456, people who lived in a house like that were extremely rich compared to my family growing up so i understand what hes talking about.
@HSA, if we simply "eat the rich," they are next in line after the money of the rich runs out and we find we still need more.
@AceWolf456, "whom" is correct though, as it's the object of the preposition "to". "Who" is used when it's the subject of a sentence, and "whom" is used it's an object. I don't much care for any of your comment, but to order a stranger to use improper grammar because it's more relatable to you is arrogant, among other things.
@HSA, eat the upper middle class!!
@HSA, true. But people who grew up financially well are the ones bitching about everything like they have a single clue what it’s like to grow up in a ghetto being poor as dirt. Bout time someone is calling these people out.
@MMSieBreeze, i guess i should add that growing up poor was what led me to be the person i am. I wanted to some day be in the position to give my children what i never had. I have achieved that goal. My next goal is to teach my children not to take what they have for granted. Ill take them to my old neighborhoods and show them how i lived before i let them think for a second that they deserve something for nothing.
I grew up in, & live in a house kinda like this. Unfortunately, it does not mean I’m rich. It means I’m working my ass off to pay that mortgage and support my family.
I always balked at that saying, ‘eat the rich’ because I have always held out hope that I’d be truly ‘rich’ one day. But I’ve contented myself with being upper-middle class.
No yachts or luxury cars, no luxury vacations, or designer clothes. My riches exist in my happy, healthy, thriving family, including a wonderful marriage, and my ability to provide opportunities for my children.
Now, the folks with hundreds of millions, or billions? Eat em up.
I really wish people would stop trying to compare and bring people down to their level. It’s not your call on who has to suffer or who gets an easy life. Some people have it easy in some ways and harder in others. Do what makes you happy, live your life like you’re only racing yourself trying to do a little better each lap. Don’t worry about what you don’t have, find love in what you do have. Work hard and have pride in your hard work, it doesn’t have to be world changing just has to be something you put a little heart into.
this is what people say who don’t want to work . just shut up. why do you think you deserve other peoples money?
I understand what they're saying, but still, the problem for people living in $200,000 houses is not people living in $500,000 houses. It's people with four separate $21,000,000 houses.
I don't wanna brag about being rich or anything but i only wash My paper plates twice before I throw them away
Just because someone is upper middle class doesn't make them a hypocrite for thinking it's wrong for people to horde billions of dollars.
I mean college sophomores grew up in those houses from 2003-2008 right?
Hot shjit! I'm rich!!!
