You know what I find interesting is how cats keep track of time. They have no idea what it is but every night around 8:30, my cat tracks me down and meows at me to feed her.

@18bluecat, a lot of the time your cat is noticing something that happens often around that time. Usually they notice a certain action their owners take or a certain sound (a clock or something). Pets are kinda smart.
@18bluecat, cats have a circadian rhythm as well. Humans behavior shapes it. Every morning at 5:10, my girlfriends alarm used to go off. Now, she has a slightly different schedule, but the repetition has been engrained into our cat. TLDR: don’t get a cat if you enjoy your sleep
