@I am a horse, doing 8 hours of mentally challenging work is more difficult than doing 8 hours of mediocre physical work that you can do easily without thinking about it. Also you get paid to work at work, if only students got paid with anything except "knowledge" 99.9% of which no adult uses or even thinks about.

@Summerwolves, that's... Not true. At all. School has been and will remain the hardest thing I've ~ever~ had to do. I've worked several different jobs, several where I had 72 hour weeks and I would still choose them over school. No grades to keep up, no immature children making fun of you, no power tripping teachers, no calls to your parents, no HOMEwork, (once you leave work you're done, it's amazing) and you only have to know one thing to go to work and that's how to do your job, not how to do advanced chemistry. Take it from me kids, school blows major horse djck, but I did go to college and get a degree so it is necessary (but a bunch of bullshjt)

@pofateto, yeah college is much more difficult than high school, but unless you have a super easy job, school is easier. No responsibility, grades only matter if you plan on going to college straight out of high school. I got straight as but they do me no good because I took a break between highschool and college. As time passes you will see how much easier school was than work. Getting a degree will always make work seem not as hard. Just the responsibility alone can crush you and school is not like that. I'm not social and don't wish to be so I guess I don't see that part. I'd take parent phone calls over slave labor anyday. Getting paid is an advantage but if high school was really hard for you I have bad news about the future

@pofateto, Not every job is something where "once you leave work, you're done." In fact, my mom, dad, brother, and even myself (when I was working over the summer) frequently have to do work at home. If you work for a company where you need to get things done on a deadline, you will definitely not just be free from responsibility from work once you get home, and the people who think that way are usually considered bad employees and unreliable. Also, "no grades to keep up," that's laughable. You screw up in school once and you get a bad grade on the assignment, you screw up at your job and you lose the job and, most likely, your only source of income. I'm in college right now but I've spent my last two summers working full time at a job that I love and it's still mentally draining and a LOT harder than going to class and doing homework.

My problem with homework is the extra time it takes to do it. I also have a job, am the leader of my Boy Scout troop, on the wrestling team, and I go to the gym. I also have a girlfriend (sorta kinda I'm working on it) and actual friends that I like to hang out with. Add that to sleep and I just don't have enough time
Try college
